Wick is sick. Go on, you can take the literal one here. First things first, you don't kill the cutest beagle on the planet, that too a pup, in a movie! We are not yet ready for that! But if you do, which as a matter of fact, ‪Theon Greyjoy‬ did, just make sure it is avenged right. ‪Ramsay Bolton‬ are you listening? Okay, so we already knew the plot thanks to the trailer that spoke louder than ‪Keanu Reeves‬. With thousands of clichéd stories of agents, mercenaries and hit men that are out there, Wick has nothing much to offer. Except one thing - rad action. Headshots, exquisite finishes, gore and Mustang engine revving are sheer orgasmic. But what it lacks big time is a proper storyline. The direction is not that great either. We often see building shots of the city for like 5-7 times that are downright dispensable. Fight sequences were pretty cool though. Who are the directors again? Stuntmen? Okay. That explains it. What can we expect? There is literally no drama present in the movie, and the entire movie carries a background beat that goes boom boom, which makes it an effort to concentrate on the dialogues dispersed. The score is well, trance, basically. It is as if the directors thought - "let's just build up a huge crowd of hooligans and let Keanu shoot them one by one from different angles, nay make him headshot each one of them, and there will be lots of blood spluttering, and let him drive something kewwwwwl too. While we are at it, let us give him a badass name. John Wick! Has a nice ring to it!" Passable stuff. Watch only for the action.

Derrickson's previous horror ventures like ‪‎Sinister‬ and ‪‎The Exorcism of Emily Rose‬ packed in brilliant creepy factors that signed him off as a new age creative ghost director and all such accolades are justified since Derrick has gone pro behind the camera. Unfortunately in this flick what he endeavours to do is uplift a bland tale of devilry, savagery and diabolism and mashes it up with gore, dark and a lot of cop activity. Thanks to ‪Eric Bana‬ who works really hard to make the true story script appear top-notch otherwise there is nothing that makes you skip a beat in the entire movie at all. True after watching the likes of scared **** horror flicks like ‪The Conjuring and other mind boggling semi scary movies like ‪Insidious‬ franchise we have inadvertently created a mindset that demands **** scary stuff from Hollywood, and anything less than that makes us go meh! Deliver Us from Evil however burns down to downright pathetic in terms of the eerie quotient! Keep your hopes extremely low and you might as well place it somewhere amongst the likes of ‪‎The Rite‬ and other such exorcism entailed horror genre flicks that made ample noise but faded away almost abruptly due to jaded content.

Told by a beautiful dark direction of the newbie ‎Gary Shore‬, Stoker's tale has found a perfect variant. ‎Luke‬ is ravishing in the drac shoes and the tale is brilliantly scripted. There are subtle glimpses that Shore uses like depicting rad scenes of war through the dead eyes of a Turk that makes things different. Although the action bit isn't that great and put out quickly, the story still keeps you rooted. Some clichéd pieces pop up here and there, but its our own favourite fictional protag Drac, what do you expect? The score is apt. It makes you feel the vampire wrath. Screenplay is good. When we contain the awesomeness of Luke's gripping facial gravity, make it dark, combine it with some twists and turns of the legendary Bram Stoker's tale, add some ‪Cooper‬ to it, throw in some ‪Charles Dance‬ grim screenplay voice then lo! we get a good decent movie that has the potential to run a fine franchise on its own. Can't wait for the sequel now!

