The efforts for modern concept of the legend came out of the way. Sonic Forces has obvious problems with the transition between two perspectives as well with the movement and speed. Only customization possibilities and several new weapons saves it from the average.

As the latest generation of the Sonic series, Sonic Forces retains the high-speed game experience. To comply with the trend of the times, Sonic Forces reduces the difficulty, hoping to use this strategy will attract new players who have never tried this kind of game. Unfortunately, the length is not sufficient enough to satisfy players, and too much repetitive content makes this game boring.

Majority say this is the worst Sonic game of all time. That this is Sonic at his worst. Yeah I don't believe that. I think this game is just mid. I love how the levels look in the game. I enjoyed having to create my own avatar. They did a great job with many different species. Though I do wish they would add in species of what animals the other Sonic characters are. Infinite looks so damn cool. Voice acting is decent enough. Story is... eh? Fist Bump is incredible. Let's start off by addressing Sonic "dying." I mean I know he wasn't gonna actually die. But I don't get what's the point of showing them knocking out Sonic and making him seem like he's dead... Just to have two cutscenes later of "NAH WE'RE JUST **** WITH YA! SONIC IS ALIVE!" They could've have the reveal shown later on and have the game get longer. The stages felt either too short, too easy, or honestly both. Most of the stages I basically say, "Wait that's it? They weren't this short when I was younger." Tails is basically useless here. I'm sorry but he was fine with taking on Chaos 4 but acted scared with Chaos freaking 0.... Nostalgia is used bad here. The concept of using villains from different Sonic games for this game is a great idea! But the execution is where it's a problem. The boss fights honestly are garbage. They felt way too easy and not all that interesting. No Chaos boss fight? No Fake Shadow Boss? Classic Sonic music for the stages is just... bad. Why is Knuckles even commander when he just got so many of the soldiers taken out? The customization for the Avatar didn't feel satisfying at all. Don't even get me started on Infinite... I like what they did design wise, but they wasted him completely and didn't do anything interesting with him. I mean... he became a villain just because Shadow called him weak... They could've at least done something with this instead of making him weak as hell. Honestly, this game feels so damn rushed. The writing is badly written. Nostalgia baiting the fans isn't fun at all. I feel like they should've delayed this game more just to rework it better. It's just decent as of my opinion. I feel like this game gets too much hate. And I mean more hate than 06 and Boom Rise of Lyric. Not even the worst Sonic game, but my god is it not the best.

Definitely not a good game but also not a bad game. The story is bland and the characterization is horrible, but the gameplay in most stages, is good (other than the bosses those are very bad).

I Loved it back then but now I think it could be better but I'm being Generous Trust me if I was mad then I'd give this Game like 2 or 3.

2017 is the year the Sonic franchise stops running from itself. Sonic Mania and Sonic Forces celebrate different eras, but they both take the same shameless “all-in” approach. Sonic Forces is a confident game, serving up a story and stages that go for broke while dodging the pitfalls of the past. As long as you’re not a hardline 3D Sonic hater, this earnest, entertaining adventure is worth a spin.

Sonic Forces is passionate, strong and fast... very fast. However, it has notorious design problems we have seen in previous Sonic games. That said, the game is visually charming, musically vibrant and brings real hope to fans for seeing the revival of Sonic in the future.

Unfortunately, all of its mechanics are shallow and mixed up... If you love the franchise, go back to playing Sonic Mania.

Sadly, Sonic Forces struggles with the same issues that have plagued 3D Sonic games since Sonic Adventure – portraying an accurate sense of speed to the character while giving players a choice on how to clear obstacles. While the game includes three stage types – all of them are plagued by their own gameplay issues.

Sonic Forces doesn't ever reach the lowest lows the series has gone through in the past. Yet it also has almost nothing in it that leaves a lasting impression. It's the kind of game you can breeze through in an afternoon and then forget about immediately after. The customization in Forces is appreciated, but it’s nowhere near enough in a game that lacks great ideas.

Whoever this shoddily made platformer is meant to please it won’t be those that like Sonic Mania, or any of the better 3D Sonic games.

This is Sonic Generations but worst in every aspect possible, the gameplay is hilariously bad , the story is inconsistent, but the ost is kinda banger , but at end , it's the worst Sonic game ever made in my opinion even worst than 06 .

Eh sure this game has good music and visuals and some stages are fun to speedrun but most levels have bad level design, Tedious to fully playthrough The story is alright but usually sonic games have incredible stories so it makes this game seem not special its been very trendy as of late to hate on this game but its just kinda bad but not VERY bad as people say
