Left 4 Dead 27
Aug 21, 2025
Not far off from its predecessor, Left 4 Dead 2 I feel was a rushed sequel that failed to deliver on gameplay improvements, QoL adjustments, or overall gratifying gameplay.

As my first zombie game that thrusted me into watching the 28 franchise, this nostalgic gem still holds up just as well as it did 17 years ago when it released. Valve caught lightning in a bottle with this IP and they know it. The co-op action, the fleshed out campaigns, and the believable and relatable characters make this worth playing. Nearly two decades later this game still comfortably sits around 10-13k active at any given point during the week.

Fallout 49

Bethesda delivers yet another immersive and story-rich open world RPG for us to enjoy. Fallout 4 is hands down one of the best titles in the franchise. The dialogue options, open world, building settlements, and so many easter eggs make every single playthrough or session unique and different. Being a lifelong Fallout fan, I find myself booting up Fallout 4 every single year to play through the story again. Worth the wait and worth the money spent.

Deep Rock Galactic8

Ah a classic. Deep Rock Galactic was one of the first titles my brother and I played on PC and we absolutely love it. At its core, DRG is a horde shooter with 4 playable class types. The progression system is streamlined and the upgrades you can slap on your weapons are generally easy to achieve. All DLCs for this title are cosmetic only and there isn't a battle pass system which is already a 10/10 from me. If you're looking for a steady title to kill time with your friends, consider this one.

Drive Beyond Horizons6
May 8, 2025
Early Access titles are becoming more and more frequent in todays gaming landscape. Drive Beyond Horizons offers a new and fresh approach to the "fix your car up" open world survival title. With some base mechanics similar to The Long Drive, this title adds an ambitious change of pace with a beautiful open world and survival elements that you have to manage, on top of maintaining your vehicle, and progressing throughout the map. The reason this title is receiving a 6 right now is due to the instability of the latest build. Frequent crashes, no clipping bugs, and collision errors that only make sense in a game development trial and error session has tied my hand to give DBH a lower rating than I normally would. A promising sign is that the development team is consistently pushing out hotfixes and patches for the early access version. I remain optimistic for the full release and applaud the development team for undertaking such an ambitious project. Well done.

Farming Simulator 258

A worthy successor to the last entry in the franchise. This title has had some performance and bug issues since Launch Day, but Giants has been very responsive and is continuously putting out updates to alleviate these QOL issues and bugs. Gameplay has been tweaked since the last title, and it shows in the stunning visuals and almost cinematic dynamic weather and lighting system.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War10

The campaign is unreal. I mean absolutely incredible. The callbacks to Black Ops 1, the writing, the pacing, the environments, are phenomenal. Absolutely unbelievable experience. I felt like I was back in 2011 playing Black Ops 1 for the first time. Unreal.

Far Cry 63
Jun 18, 2024
Giancarlo was the only positive thing to come out of this title. Lazy writing, dry dialogue, and bugs for days, this “gem” from Ubisoft is so far from the national treasure that is its predecessor. UI is horrid, gameplay is clunky, and yes. I still haven’t bothered beating it in 2024.

Listen, this game changed how I viewed open worlds and the sheer amount of work that goes into an AAA title. I have no words. The map is gorgeous and the story is compelling and action-packed. An absolute must play for any FPS fan. With a compelling and lengthy story, lovable and relatable NPCs, and the guns-for-hire system being on full display, this is on the best entries in the franchise. 7 years after release, I still pick it up and play through the story time and time again because of the impact it had on me as a software developer student and fan of the franchise.

Bramble is an absolute gem. I mean the storytelling just in the environment alone is enough to get you invested. What a brilliant and well crafted story. Unbelievable journey start to finish

For the most part, a very fun game. However, there were many glitches and bugs that were quite annoying that rendered me helpless during gameplay. Other than that it is a very fun game
