The game is good, yet somewhat easy for me. The visuals are okay for my liking and contains amazing music. The gameplay is very similar to Sonic Rush (also I don't recommend playing this game before Sonic Rush) with the return of the boost and high speed running aspects. This game does utilize the Wisps very well, but sadly there aren't as many as the Wii version. The bosses are pretty good. Not broken, but not incredible. You do also follow some patterns involving the Wisps during the boss battles which is nice. The major con of this game has to be the difficulty. It's very easy. I only finished this game in a few hours and I could rack up too many lives (max x99)! I'm not saying it's SUPER easy though. It's got it's difficulty at times and I think that newcomers to the Sonic franchise will really enjoy this title! Now I recommend this to both hardcore Sonic fans and casual/newbies, as it's entertaining gameplay (the ease will most likely engross new players) gives a big farewell to the Nintendo DS! Sonic Colours(DS)=8/10

This game is limited compared to the 360 and PS3 versions, as the Wii and PS2 aren't capable of displaying HD resolution quality, beautiful colours and possessing great power, but the night stages have an exclusive plus and it's that the Wii remote and Nun-chuck are used in a way that can immerse the player a little, because when you are attacking, you swing the nun-chuck, as if you are boxing. The controls on the other hand for the day stages are a slightly more of a kerfuffle, as it doesn't feel natural in a gaming environment or natural in general.

With gameplay that mixes well with the story and beautiful gameplay, Sonic 3 (the full version) is the best Sonic game of all time (saying it's the best Sonic game is pretty subjective)! You have good visuals and music, expansive and fast level design and a simple, yet compelling plot! If you think the first Sonic game holds up surprisingly well, get a load of this (Putting in a funny SA1 quote may not work well with a classic game)!

I just really find this a not really good game. Not on the lines of Sonic 06, but it's level design is so lacking. Due to the limitations of the Sega MegaDrive/Genesis restricting the features of Sonic 3D Blast to a barren pseudo 3D Iso platformer. It does have very enjoyable music, I'll give it that, but getting past the despicable 3D controls consisting of a few keys for directional input (I don't think any level design was built in mind with it), and three buttons. Now talking about the level design will have you know that Sonic couldn't even go fast so basically the "Sonic" title is only pertaining to the character and not the gameplay. There are instead puzzle gimmicks that just do not mix well with the isometric view. This was a huge mistake by Sega. If Sega aimed to put this game on the Saturn and I don't mean just slightly updating the visuals and changing the music, I mean literally using the Saturn's superior power to the MegaDrive to render fully 3D models, construct good level design, then this game could've hit the marks (IMO I'm not really criticising here).

This is my review for the PC version, but the MegaDrive one is almost identical to it, so I've just copied and pasted and edited it a little. I just really find this a not really good game. Not on the lines of Sonic 06, but it's level design is so lacking. Due to the limitations of the Sega MegaDrive/Genesis restricting the features of Sonic 3D Blast to a barren pseudo 3D Iso platformer. It does have very enjoyable music, I'll give it that, but getting past the despicable 3D controls consisting of a D-Pad (I don't think any level design was built in mind with it), and three buttons. Now talking about the level design will have you know that Sonic couldn't even go fast so basically the "Sonic" title is only pertaining to the character and not the gameplay. There are instead puzzle gimmicks that just do not mix well with the isometric view. This was a huge mistake by Sega. 8/10. I must say, quite a good Run & Gun game. Good pre rendered graphics (for 16-bit standards), great techno music and good gameplay. Vectorman is pretty exploration based which is sure to appeal to many platformer fans. Occasionally, you will play top down stages which seem pretty divisive, because they instruct you to perform tasks that seem a bit confusing. The major downside of this game is the lackluster set of bosses. Some are broken and some others are really basic. Overall, this game should be an amazing experience for diehard Mega Drive fans and platformer fans.

Absolutely restrictive game! This won't allow me to play the rest of the levels unless I pay and I only got to play 3! However, it has some great stuff that is worth checking out (although not much levels to play for free).

A very good game with visuals that will mistake it for a 32X game and music that makes it very ironic considering it was on the Mega Drive. The gameplay is wonderful and fun, but the collectable items seem to hold nothing in this game. The inclusion of a save feature (which the original did not have) makes it easier compared to in 1995.

Quite a good game, but I recommend playing this first before playing the DS version of Sonic Colours. Sounds, looks and plays wonderfully! One thing a get annoyed with though is when you get a game over, you go back to the title screen. Games in the older days had this, but this game kind of does it in an inappropriate way.

Very fun and enjoyable and Sonic works really well for an endless runner, but there are two major cons this game possesses which are high priced characters, well I say high priced because a currency for buying characters called Red Star Rings can be really rare when playing and this doesn't really stand out well compared to other games of the same genre, so you may be familiar with some commonly used assets that seem quite dull now.

Unlike Sonic and the Secret Rings, this game actually gives you the will to move around! The controls are good and a good upgrade since Secret Rings. The gameplay is quite interesting well not as a Sonic game, but rather a standard sword game. Story? It's quite good in my opinion and more memorable than Secret Rings, but actually, scratch that, because this game is MUCH more memorable than Secret Rings. The music is majestic! It really reflects with the environment, but sort of... mixes with Sonic... Overall, it's mediocre, because the gameplay and story can satisfy your gaming needs, but cannot hook you in, but the music still is good like any Sonic game.

When I play a video game, it should be fun and stress reducing. NOT IRRITATING AND BORING!!!!! This game is not that terrible like Sonic 06, but still is annoying! NOTHING IS MEMORABLE ABOUT THIS GAME!!!! But some exceptions maybe... well... THE TIMES OF WHEN YOU THROW YOUR WII REMOTE AT THE GROUND!!! "But why must it increase your temptations for punching your Wii console?" - You may ask. Why? BECAUSE THE CONTROLS ARE ABSOLUTE RUBBISH!!!! Sega wanted to make a new Sonic title for the Wii with good motion controls, but how did they screw up there? Well neglecting the Nunchuk of course!

My review may not be accurate, but as well as looking at mine, you should view other people's perspectives of the game. The gadgets you can make in Tails' Lab was redundant, as I hardly needed any aid. The levels don't engross you that much and aren't very memorable excluding a few of the 2D stages. The bosses are pretty good. The story was okay. The music is very good, just like it's predecessors'. The visuals are sometimes too colourful and can irritate me. Overall, I think this is very mediocre and I think that Sega should've done better instead of making this mediocre.
