Dead Island 28

Awesome sequel to a very good game. Same feelings when playing Dead Island 1 for the first time. IF you wanna feel like in an 80s Zombie splatter movie in beautiful and wasted L.A.... come get some. Multiple characters, great atmosphere, a great world and an awesome soundtrack, make this game literally... 100% kick ass!!!!!! Minor complaint, after playing a long time.. the battle system gets a bit repetitive.

What a dull, boring game. Same as its predecessors. Graphics are great sure, but this is actually the only aspect of the game that is... and well for a huge company like Enix, they have enough Manpower, so that's not a big deal. Voice acting at least in german is very bad... how can this happen in a AAA title?? Story is common stuff but if the game would be good like the original Tr on PS i wouldn't care for the story in a third person game. And what a dump.. dull... flat main protagonist Lara became... Sorry, this game feels like mix of a walking simulator with some quicktime events and a bit of minimalistic survival shooting. But nothing done right. Please if there's any chance of reviving an Indy game... don't make it like this.

What a horrible release.... Performance is a mess. Graphics don't look good at all. Game is buggy.... I could go on but i keep it short. ATM Icarus is not even in Beta state... it's at least Alpha. The game itself may have potential but in it's current form, not playable. I will wait some months and update my review if the game becomes better.

Lorelai8

Very nice game. Like all Harvester Games, very distopic, very gritty, very dark.... Hope to see more. Game tells the story of Lorelai, a girl with some heavy family issues that makes (or not) a deal with the devil to alter events of the past / present. Very beautiful distopic art like in other Harvester games is displayed all around. Lorelai's journey leads throughout reality and unreality, sanity and insanity. Also you should play The Cat Lady and Fallout (Redux) which are predecessors. It's all the same universe. Highly recommendation from me!!!

Great game, even better than the first one. Charming graphics, funny characters and dialoges along with a suitable soundtrack make this game to a relaxing and enjoybale fantasy trip which makes references to other fantasy genres and even real world scnearios.

Starts of great but gets lost pretty quick. Battelsystem is this realtime with pause key, which i find pretty ugly. Even worse, most of the harder battles are very undeterministic and forces to lots of quicksave/load with totally different results. Well anyways the story is not that bad at all, you can see into other peoples souls which is funny at first but then you realize that it has no impact on whatsoever... so it becomes unnecessary pretty quick. The end is good again but during the game the storyline just idles... The Characters you meet and can group up with are most of the time very good designed but are too few to really select between. So all in all the game is a newer version of Baldurs Gate which is not bad at all but far form being a great RPG.

Sid Meier's Civilization: Beyond Earth9

Wow i cant understand the many dislikes... sure it is no Alpha Centauri but first of all it's personal taste and second Alpha Centauri looks ugly. I don't compare this game to AC at all, i for myself started to become addicted aftr the very first round. The gaphics and soundscapes are beautiful. Trade routes, quests, outposts, aliens, make this game really exciting, the military battles are good thinked through but can be a bit annoying. The worms at the beginning have a very bad AI, and are very map dependent. But it happened only once that 3 worms attacked all cities of only me not the other player and the game was pretty much over for me then. Also the interface when leaving a city screen could be a bit faster, the "x" at the bottom is annoying. Also the tutorial is a bit sluggish und there's no campaign... But well these are just needles in the haystack. The game is great overall and you can spend lots of time with it. For me it's the best civilization at all, since i really enjoy the new setting on those planets and the graphics are so much more beautiful compared to it's predecessors.

Game can be fun even if its really messed up and unfinished. Seriously, there are way to much things that keep bugging me everytime i play it. Starting right of with this terrible introsequence that keeps playing every ** time alongside with this bs talk that no one want to listen too... Ok i need to calm down, after about 5-10 minutes of buggering, you can get a funny shooting, not much depth but still funny. But you have to be lucky that the players are not *** noobs, else the round will end way to quick. Still even if they would fix all the buggering things the price is far to high. For this price every buyer has the right to demand a real game not a small PvP gimmick.

This game brings together, a great fantasy world with a sad but beautiful art along with kinda interesting characters, an active intelligent battle system and on top of that, all dialogs are spoken as poems or rhymes. There's not much to say left except that the graphics and the music are strong and this game is great for anyone who enjoys RPG like games. Update: One thing bothers me... there's only party with 2 people at once, this hurts much. Very sad that it has to be this way. Also the game progress turns out a bit too unexciting and linear in therms of character evolving and story telling. Another game which is very similar (imo also much better) but a bit more action oriented is called Aquaria which i also recommend highly. All in all, great game, great work.

Grey Goo6
Feb 15, 2015
It is good to see another game in the RTS genre. And Grey Goo is not bad at all. It has the feeling of a Command and Conquer. But somehow it lacks on micro possibilites which makes it kinda boring to play. Also i find most units and skirmishes very boring which is the biggest issue of the game. I miss those "cool" units that makes SC or RA such great games. The graphics are acceptable and the music is good. The Unit samples are not that dull, they are also good, Well i would not prefer it over SC2 nor RA3, still it is bad and i hope to see some improvements in the future.

The game is good, but it could've been better if they had skipped those dull inventory limitations... and other things that keep forcing the player to just walk ten times the same path back and forward again, even worse, one way ticket doors... oh my... Well the game itself is not scary... never was but it has the same mystic atmosphere like 20 years ago and exploring the mansion is exciting which is the games strength. I tend to give a very good score even i really despise some old mechanics which they had copied 1:1 from the original instead of improving them. I hope they do also RE2 like this with some improvements.

Terrible game. The graphics dont look that good, the characters look very bad animated but the important part is, that they are super boring like the complete storyline. I wonder how this game could get highly rated by critic reviews, must be some bribe **** as usual when EA or Blizzard release a game. Mass Effect 3 had already lead the road to ruin. DAI followed this road. I can't suggest this game to anyone. Sorry.

Game is quiete fun, but the duration of a round could be improved. A standart round ends to quick. Maybe in more profesional play the sharks survive longer and the divers need to work together like a team with a role for everyone (damage dealer, disabler something). t's very good that the shark is not alone and btw a very cool character to play, and i hope they improve the game up to more sharks / divers per scenario. One of the major weaknesses in the similar game evolve which i only played an alpha, is the fact that every mod is the same 1vs4 and this got me bored very quick. So i hope the ame will improve further because the setting is really interesting. I

The game itself is ok... it is GK after all. But somehow i miss the magic in the remake which the original inherited. The graphics tbh.. i think they could been better, the backscenes often look very stale and lifeless. Same goes to the characters, they look like moving puppets. The music is good overall, Robert Holmes still has it. The voice acting... well it's not bad i know some of the actors but most voices do not fit to the person and even if they put effort in it trying to sound like the originals, they just don't Overall it is a nice game but i think they could have done much better for the remake.

Very Interesting and quite challening puzzle platformer. What bothers a bit is the kinda running arouind with no real goal or quests. But still the atmosphere, the puzzles, the design are really great. Really good game overall, better than most puzzle or even physics platformers.
