What can I say? It's the same game, with better graphics. Though they seemed to get rid of some of the physics, like shooting around barrels. Xbox360 version runs consistently smooth, no spikes in FPS and rubberbanding.

This game is super fun. I've been playing it for a year now. It has an online mode where you can play with friends, and each character has their own special moveset/abilities. There's tons of weapons to make a custom character with, though the clothing options are a bit limited.

More of a tech demo than an actual game. Game is short with no soul put into it. No stat distribution. Similar classes are nearly identical without many options to make you different than other players. Only 4 players can play in a game, and maps have checkpoints are are linear. The classes also lack polish. The witch doctor is a shell of what the necromancer used to be, and the monk is a poor replacement of the paladin. This is what happens when creativity is lost in making computer games. The whole game feels like it was made by an artist who was forced to paint something he didn't want to. This game is a waste of money, go play diablo 2.

This game is a prime example of why the video game industry is dying--not by sales, but by soul. Release day DLC is an insult to consumers and this is exactly what this game has done. 60 Dollars isn't enough, they want more of your money upfront for the "full" experience, but we all know they will release DLC after DLC to try and milk as much money as possible from you. Just play Mass Effect 1 and leave it at that.

Not sure what was harder, the bosses or the camera. You have to dance with your fingers to get the angles perfectly or you go falling 50 feet. All you do is fight about a dozen huge monsters, then the game ends. Woopdy doo. Feels more like the world's slowest boss rush mode. V

The most epic RPG experience ever. I was young and didn't understand D&D rules, but I learned as I played. There's so much story in this game, it's like a 7 layer cake. The graphics are STUNNING. This is the power of pre-rendered graphics, there's no limit to poly count, though they must remain somewhat stationary. If this game was realtime 3D it would look like beetle dung. The first western RPG I've played, and it's still the best. Mass Effect, Dragon Age, etc, are all crap compared to Baldur's Gate 2.

Fun game! It was released on PS1 as well. An HD remake would be welcome. There's different themes to play on, but each one has a catch. The ice one with penguins sometimes cracks in the middle and one player's side raises, while the other player has to keep dribbling their ball until the side lowers again. Another one is in the forest, and rolling legs speed up or slow down your ball depending on what side you're on. There's also various power ups.

It's like watching a boring British soap opera. 3 hours it took me to get out of the tutorial area. Some characters never shut up , and there's no way to skip scenes. The graphics are muddy, and you'll strain your eyes trying to see in poorly lit areas, no matter the brightness setting on your T.V. I expected more from a Kain series game.

Very fun and magical. I can't give it a perfect score though. The new way you level up is akin to monster hunter, you have to upgrade your equipment to really get an edge. Your level is maxed depending on where you are in the game, so killing random encounters becomes pointless once you get the items you need. However, it's nice to constantly be challenged, than to just bulldoze through bosses. However, you miss the feeling of achievement spending a long time playing the game, since your levels are usually a measure of that. There's some funny lines and lively characters though, but there's so many characters you can play as (and can only choose 2 optional characters at a time) their personalities get lost in the clutter. The game has the same type of beautiful pre-rendered backgrounds as FF7,8, and 9.

Harvest Moon: Animal Parade contains the same errors as past games, some typos and bugs. The multiplayer aspect was so glitched they actually removed it from the North American release of the game. That was just icing on the cake though. The game is fantastic, and brings back memories of playing Harvest Moon 64. Vibrant areas, colorful characters and towns. If you're looking for an actual upgrade, this is the game to get. Some things I like include planting one square of seeds at a time, so you can have your crops in any shape you want, being able to walk through your crops (they kind of just move to the side as you walk through your field) and being able to grow trees! This is the most RPG of the harvest moons. I have spent 11 hours just doing the story events. Very fun. There's lots of walking in the beginning but if you save the animals, they will carry you to various locations. There's so much more to say about this game, just try it!

I thought the battle system was awkward, but this is a pretty solid game. I used to play Final Fantasy XI, and honestly - Final Fantasy XII is what Final Fantasy XI should have been. I can go out and fight whenever I want, without having to seek help for a few hours. It would be fun if Square made an online game where you control a party, not a single character. I think that's where they went wrong in their online games. Could you imagine playing any Final Fantasy, just with a 1 character party? Exactly. Onto the review. The battle system lets you basically program how your characters are to act. The skill grid is great, if you invest enough time into the game each character can obtain all the skills, except for the summons, which are one per character. They let you build your characters however you see fit. If you liked Final Fantasy XI , this is like playing that, except single player, no subscription fees, and straight out more fun. The story left me confused though, I wasn't sure exactly what I was fighting for. Still a solid score, however.

The biggest mistake I ever made was waiting 11 years to play this game. It has everything you could want in an RPG. Mini games, a lengthy story, lots of beautiful cutscenes. The pre-rendered graphics are beautiful and make the game look like an interactive piece of art. The 3D graphics are comparable to Final Fantasy VIII, but the overworld looks terrible. Even the overworld in Final Fantasy VII looked good. This isn't really a problem, since the game doesn't force you to travel long distances in the overworld. I immediately fell in love with the characters. The pacing is excellent, and well into the second disc the game will continually be switching your parties for coinciding stories. It's very fun to see how they connect. I heard this game was easy, but I found it pretty challenging. I guess it's easy only if you spend hours leveling up before story events. One of my favorite things is tetra master in this game. It's a card minigame you can play with many different npcs. Minigames are always a welcome addition to an RPG, as they break the monotony of just killing. 4 discs shows how long this game is. It's great fun.

