One of the good games that plays and feels like Little Nightmares, with a rich Scandinavian setting and folklore that sets it apart. It can be a bit gory in places but that fits the tone. Most importantly it doesn't overstay its welcome — a perfect game to finish over a weekend, and at this point in life that counts for a lot. The puzzles are easy to solve but satisfying, stealth sections never feel tedious, and the action is decent enough. The main issue is a clunky feeling to Olle's movement and controls that surfaces at the worst moments and slightly undercuts the experience. Well structured and engaging. Ole's journey to rescue his sister is a simple but effective premise, and encountering the various creatures of Nordic folklore along the way keeps things constantly interesting. The narrator does a wonderful job carrying the story forward. Immersive visuals that fully commit to the fairy tale setting. The kind of game where you feel genuinely part of the world — it successfully transfers that dark, magical atmosphere onto the screen. Best Part For an indie game to stand shoulder to shoulder with an established title like Little Nightmares is no small feat. The production quality and atmosphere punch well above their weight. Worst Part The movement and controls feel clunky at times, which is frustrating in a game where precise platforming and timing are regularly required.

A good game with nice graphics, an interesting theme and a story worth experiencing, but held back by mediocre combat and repetitive gameplay. The game suffers from facing the same enemies throughout, gear and leveling feel unrewarding, and the skill system is pretty basic. It doesn't evolve much as you progress, which makes the combat loop feel stale over time. The ghost cases are a highlight — solving each one keeps things engaging and gives the world real personality. The main quest has a genuinely nice plot that makes you want to see it through. Visually well-made with a strong sense of the era. The art direction shows a clear understanding of the setting and it shows in every environment. Best Part Antea's lines. The female protagonist's dialogue is the best writing in the game — sharp, emotional, and memorable. Worst Part Fast travel is camp-to-camp only, which is genuinely frustrating in a game packed with backtracking and fetch quests. It makes an already repetitive experience feel even more tedious. “Life to the living, death to the dead.”— The Banishers’ oath
