Super Mario Party Jamboree: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV

What they tell you is that the switch 2 version has improved framerate and resolution, BUT what they don't tell you is that the only part of the game getting these upgrades is Party mode through separately playable Jamboree TV. That's it - everything else is in the original NS state - for 80 dollars.

TL:DR AT THE BOTTOM While incredibly fun, I decided to give this game only three points. I did so for three reasons: The most important reason for such a low score is, obviously, the price tag. I have no idea why this is paid. The best way to sum up this game is the tech demo which everyone immediately beloved and started hating it ten seconds later as soon as they figured out it's not going to be free. As much fun as Switch 2 Welcome Tour is, the "welcome tour" in this case is a ten dollar slap in the face, which is generally disappointing and actually, I'd go as far as calling it predatory. I would have given the game a solid seven if it were free. The second reason is that collecting the stamps gets very boring very quickly. In order to advance to the next area, you must collect all stamps in the previous one. These stamp pedestals are invisible unless you're close enough at which point they reveal. They are located in places of interest such as individual buttons, so you just have to run everywhere once to collect the stamps. It gets old FAST. After the sixth-ish area, it actually feels like a boring errand. The last thing about this thing that I cannot stand is that this entire game seems to employ a number of psychological strategies in an attempt to trick you into buying the (expensive) gadgets usable for the system (such as the camera). This is a very ambitious thought, but I have a reason to think so. A lot of the character dialogue suggests how they want this item so bad, how cool it feels, blah blah blah. It's very hard to explain, you have to play this game yourself to truly understand that this game's secondary purpose is to blatantly promote the gadgets. If you watch TV, you probably know those annoying commecial breaks which is a ten minute loop of ads being fed to you like candy to kids. In the case of the Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour, not only you have to sit through the promotion, you also have to PAY for it. So you are essentialy paying for a game which is actually an ad. It's pretty stupid. Like I said - you have to play this to fully understand. TL:DR summary: While this game is enjoyable, you're actually paying for a big ad pretending to be a game, due to the psychological predatory strategies which the game utilizes in a great amount. The fun content is constantly interrupted by the need to seek boring stamps to unlock new areas. Would recommend if this was free, but in its current state, it's actually quite embarassing.

The game starts out really good, the puzzles are something new. Every "main" chapter (1-7) introduces its own gimmick to change the Basic mechanic a little. I completed the game without looking up the solutions, it was fun, but the puzzles were far too simple and they kept repeating. The ideas are fantastic, but none of them reached their full potential and that's what hurts. The 8th and 9th chapter is a walking simulator, sorry. I dislike the parts where hugging the walls was required to see if the walls aren't simply a fake illusion, as those didn't make good puzzles. I must admit though, this game proves that humans are extremely predictable and it depends on it a lot of times, and I kept getting caught off guard and then was really surprised, that's a huge plus. To summarize this review, Superliminal is a fun game but the puzzles are not often the "main feature" as you spend more time walking around hallways. Buy it only on sale, for the full price of 20$ it's not really worth it.

The ideas the game had were lovely, though, they never reach their full potential and the game loses its charm after the second world. I did play through the whole game and I think it's really good. But it just lacks something to really make it stand out.

A beautiful game about impossible physics and gravity and changing between the two. Watching the entire level change in front of your eyes is amazing. Great soundtrack. But it is brutally short (everything completed in just 2 hours) and very slow, especially Ida's walk speed and certain rotating sections are clunky to control, but I could manage. I also don't think it is a proper puzzle game, because the levels are straight forward and you can't really lose, there were only two places in the whole game where I got stuck for couple minutes. I'd rather call it an adventure game.

Awful collection. I rate 5 ONLY because I never played any of these in the past, it would be like 1 otherwise. This collection contains nothing new. Nintendo just took three random games it thinks they are "breakthroughs" in the franchise history, put them into one game and that's pretty much it. I understand they didn't modify these games in order to preserve their "magic" and age, but honestly, they did a **** bad job at it. They SHOULD HAVE improved the horrendous controls of Super Mario 64. The controls are so garbage it's unplayable. Swimming underwater is a literal nightmare. Bad camera makes the games two times as hard than they are. This mess **** proves that Nintendo made this game only to milk some extra money.

