Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Breakpoint9
Jan 29, 2023
Ghost Recon Breakpoint launched in a questionable state and got hammered by a lot of reviewers. However, since that launch in 2019, Ubisoft has made many updates addressing bugs and adding new content. The game has actually turned around and I have had more fun in this game than I typically find in a shooter. The "Project Titan" raid was released about a month after launch. I do not personally have experience with raids because I have no friends to co-op with. Starting early in 2020, they released the Terminator DLC and later Deep State, and Red Patriot. In 2021, Amber Sky was released and features as a reward, one of my favorite assault rifles, the 4-AC. This thing is incredible with its accuracy, range, capacity, and sound. Disregard the negative description of "high recoil" because with ASR skills mastered, this thing is a laser. The vehicles handle pretty well in the game although land vehicles are ridiculously unrealistic. A sedan that resembles a Cadillac that can climb the most rocky mountain cliffs isn't very sensible, but still fun. The helicopters are a joy to fly and very easy, the planes, not so much, but they are rarely necessary to pilot. Co-op in the game is very fun. I only wish I knew more people that played so I could run with a 4-player team. As of this review, the game has a 2.9 User Score which is far off the mark for the game today. With all the other trash games out lately, players are returning to Breakpoint and even Wildlands to get their open world shooter fix. Don't dismiss these titles by the user scores here. Pick them up when they are on sale for around $9. You won't regret it.

Terrible game, terrible company. Pre-ordered this and couldn't play because queues were always over 4 hours in the first week, so I politely requested a refund and received an instant permanent account ban for my trouble.

I've never actually played this so I gave it a score of it's current user average so as not to skew its score. I am just wondering how an SMG is supposed to be fired in a weightless atmosphere? Since every action has an opposite and equal reaction, wouldn't this result in your body being recoiled backwards with the same force as the bullet?

Supreme Commander10

All I can say is, some people have a strange view of what makes a good RTS. Supreme Commander is a great title because this game is really supreme. I have played about every RTS I can find and this tops them all in its scale and scope of game play and it's terrific graphics. The abilities one has to control the units is simply enormous. You can queue up build orders, attack orders, designate patrol paths, set ferrying orders so that transports will wait by factories until units are constructed, then load them automatically, fly them to the point of your choosing, unload and return for more reinforcements. You can set multiple build orders in a factory: Build two of these, five of those, three of these and so on, even have the loop repeat. You can upgrade the Commander with various new abilities which differs by faction. You can literally scroll out in a second to view an enormous landscape and yet still control all your units with ease. The game runs very smoothly at maximum settings with hundreds of units on the screen with any decent computer today. The models and animations are highly detailed and you can zoom in very close. No, I wouldn't compare this game to the Total War series: Those are the slowest, most boring games I ever played. If I wanted something that slow-paced, I would still be played Avalon Hill strategy board games, like I did as a child. At least they were interesting. Don't listen to the naysayers here, just look at the amount of positive reviews and realize they are only trying to rock the boat. Supreme Commander rules!
