Sonic Runners7
May 4, 2022
One of the only endless runners that utilises a 2D view point. There was a lot of character select options and there was regular events. Even though the game was downloaded around 6 million times, sega decided to unplug the servers.

Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric2
May 2, 2022
This game insulted me. Its first sin is that the characters were redesigned to look more like mutant humans. Secondly, sonic is a platformer, not an adventure game. Then there are the glitches upon glitches upon glitches. Every stage feels the same and the game treats the player as if they are an idiot. It is without a shadow of a doubt, the WORST mainline sonic game.

Sonic: Lost World8
May 2, 2022
Stages feel like cylinders now and the controls that sonic is used to are completely different. The game doesn't feel fast like a sonic game should. It looks quite decent, nearly like a mario game. You can see that some stages have been inspired by the mega drive era too. It has a huge difficulty spike that caught me out and I wasn't prepared for which was actually really annoying. I recommend it to platformer fans that are ready to be patient for later stages.

I have loved forza for years and get excited for every new release. I like how I think, thats it, we reached the peak, we aren't getting any better than this and then say that about the next game too. It stills looks nothing short of magnificent. Completion will keep you busy for many many weeks. It has a lot of content. Each track feels carefully crafted and a joy to race on. Its an easy game to learn to be good at without sacrificing the desire for a challenge from experienced players. Which is a thing too many games don't get right these days. I definitely recommend to anyone who is even a little bit interested in racing games.

Golden Axe: Beast Rider4
May 1, 2022
This game insulted me. I love golden axe, always have, but to see such an idiotic excuse for an extremely rare retro revival hurt me. One of my greatest disappointments not just in video games but life for flip sake. I lost my faith in sega for years after this. Do not recommend unless you are incredibly desperate for a combat base game.

Rayman Legends10
May 1, 2022
This is one of my favourite games of all time. This is undoubtedly the best level design in a 2d platformer of all time. Then of course you have the graphics, my good lord, its so beautiful and easy on the eyes, everything fits so seemslessly together and it runs to practical perfection. I loved the challenge and had a brilliant time getting completion. If you like platformers, make this your ultimate life goal to at least play the game, you will not regret it.

Rayman Origins10
May 1, 2022
Rayman's return to the 2nd dimension was a truly glorious one. It looks so beautiful, I truly commend ubiart for that. The controls are amazing and level design is peak. The characters are so expressive and there is so many of them. It has a nice difficulty spike too and I loved the since of achievement you got from completion. You can see your improved skills as the game progresses and its satisfying. The multiplayer is nothing short of pure fun and entertainment. I truly implore any platformer fan to pick up this game. I trust you will have nothing short of a thrilling experience. But were the design of the nymphs completely necessary lol. Not complaining but, you know.

Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc10
May 1, 2022
Rayman 2 would have been hard to top, but this game quite possibly does just that. It looks great and has fantastic gameplay and controls. I love the mechanics and aesthetic a lot too. Good level design and bosses are evident throughout. I also love the soundtrack to bits. Amazing game and I would recommend it to any platformer fan.

Rayman 2: The Great Escape10
May 1, 2022
One of the most seemless transitions from 2d to 3d in video games. It looks quite good for the time too. Great platforming quality gameplay with good controls. Its an easy game with a surprisingly deep story. Absolutely anyone remotely into platformers will love this game. Arguably the best rayman game.

Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts7
May 1, 2022
Its not banjo threeie. Once you get over that fact, you can begin to enjoy the game. It looks fantastic and the controls are decent. The very few instances platforming is needed, i lamented what might have been if they were used for a platformer. Its a decorated collection of vehicular challenges that can get repetitive. But it has a lot of content too. But my favourite part of this game, is the MASSIVE amount of easter eggs and secrets linked in with exploration makes me giddy. Its a celebration of not just banjo kazooie but rare as a whole. I recommend it to any banjo fan whole-heartedly.