I... don't like this game. The fixed camera makes the game brutally difficult, because you hardly see where you stand and where you'll land. The level design of some levels is absolute garbage. Imagine a boost pad that sends you into enemies off-camera you can't see with no time to react. This is in one of the levels and I died to it many times. The life system is completely unnecessary, because you are likely to lose all accumulated lives to bosses or badly designed levels. The game tries to be difficult and it is, but not because of the platforming challenges. It is because you can't properly look around yourself due to the locked-in-place camera and also bad level design. There is one level in the first game, where there is a section with platforms appearing and then falling and platforms visible in the distance, with wumpa fruit trail into the void. So I thought I should follow the fruit, boom, death. WHAT I WAS SUPPOSED TO DO was to jump onto a completely arbitrary spot, on a platform that is about to collapse and fall, and from there, jump onto an off-screen platform. This game's design is literally so cheap and poor I can't believe someone considers it as some amazing platformer. Not even mentioning the hitboxes and killer Nitro crates that jump from time to time, ending up killing you if the RNG feels like it. And also the incredibly sensitive controls... hmph. Awful game.

I couldn't complete the game without looking solutions to puzzles on YouTube multiple times and I was really bored of that crap. The enemies would be a story for another time, but for you, I'll sum them up quickly - imagine focusing on solving very difficult environment puzzles and constantly getting distracted by enemies attacking you. I guess it is a good idea to implement some combat to the game, but this game does everything in the cheapest way possible. The three points are for graphics and the secret room ideas...

This game is a mess. I did bother to collect all star coins, and just to be clear: it was NOT worth it, because this game is so uninspired there was no point to keep playing. The only world I had fun with was the first one. The difficulty was perfect, however, levels became disgustingly difficult after second world onward. Those levels were SO HARD! I almost switched to Toadette, but in the end, I did not (P-Acorns were luckily a big help). The sentence in Nintendo E-Shop, saying that this game has over 140 levels is misleading, as the game has only about 80. I like that this game has challenges, however, those challenges are not very interesting. The fire bro one is quite cool, but I guess that is everything. I hope I do not need to mention that there is literally nothing new from the Wii U version of the game. It is the exact same game, except the Luigi U DLC is included for free. Luigi U is basically the exact same game, but it is way harder than the Mario version of the game. I have BIG issues with the gameplay. First of all, every single time you die, you get kicked out of the level completely, forcing you to enter it every time you die, and you have to watch a 3 year old animation again and again. Instead of this, they could just respawn you at the start of the level or at the checkpoint to save everyone's time. I died hundreds of times, so at least 15 minutes of my total playtime was just watching the animation upon death and entering the level. Another important thing to mention is the way the game saves. The game does let you save ONLY after castle stages. If you want to save anywhere else, you have to rely on a very unreliable system called quick saving. The system does not work properly and very often did not save my progress, meaning something like playing one level during a break at school is impossible, you ALWAYS have to play to a castle to save the game. If you want to save the game freely, you can do that only after completing the game. The fact that this exists is DUMB. And when you beat a castle, I find even DUMBER that the game even asks you if you want to save. The game should save after every level automatically. The way some star coins are hidden is very cheap too, especially ghost house stages, which always require you to randomly jump into walls, hoping you find them. The secret exits in them are very cheap as well. This game is simply a mess that nobody should waste time with.

