The Elder Scrolls Online0

Graphics are subpar and bland. Music is subpar and bland. Classes are subpar and bland... pattern? Every zone had (and still has) quests so broken that the game comes to a stop, requiring 2-5 restarts or simply logging off for a day for them to reset it. PVP is fun if and only if you have a group of friends playing with you or you're able to figure it out on your own. That and it's already impossible to catch up if you're just starting (and the game hasn't even been out for six months). Doing all the quests will put you below 50 if you happened to select Daggerfall as your starting faction, leaving you completely SCREWED. Trade skills were touted as one of the best features of the game and while it's impressive your left with a bank so small and so expansive to upgrade that you'll need all 10 character slots just to hold small amounts of mats (that stack poorly on top of everything else). This game is a mess. Mod Skyrim and avoid this cash grab. SHAMEFUL.

Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition9
Jun 5, 2014
The game is visually stunning with tons of aesthetic ambience. The setting treated as a character is highly developed. Lara is well designed, fun to play, smart and without those awful stigmas from older games. But the game is full of AWFUL quick time events and difficulty spikes that are misplaced and unbalanced which drag the game down from what should have been a fantastic game! Definitive Edition update: Impressive looking on the PS4 with nice touches such as using the touch pad for torch lighting and changing LED lights (though gimmicky). I don't like that the game fully installs but the disc spins the whole time, that seems stupid and wasteful on the hardware!

Dragon Age II7

They took the first game, which has polished last gen graphics and gave the new game even more slightly polished graphics. No amount of user mods were able to bring its quality up to standard. However, the graphics aren't awful either, just very old for a AAA title in 2011. Unlike the first game, I enjoyed the main character (female character) much more as it feels like the put slightly more effort into him/her. The best part of this game is Varric Tethras who steals the show from every other character.

Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition7
Jun 5, 2014
Graphics feel like polished last gen however, the story is passable and the characters are most likely the best part of the game (although nothing to write home about). As in any RPG it's the supporting cast that makes the game come to life as the main character in Dragon Age is just awful. Bonus points for being a long story that doesn't drag on or over stay its welcome.

Sid Meier's Civilization IV: Complete10
Jun 5, 2014
Easier to score and review this than a game plus expansions. This might be the best Civilization game every made, even more than the newest; V. This game has HUNDRED and HUNDREDS of in-depth, deep game play, with games that can last hours. Opening theme music should be on everyone's top 5 list (despite it being religious) and the narrator is one in a million. They seriously should have paid him what ever he wanted to do the new game.

Sid Meier's Civilization V: Brave New World7
Jun 5, 2014
With this final expansion comes the last bit of depth that was missing from the original launch, finally bringing it to the level of civilization 4. It still bothers me that people are expected to pay for problems that should have never been present to begin with but the industry is firm in its cash grab mentality and honestly, people (myself included) can't do much about it, so best enjoy it. Also, once again, I can only go so far in my complaining as this also added another 40 hours of play to my hundreds.

Sid Meier's Civilization V: Gods & Kings7
Jun 5, 2014
Feels like the trend of "lets have you pay for what should have been in the original" has really taken flight and it's very shameful. Half of what you pay for in this "expansion" should have been patched in and the other half should have been packaged into a lower priced DLC. Still, this added another 50 hours to my play time so I guess I can only be so angry...I did, after all pay for it knowing full well what to expect!

Sid Meier's Civilization V7
Jun 5, 2014
This game feels like it's about half the quality of the previous and famous Civilization 4. It looks better than 4 but it should, it's a newer game. I feel like many of the streamlined changes from "revolution" found their way into 5, as in many of your actions lack depth. Still, hundreds of hours of play has to count for something and it's certainly enjoyable despite being shallow.

Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution7
Jun 5, 2014
Quick paced and enjoyable PS3 fun! The problem with bringing games like Civilization to PS3 or Xbox is that you get something that's nothing like the original. The game is so streamlined I feel as if it should have been called something other than Civilization. I guess that's why that tacked on the "Revolution" bit =p

World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria3
Jun 5, 2014
I felt like this expansion started out VERY strong. I was impressed with the story and all the zones. That is, until I finished the quests and was left with dailies. This is the first expansion that I felt had not a single fun raid boss fight. Every raid was hard and tedious for the sake of being hard and tedious, nothing was made to be fun and challenging a the same time. Hell, even the previous expansion had enjoyable fights and people complain about those being hard all the time! The sheer amount of daily grind that I had to do prevented me from fully enjoying PVP and raid content and was pushed out of raiding and PVP for the first time in any expansion. Many of my friends came back to this expansion excited but quickly left after 2 months. Failure to keep players is not the fault of the player! The community has utterly destroyed this game's enjoyment for me and I'm sure many others. Final thoughts; Game grinds to a painful stop once you hit 90 and have to grind (even after all the changes made), getting into normal pick up groups (what I considered to be a staple of wow raiding) is impossible due to a toxic community. The community being toxic is a strange side effect of the internet an while I can't say WOW invented the problem (it's a problem in every mmo) it ruins the game! At the start of the game it was going to get a 10; -2 for grinding problems -2 community -2 for ending the expansion on a grind island. -1 for being unable to keep players interested (lack of innovation?).

World of Warcraft: Cataclysm8
Jun 5, 2014
A lot of people didn't/ don't like this expansion but I really enjoyed it. It was difficult and made the bad players who thought they were good (who also happen to always have the biggest mouths) leave out of frustration. The community continues to get more and more toxic and it continues to effect the game itself. Some of the best 5man content comes from this expansion as well as some of the best raid boss fights. BWD (and the final boss) could be argued as reused content like NAXX as well as reusing a certain famous boss from the original game. At this point all my friends have stopped playing which lowered my enjoyment by half. I also enjoyed the remake of the original game, it needed the upgrade bad.

World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King8
Jun 5, 2014
The game starts with reused raid content, regardless of their reasoning, minus 1 point. The quality of life changes to the game are fantastic (crafting, materials, secondary skills) Ulduar is one of the best raids every made and VERY awesome looking. From here on the raids redeem the game's initial mistake if redone NAXX. People start dropping their subs and the influx of new, younger players begins to shift the mmo community into a toxic downwards spiral. =(

World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade10

I had the most fun in wow during this expansion. It was much harder than the original and felt more rewarding. PVP was great with the introduction of areas, heroic mode instances and some of the best raids of all time!

World of Warcraft10

Looking back ten years I would say this game was hands-down one of the best things to every come along. I really cannot find anything to hold against it that isn't petty sounding (to me). I had a core group of 10 real life friends who all played this game at the same time and that really made this game amazing to me. I can't get those gaming years back!

Diablo III: Reaper of Souls7
Jun 5, 2014
I wouldn't call this an expansion... as many other people have noted, this is more of a DLC made to feel like an expansion. Way over priced for what you get; 99% of the same loot but with a higher level cap and a half-assed story that ends -very- poorly... not to mention it feels rude to the players at times. Smooth launch??? the game is already live, it can't launch twice! However! many of the fixes (they aren't changes in my opinion) bring the game up to the level it should have been from the start. I would give this game a 6/10 but I've got 100's of hours each on several characters. It feels wrong to not factor that in. 7.

Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft6

I would have given this game a 7 or 8 however, first time players such as myself are put against "similar skilled" people with what seems like very over-powered (paid for decks). Some classes are way better than others with starting cards that nearly give you the win.