Banjo-Pilot6
May 1, 2022
Out of the three racing games banjo has been in, this is the only one he owns himself and it also happens to be the weakest one too. But banjo pilot is fun and thats all it is. Pure simple fun to enjoy, banjo fan or not. I mildly recommend it.

Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge8

The last truly banjo-esque banjo game we got, it feels like tooie but it is in an isometric view point. For anyone who played the first two banjo games and wants more, this is the perfect choice.

Banjo-Tooie10
May 1, 2022
The sequel to banjo kazooie was dangerously ambitious. It looks and runs arguably better than the first game. It is a lot bigger than the first game too and it even develops a story. The gameplay is good too, really good in fact. I would say its one of the biggest n64 games out there. It felt nearly overwhelmed by choice from the get go though. I also found the worlds didn't transition into each other as well as banjo 1. But its still a magnificent game with a lot of content and great gameplay. Its a pity we never got another very high quality banjo game again.

Sonic Shuffle6
May 1, 2022
Mario party but sonic sums the game up half decently. It has adventures graphics and it runs decently. But there is next to nothing in sonic shuffle that you couldn't get in better condition somewhere else. Regardless, its fun to play with friends and at the end of day, isn't that what video games are all about.

Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 26
Apr 26, 2022
The last crash game before the hiatus was an uninspired attempt. But not a very bad one. I dont like mobile games and its extremely difficult to find a way to play it these days. It looks better than ctr but a bit more bland than nitro kart from what I remember. It has been a long time since I played it. The gameplay and controls function which is always welcome. It nearly reminds me if a de-pixelized GBA game. I honestly can't remember if it has a story or not. And thats probably not a good thing. I remember the appeal for me was with the online mode. Which I enjoyed thoroughly. If you get the chance to play the game, definitely play it. But don't hunt down a nearly 15 year old phone just to play this.

Crash Bash7
Apr 25, 2022
The 5th crash game and final playstation exclusive crash game. It takes the the crash 3 graphics and slightly optimizes them. The gameplay is a load of warp rooms full of minigames. It has a lot reused content throughout. I had a very boring time getting 200%. With all of the reused content its already repetitive, but you have to play every single one 3 times to get the trophy. Its really annoying. It also has one of the worst stories in a crash game of all time. But i have to give it to crash bash, its good fun and you can get an hour or so of sheer enjoyment, and I also find it as a game you can have nostalgia for and just relax while you play.

CTR: Crash Team Racing10
Apr 23, 2022
Crash's first attempt at a kart racer is possibly the best one of all time. When universal wanted a new crash game but naughty dog wanted to make a racer there was only one thing that was going to happen. Enter crash team racing. It looked quite like crash 3 and ran smoothly. It has such an amazing control system that should be the envy of many kart racers even over 20 years later. It has an average enough story but its ok because it doesn't really need one. The game holds up well today and will always be very fun and satisfying, its great that its since been remastered in 2019 in crash team racing nitro fueled. In a nutshell its a classic and easily tops mario kart 64 in every way.

Crash Bandicoot: Warped10
Apr 21, 2022
The third installment in the crash bandicoot franchise was an extremely strong one. For the time it looked great and ran well. The gameplay and controls were peak although I didn't like all of the vehicle sections, most notably the plane sections. The idea of warp rooms and crate breaking mechanics were great ideas, it had motivation to be completed too with the reward of new levels. It was quite a small amount of glitches which is always welcome. It is an easier game than crash 1+2 but still a gem and a truly classic crash game.

Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy10
Apr 21, 2022
It cannot be understated how ecstatic I was when crash came back. Its one of my favourite franchises of all time. A full remaster of the original trilogy with new content and relics in crash 1+2. I feel like crash 1+2 were made a bit easier while crash 3 felt harder than the original but I didnt mind. I actually quite liked the harder bits. It looks fantastic and its severely unarguable that when it was released it was the best looking crash game. Its gameplay and controls are the same as the original if not a bit better. There was new content too, like stormy ascent and future tense offering two new challenges being, in my opinion, the two hardest levels in the game. No complaints in terms of longevity as its 3 games in one. Every game has glitches and this game is no different but no really annoying ones. Top marks for one of my favourite remasters of all time.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time10
Apr 20, 2022
Its taken a good 20 years but crash 3 got a sequel and japanese box artists were mocked in the process. First of all, it looks brilliant, its the best looking crash game yet I would say. Its gameplay and controls are also spot on with a very useful feature in a little yellow circle that indicates where you will land. I also like how emphasised the new mask power-ups and crate breaking goals are. Its a fine story too. You can also watch n tropy flirt with himself and dingodile start cursing and blinding. For nostalgia purposes I would like crash to stay family friendly ( even though tawna ) but if this keeps him relevant I am ok with it. But I must say, christ was getting 106% hard. It took me 80+ hours. But a great game nonetheless and I hope crash 5 will build upon this game. Top marks.

Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure10
Apr 20, 2022
The first game in a glorious franchise. I have a lot of nostalgia for it. It looks a bit on the graphically weak side but I would never downgrade a game for that as long as it functions. And it does and does it very well indeed. The gameplay is also a strong point with a nice difficulty curve that never does get too difficult. The toys to life function was very magical back in the day. Its more standard now, or well 5 years ago it was. The figures weren't too expensive and were reliable and for the most part, durable. The game is a reasonable length with 22 levels and 4 extra levels. I have had issues recently with crashes but it autosaves so its no problem. Just a minor annoyance. Its a fantastic game, the toxic spyro fans can keep spyro, he's barely in the game anyway.

Skylanders Giants10
Apr 20, 2022
While its by far not the best game of all time, it is my favourite of all time. I have a dangerously high amount of nostalgia for this game and it was the first game I ever got 100% for. The gimmick is that there is now bigger skylanders that can do things cores and lightcores can't. Its a shorter game than its predecessor but all levels, bar maybe autogyro adventure, are solid levels. Some of the bosses could be improved with the use of healthbars though. The story is good using the arkeyans as the central point. Fantastic game with memorable moments throughout.

Skylanders Imaginators10
Apr 20, 2022
The final skylanders game had easily the best gimmick. To create your own skylanders. It expanded the possibilities to a point were you technically had way too many ways to play the entire game. Weakest story in skylanders but fantastic gameplay. Its the most childish skylanders game and so much is locked behind new skylanders. Some of which are very expensive... but yet, i love the game a lot. The post game content is brilliant and you can use any skylander from the entire series here. I still play it constantly and its nearly as good as trap team to max out skylanders. Despite the expensive skylanders, its a fantastic game worth playing.

Apr 18, 2022
I was very excited for this game, my favourite franchise branching out into one of my favourite genres was pure magnificence. And what a game it was. Looks fantastic, good level design, amazing post game content and a brilliant story which reminded me of sonic in the dreamcast era in a way. Its a short game. And thats my only gripe. Best performance of a skylander game easily. Top marks.

Skylanders Trap Team10
Apr 18, 2022
The fourth installment in the skylanders franchise was truly a gem. It looks like giants mixed with swap force and I am a big fan. Loads of mechanics, great gameplay, great level design and a fantastic roster. I love the post game content as well. The skylanders were a bit expensive as my wallet is still on life support but most were worth it. My biggest issue is that the game has a painful abundance of glitches. If I weren't an avid skylander fan I would probably find them more annoying but I am and I don't. Arguably the best level layouts in the series. Top marks.

Skylanders Swap Force10
Apr 18, 2022
It was the third installment in the Skylanders franchise that I have so much nostalgia for. It increases the graphical power upon the first two games by a longshot. And while I do love those two games a lot, it was apparent that the style of graphics would soon become outdated and begin to be criticised. Every aspect of the game is solid, story is fine, gameplay is peak, level design is great, a fantasticly smooth difficulty spike and good enemy placement. My only issue is that the levels were a bit long on my first playthrough all those years ago bit a very solid game overall and its in my top 30 of all time
