Shogotsu

This game tries to fuse together something old and something new and the mix works great. This game also includes one of the best soundtracks of all time. There is some small glitches but nothing major and I know some people get turned off because Jack Blacks voice acting but I think it fits here perfectly. The humor in this game works and feels not forced at all and the characters are really well written. In some places this game is really underrated for some reason, it's not perfect but misses only nearly. If you like metal this is a game for you.

This game is truly not for everybody but it is for me. I find this game to be funny and addictive, what more can I want? The game can be challenging but not frustratingly so, at least that's the way I feel about it. Graphics are not important on this type of game so they will do as they are, there is no need for the next gen 3D on this one, 2D works just fine here. There are some good new ideas that get time to get used to but in the end they work really good on this game. I really can't seem to find anything to complain about so that makes me give it 10/10.

I like the idea of this game but some of the design choices leave a bad aftertaste. I remember playing the original Red Faction and compared to that this game ****. The atmosphere isn't there, the AI is buggy, the way-points are static not dynamic, mini map is horrible and shows some unrelated info. The only really good weapon is marauder shotgun, others lack of damage and do nothing in fight, enemies eat lead like it was popcorn and cars do not take nearly enough damage from tanks and explosions. Some buildings are too weak like they would have been made from paper and glue. In the other extreme cases some buildings stay up even without any walls. Sometimes you can die by walking to invisible wall and that invisible wall falls on to you or sends you flying through the air with while you do a barrel roll. I once shot an enemy and watched him do four back flip in the air. Really, is this physics or magic? I was using a normal assault rifle. You can fail missions without any reason, for example the game informs "do not leave the mission area" fine I get that, except I am still standing in the middle of mission area. All the missions are basically the same so this game is extremely boring and repetitive. I hate to give it such a low score because I would like to play a good Red Faction game for a change but this is not it. Be aware this game feels and handles like a poor port on PC and I feel very bad and betrayed even when I paid only 0.90€ for it. It's no wonder that the original publisher went bankrupt. What a horrible piece of garbage this is, even the cut scenes do not feel like they belong to this game. There was some serious potential in this and somebody somewhere didn't care enough to make things work. Trust me when I tell you that there are some better and more complete indie games out there worth more of your money than this.

I bought this game from Steam when it was on sale and I really like it actually, kept me entertained quite a while. The scoring system works and keeps you trying to best the previous score and keeps you involved. There was only one level that I got little frustrated with but all in all not a big minus. This game is however very small but does not lack replay value so it works as a big plus here. I haven’t played this on any other platform than PC so keep that in mind. I think this is one of those games that I will play again and again whenever I have time to spare.

This game is greatly underrated for a reason or another, while I do admit that the graphics are rather bad compared to some other games out there but really you do have to understand that this game is sold cheaply on Steam so you shouldn’t expect the graphics and functionality to be on the same level as Witcher or Final Fantasy. Also you have to keep in mind that this game is meant to be parody of RPG and JRPG genre which it does quite well and even if there is few bugs it was playable and funny. There were few dull moments sure, but what game doesn't have? After playing it a while I did find myself to be hooked and had to complete the story, so can bad game really hook you? I think not, because I have played some much worse than this and I did not get hooked.

I'm not going to lie about anything; I really wanted to play this because I find sniper games to be fun and rewarding. After playing this for a while I must say that besides the first map in single player campaign the game is rubbish and feels like it's in early alpha stage. The problem is that there are few levels after another that you do not even get to use sniper in sniper game, you are forced to use USAS or AK47 and they do not do any damage not even if you manage to get a perfect headshot. I recommend using the pistol instead because it is one hit one kill weapon. There are lots of bugs and enemies tend to shoot at you behind walls even if there is no way they should see you but if you crouch in bushes they can just walk over you and not notice you at all. The mechanics behind this game are broken. This title should have been cancelled or given even some polishing because single player is partly unplayable. Shame really... the idea of the game was good.

I got the game for free so I did not lose any money for this garbage. The game looks like pre-alpha state and has so many bugs that it is almost unplayable. If you paid for it I truly feel for you, and if you are one of those who are thinking of buying this, please keep your money it is not worth it. The idea itself is good, but the way they made it happen isn't.