Dan Gilroy's debut flick is everything what it needs to be – a perfect reflection of his superb writing. His direction is subtle. Editing is just brilliant. The plot flows in a perfect rhythm through the head of a messed up guy Louis Bloom, who takes you on a high speed ride behind an exquisite red muscle to shoot stories up close. Jake Gyllenhaal is hands down one of the finest actors in Hollywood. The heights he scales and the lengths he drives deserve a big fat ovation. A psychopath on the loose, Jake is something more than that, a perfectionist who does things that he is good at. A deft thief whose keen eyes fall on crime journalism. He crosses all human confinements and legal barriers to get stories that are still hatching. Every crime scene is his puppet. He beats even the police to it. An equally good performance by co-stars Rene Russo and Riz Ahmed who end up being manipulated by the devilry of the badass diligent Nightcrawler. Sitting on the hood of the car listening to every word that the static says, learning everything about police radio codes, manifest how dedicated the protagonist is to his work. In his words: "I am a quick learner." There are shots that Jake perfects without dropping his calm demeanor, unhindered and incessant speeches that make you want to clap for his effort. The screenplay brings magic through his lips. The time he breaks the mirror screaming with frustration shows the perfection he has achieved in his acting. A great actor, with the variegation he has scoured, makes him one of a kind. I place him amongst the greats. Bravo!

Marvel‬ has simply blown us away! Behold the era wherein Marvel can't do anything wrong. It even **** gold now! True story! ‪Gunn‬'s a super-rad director planted in the perfect shoes by Marvel and boy does he deliver! By far the boldest move, the finest venture in the comic-turned-into-a-movie department and the decision to bring Gunn to the front page couldn't have been more perfect! ‪ DarkAster‬: The superb depiction of the badass floating frigging gigantic warship would make you forget any spaceship stereotype you ever had! Things are getting artistic! ‪ Thanos‬: All hail the mighty Thanos! Bow down to the soon-to-be-God master of villainy! Though he braces us with a cameo we still get the picture of the Assembling of the Infinity Stones and an even bigger picture of the oncoming war and the impending chaos! ‪ Pratt‬ is adorable with his wits and awesome humor doing justice to "Star-Lord" while ‪Rooker‬ breathes life into ‪Yondu‬, with his accent and flair he makes the Ravager fun to watch and he is extremely lethal yet badass with the arrow! Watch out for that bit! ‪ Del Toro‬ permeates Collector with pizazz yet again, whilst ‪Lee Pace‬ strives to make ‪Ronan‬ a grim intimidating character however Marvel still ends up making him another passable villain that might disappear as a hungry-for-desolation and power lout. We might cherish him as the Kree-ian who dared defy Thanos though! ‎Rocket‬: Words fail to describe this guardian. He's the life of the group and a true hero just with a filthy mouth. His pairing with ‪ Groot‬ is kickass! whilst Groot's our ‪Hodor‬ in disguise! He is packed with surprises! Not that Vin Diesel had much to say anything about it (you see what I did there?) ‎Gamora‬ the unfortunate adoption was good with the team. ‎Saldana‬ plays it fine. Bautista‬ is brilliant as the dumb ‪Drax‬ who's bent on revenge and getting his ass kicked and Stan‬! Go get a room man! If you can't somehow watch this movie, just stop existing! :P

A clichéd tale wrapped up in an orgasmic screenplay! We have three parallel stories running through the movie. Marv has nothing much to do, so he basically pans out as an assist manifesting eye-popping, head-bursting, head-rolling, rule-breaking action, icing it with numerous gore bits(basically being himself). Dwight has visceral written all over him and the screenplay he grinds 'neath his teeth is sheer music to the ears. Ava surges in blue as the voluptuous dame who writes chaos into the lives of her lovers. One of the finest tales in the flick is that of Johnny, the guy who just cannot lose, played to perfection by the RegularJoe and boy can he act! Hartigan has been brilliantly placed at the right moments, his ghostly presence in the flick has been beautifully portrayed as he tries to justify his love contrasting Nancy's agonizing words. Roark is a sheer depiction of power once again as he eases through his villainous character drenched in perversion. Always an honor to watch Frank Miller's art paint beauty on the big screen. Rodriguez keeps reminding you how subtle his style of direction is albeit sometimes you see loopholes whilst he drives you to a screen almost abruptly without giving a frame some rest. You can throw that over to editing as well. Overlooking that, the score is apt, the tale is passable for just another story of vengeance for a wrongdoing. Apart from the awesomeness of Levitt, Green and Brolin, it doesn't have much to offer!
