It's just kind of boring and generic. The music is all reused and the game just doesn't feel right. It's hard to describe, the game just feels off compared to the others.
So painfully boring. The levels are basically 20 second straight lines where you do basically nothing but hold boost. The story is a cool concept but has really poor execution.
A fantastic game with fun gameplay and a good story. My only issues are that the controls have aged poorly and some of the bosses aren't very well designed. Probably the best PS1 game I've ever played.
This game is a great return to 2D Mario with a more interesting art style. I'm mostly docking points for some of the side levels, especially search party. Those levels are awful. My only other complaints is that the world feels weirdly... disconnected. I don't know, the levels in each world didn't feel like they fit together.
People hate this game because it's popular and they are bad at it. It's a fun game, and I'm not going to pretend it's not. I'm not even very good at it.

I'm mostly docking a point for the airboat section. It was my least favorite part and felt like it lasted forever. Other than that, the game is a masterpiece, and is still more technically impressive than many games today.
I know people love this game, but sorry, this doesn't do it for me. I appreciate what they were going for, but the controls have aged poorly (which shouldn't be a problem for a remake) and the game is just kind of boring. The Collosi aren't even fun to fight, which is the only interesting part of the game, whereas the open world is empty and a waste of time. I'm sure some people will say that the emptyness and lonelyness is part of the art here, but it just isn't enough to keep me invested.
My only complaint is that this game is far too long. I've got nothing against long games, but near 100 hours is too much in my opinion. If it was a bit shorter I would probably give it a 10, but it started to drag towards the end.
This is a very good game, but this game is a bit overrated. At the time, of course, this game was revolutionary, but I didn't play this at the time, so I'm not reviewing it like I did. Looking at it compared to games now, however, it's still a very solid and fun game. The greatest game of all time, though? I would have to disagree.
Arms is a strange but fun multiplayer game that I played a lot when it came out. If you are looking for a fun game to play with a friend, this is a great choice.
I liked the story, but if you don't, you aren't going to like this game, considering that the only other gameplay is light platforming and short minigames. There is Demontower, though, which is just about the only replayability that the game has, sadly, unless you have forgotten the story. Also, if you plan on playing the songs you collect and getting perfect on them, you should do that before you finish the epilogue, because after that it deletes your save. Overall, I would give it a 8.5/10.
