With the exception of some glitches,it is undoubtedly one of the greatest movies ever **** it's flowering message of Hope makes it slightly better movie than Citizen Kane and The Godfather...Camera techniques were not as good as those of above two mentioned films though.Family backgrounds of warden,captain and Red himself were not **** no rain scene in 20 years except at the moment of freedom of **** warden and captain promotion or transfer in 20 **** caught even at a single night in 20 years while secretly working at night with **** still bcz of its message of Hope it is at 8.9 in my **** clearly not a perfect 9 movie in my books...

Almost perfect movie but with limited canvas as compared to Citizen Kane and Shawshank Redemption...A masterpiece in terms of camera techniques and story telling like Citizen **** roots of enmity between Carleone and other families were also not deeply **** the director'character whose horse was killed was just unnecessary and irrelevant.This character should have been replaced with some drug Lord character. The dull and dumb character of Godmother and less focus on Fredo's activities is also an unbalancing act of director.Focus on family,underworld,morality and character makes it a masterpiece but with due respect,it's not a 9 rating movie in my opinion...8.7

Too broad **** only reason for it's greatness as well as **** did show almost every aspect of human life but at the cost of short cuts and incomplete introduction and conclusion of many major characters of movie except **** also showed some excellent camera techniques. A masterpiece in its own sense and in its own way but not a 9 rating movie...8.8