This game is really good. The soundtrack is amazing! Though, after completing the game, I do not feel like playing it anymore, and that is why it only gets 7/10. The difficulty is balanced even for Nintendo Switch newcomers and this was my first game I played on a Switch. If you want to just casually play the game, I think it is a fine 10-13 hour long experience. If you are going for collecting 100% of the power moons, I think it is something around 25 hours. I really want to collect all of them, but simply there is no point for doing it. Most of the power moons are simply lying around in the open, which makes them easy to find, but absolutely not rewarding at all. Take Cat Shines in Bowser's Fury for example. They are always locked away behind some kind of a challenge (such as riding Plessie, chasing down a rabbit, chasing shadow Luigi, general platforming on islands...), they are challenging to get and feel rewarding. In Super Mario Odyssey, that is no longer the case. The other thing about Power Moons is that there are way, way too many. That amount is absolutely unnecessary, and could have been lowered by 250 at least. Most of the moons are in the open anyway. There are around 850 unique moons to collect around the kingdoms, but the rest is locked away, because you have to buy the remaining 149 moons from shops for coins. Not only that it is an extremely lame decision, but you can buy the moons indefinitely, allowing you to reach the 999 goal (100%) with not much effort. Just buy tons of Moons. And if someone does so, you are not going to feel like collecting actual moons anymore, because you simply have the golden Odyssey sail, no point in doing it. Not mentioning that some of them make absolutely no sense. Why would some idiot even make a parking lot for motorbikes on a roof with only one single spot and even give you something for parking there? How did they expect citizen to regularly reach there! Nintendo's idea about purple coins is absolutely ridiculous. There is no way to find every purple coin in the game without looking for them, there is no way to buy a hint like for Power Moons. Now you might be thinking, that they are around Power Moons to find. Well, yeah, good point, but not really the greatest. There is always a chance that someone may miss some while going for the moons, either because they just want to play the game or miss them by accident. If that happens, what are you going to do? Do all moons again to traverse most of the kingdom one more time only to miss them again, or look them up on YouTube? All collectibles in all games which force the player to look them up on YouTube are bad collectibles, and purple coins cannot save themselves from being crap, that is how Nintendo created them. I really like that you can dress up Mario in some costumes, most of them look really really good. Some of the outfits grant you access to specific areas through the game and certain characters have some reactions when talking to them with a specific outfit. Most of them are really expensive, though, especially those ones unlocked later on (prices go up to 9999 coins for one item!!!), and they are absolutely unnecessary. Could have been lowered to 75% price. A big plus is that the game has lots of post-game content. If you completed the game on 100%, you still can kill some time playing Luigi's Balloon World, which is fun, if you don't encounter hackers, but that's a story for another time. Tanks are an absolutely ass capture. No, seriously. When playing while capturing a tank, you will feel that it is really off. They are so slow and aiming is painful as hell. The crosshair moves at different speeds on Y and X axis, meaning it is really hard to aim (and obviously, you cannot change it!) Also a good thing to ask, why do the characters behave like absolute idiots? I understand that it is a game for kids, but keep in mind that adults and teens play as well. Some of the characters say absolute trash and feel like they have vacuum in their brain. They also made Pauline a gold digger (she does not like cheap nice umbrellas, but likes expensive purses instead LOL). The very last two post game kingdoms are not kingdoms and have no reason to exist in the first place. They are not kingdoms, but doors to challenge rooms (one to a boss rush and the second one to a super long and tight section with no checkpoints). They just randomly added couple Moons to one of them to make them seem less empty and left them to rot there, but that did not help. They should have been in the last kingdom of the main story and just opened up after you reached all requirements to access them. With one being significantly emptier than the other, there are more almost completely blank kingdoms around the game. What a wasted opportunities they were, what a pity. Story moment, then random Moons and then bye. The game is extremely awesome. But it still has a lot of flaws, preventing it from being perfect.

Ok, sure. The editor is very powerful and you are unlimited with what can you create. You can create the craziest Super Mario Bros. scrolling airship you can possibly imagine, you can add power-ups, checkpoints and stuff... though, it still has its flaws - maximum of one checkpoint per sub-world, only two sub-worlds per level, limited level lengh... You can play levels made by others! Cool! The problem is that 90% of the levels (especially in Endless Challenge) are garbage and pure unplayable from start to the very flagpole. Popular level tab is completely flooded with some... "refreshing" levels which are all the same (and they all ****), plus they can be potentially dangerous for players with epilepsy. All other levels are some crap minigame levels and the rest is blue platform challenges, all the same. Other nice levels do not get a chance to get played. Story mode levels are the only decent levels in the game. So just to finish this off, the game is very promising, but very disappointing. A great game ruined by players and small children. A great game to play with friends and other people from all around the world. I myself love the game and have over 1500 hours in it. It is simple, it is fun, it is the perfect sandbox game I love to play and loved to play through the last 5 or so years. But it gets only 2/10 because of how ungrateful Microsoft is and for the new 1.19 "report" button, which is the worst feature ever added and Microsoft refused to remove it. Now you may be thinking: ,,well, Silverfish zero zero three, you ****, second thing, it is to prevent online predators and bad people from reaching to small children". To that I will say good point, but not really the greatest. Back in 1.15 or so, trying to access multiplayer menu would show a screen, directly warning the players of content unsupervised by Mojang or Microsoft. When the player clicked on continue, they were aware of the risks (and parents were as well as kids). And now they care if their tiny Steve is playing on a server that he joined completely by accident, and it happens to be a server where everyone speaks freely and uses some... let's just say... "extreme" words. So Steve, scared of what they see, is going to press the panic report button, ultimately ending the fun for all players, just because of one kid joining by accident, into a community they did not belong to at all. This feature is extremely bad for servers without any behavior regulations such as 2b2t. If I wanted to play on a server where everyone speaks 18+ stuff, I should have the right to do so and not being spied on by Microsoft. This feature can also be used to ban people you don't like, so report bombing is going to be a thing such as OptiFine cape bombing used to be back in the day. Plus servers now cannot make their own rules, because Microsoft now stated shared rules across all servers this very hideous way, pointing a huge middle finger at all players. Server owners and administrators were always moderating their servers by themselves, and it HAS to be like that, because moderating a server is fun (I was a helper on one server before and I enjoyed it)! An almost perfect puzzle platformer with a lot going on and a lot of post game content. Honestly, it is hard to recommend this game to people who are fans of slow paced platformers, because Blackhole relies on precision and speed, especially if you're going for coffee times. The idea is great and the level select worlds are fun to explore. Blackhole uses both levels and "open world" exploration, which is really nice! Just admit it, you don't see a game where you interact with a level select hub further than choosing a level nowadays. With over 70 levels, the game is going to keep you busy for many hours of platforming fun, and if you are going for the shiny 100%, you have a lot to do. The only reason this game does not get 10/10, but gets a 9/10 is because of dog tags. Those are optional collectibles, but necessary for 100% completion. They are always clearly visible, but require a lot of trial and error path finding. Any collectibles that will force you to look them up on YouTube are bad collectibles. I understand that they were made to make the player think about how to reach them, as it is a hardcore puzzle game, but they are still not good collectibles.

You now monitor 11 killers instead of 4, but pretty much that's it. The jumpscares give a good jump sometimes, but usually, they don't. You have to check the cameras, shine your flashlight into the hallway from time to time and if any of the animatronics is approaching the office through the ventilation or has entered your office already, you have to put on your Freddy Fazbear mask in order to fool them, making them leave you alone, until they come back or the clock hits 6 AM. Sounds nice. Well, it is, but... ...for the cameras, cool, except for the fact, that you only have to check the Prize Counter to win, making them almost pointless. Let me give you a small list of things that you are going to have to do to 100% win the game. So, let's begin: 1. As the game starts, flip your camera up and wind up the music box to prevent the Marionette from leaving. 2. Keep winding it up until you hear ventilation sounds or a "scary" sounding ambient sound. Then flip your camera down, use your flashlight to check the hallway. If you heard the ambient sound, it means that Foxy is in the hallway. Press the flashlight button for a split second to keep him at bay. Then, check the ventilation lights to check if anyone has arrived. If there's someone in the ventilation, put on your Freddy mask and wait for them to leave. If there is no threat at the moment, flip your camera up and wind up the box again. 3. Repeat. Trust me, it's harder than it sounds even though your to-do list is quite empty. But I almost forgot to mention that even though my guide states 100%, your winning chances are not full 100%. Let me introduce you to your biggest enemy that you battle against through the whole thing: RNG. The Killers may be unpredictable, but sometimes, the RNG makes them enter your office faster than you can wind up the music box, making it impossible to win sometimes, because the Marionette gets you. The difficulty of Five Nights at Freddy's 2 is very punishing, but it is a good game. And although it is not as enjoyable as the original Five Nights at Freddy's is, it has, unlike the first game, some replayability, thanks to optional challenges unlocked upon completing the sixth night, and it also features secret minigames that sometimes appear upon death. The game still feels rushed (and it very likely is, considering the fact that it was released only 3 months after the first game), but it has new content and features some post game content. Cool while playing on docked Nintendo Switch at night though!

Fun little game, but it is incredibly RNG based. That sounds like a cool thing, the more unpredictable the robotic killers are, the more naturally terrifying it is, but the RNG makes the game sometimes impossible to win. Sometimes, the killers stand behind the door for a long time, draining energy required to pass the night alive. Cameras are cool, but you only have to check two cameras to beat the game without any problem - Pirate Cove (Foxy) and the camera Freddy is on. You don't have to check for Bonnie, as he's going to be the most frequent visitor at your door and Chica, although less common, gives lots of sound cues that indicate where exactly she is. And they both produce audible footstep sounds when moving close to your office.

Super Mario 3D World is very enjoyable, I had a lot of fun playing through this game. Levels are really fun to run and jump around in and look awesome, most of them contain new elements and enemies the previous levels don't have, keeping things going and interesting. Collectibles are not hard to find and collect and are fun to search for. It's a shame that after beating the 8th world, the extra levels following up are pretty much nothing. They are only about the difficulty that quickly rises from that point onward. 9/10 Bowser's fury is a very fun game for Nintendo Switch newcomers and it contains two things at once: level structured islands and open world exploration. Once you finish a level (an island), new cat shines become available on it. Bowser's constant attacks are cool, BUT... the console itself has problems with running the game on 60 FPS. His fury blast makes the game run on like 30 FPS. It features lots of adorable kittens and good old friend Plessie and 100 cat shines to collect. The ending for 100% completion is very disappointing, though. 8/10 My verdict: a great experience, that everyone with a Nintendo Switch must play. Contains two great games with a lot going on. Bowser's Fury requires a lot of fixing.