This is the Puzzle/RPG genre to perfection. It's not slow and boring like Puzzle Quest, where it can take upwards of an hour for one battle. This is more fast-paced, smart, and has a real story, which can take up to 40 hours depending on how you play and if you do all the side questing. That's not all though, you can play online in 1v1 or 2v2 battles.

Sephiroth is an example of one of those game villains who just "don't" die. The earlier villain offering, Kefka, from Final Fantasy VI was manical, psychotic, and succeeded in scorching the earth. When he died, that was it, he died. Playing whack-a-mole with Sephiroth got boring. It's hard to tell he's even the villain. You start the game fighting Shinra corp. You might ask yourself why you have to even fight Sephiroth. I wondered the same thing. Onto the parts I loved. I loved having a nice variety of characters to choose from. I loved the materia system, exploring the world and finding new bosses to kill. The Golden Saucer was awesome, lots of minigames and other things to do. More RPG developers need to learn players love having a mid-game hub to do other tasks rather than advancing the story. It's a shame square hasn't learned from their success though, as newer games in the series usually lack anything with 10% of the depth of the Golden Saucer. Main villain was weak, but it's still a great RPG experience, a far gap between a 9 and 10 though.

Space Channel 5 Part 2 has no online multiplayer, but you won't be lonely with all the people you save serving as your back up dancers. The game looks easy at first, but unless you find the secret commands, and actually execute them, you can't get a perfect score. There's only 6 levels and a bonus mode after you beat them, but you'll find yourself playing them over and over again to try to get a better score, or just enjoy watching the colorful and lively characters move their hips. Definitely reminds me of PaRappa the Rapper, you follow the computer character's commands and time them accordingly, but it's much better than that game.

A mediocre game. At first the experience is a bit new and seems fun, but the game quickly drags on. The original campaign is very short and anti-climatic. The online co-op is a joke, riddled with shameless cheaters and bugs that still exist from release. Instead of fixing the bugs, Gearbox decided it was a better idea to release 4 DLC add-ons. I only paid 10 bucks for the game and all the DLC and I still feel cheated.

Haters gonna hate. This game rocks. This is the Final Fantasy Dissia of the Castlevania franchise. The controls are simple and smart, as long as you're using the Classic Controller. Each move has a counter, and it becomes a game of Rock, Paper, Scissors. Who said that's a bad thing, though? Many gripe about the camera, but it's whatever. I haven't had any problems with the camera. Anyone who has a problem with it needs to get something called hand-eye coordination. The special attacks are cool, not too short, not too long. The voice acting is satisfactory, however mouths move often when nothing is even being said. In addition to the story mode, there's a Dracula's Castle mode, where you explore different rooms, accomplishing different objectives. The pull here is to earn custom equipment to decorate your characters with. Wifi is fine as long as your partner has a good connection. I love this game, for the price I paid for it, it's a steal. Thanks for all the nay-sayers rating this game down, making it cheap.

This game is not only art, but a masterpiece. It's the culmination of 3 decades of video games. It has just enough dialogue and cutscenes to play as a movie, but just enough gameplay to also be a game. I love it. People who say you can die during cutscenes... don't listen to them, you get to choose when you hear dialogue. You should kill all the enemies before you do that. The ending of this game is truly amazing and raises a very important question on morality. The way boss battles play out is similar to God of war. You wittle ttheir health down then do the right combo of buttons to finish them off. Graphics are AMAZING, they really **** you into this world. Play it if you like epic experiences.

This game blows the Call of Duty franchise out of the water! Battlefield keeps to its roots with multiplayer vehicles. The biggest difference is, of course, the multiplayer vehicles, but also the destructive environment. In Bad Company one, you could blow out walls of a building and run over trees. In Bad Company 2, you can destroy entire buildings! You have nowhere to hide, neither does your enemy! It includes a hardcore mode where you lose your minimap and have to rely on your vision alone. It also introduces friendly fire, so you must be careful, like in real life!. Definitely a hardcore game, not for bubblegum FPS players.

This was the DEFINITIVE RPG game during the SNES era, and now it's on the GBA. Everything about the game is the same, aside from a special dungeon you may explore after the game is over for the GBA version. However, the dungeon is rather boring and forces you to use multiple parties of characters in order to travel through it. It doesn't detract from the game experience though, as it is optional. You set off on an epic quest to save the world from a madman set out to destroy anything and everyone on his path to world dominance, one of the greatest villains of all time in any game, in my opinion. It has one of the greatest endings too. Sure, you might defeat him at the end of the game, but who really wins? You have to play yourself to find out! :)

This game is nothing like its predecessors. It's monotonous, and guarantees that you will have to restart the game. If you die, you are given the option to restart the game, which you must to in order to keep getting strong enough to tackle the next obstacle. This is fine, however you are limited on how many times you can save! Your saves are as limited as the amount of save coins. The battle system is interesting. You move your characters around like a SRPG, but it doesn't have much function. You will find yourself running over a lot of traps and just dying.I had no desire to continue this game after getting the game over screen 5 separate times. This game is an insult to the Breath of Fire series. It feels incomplete. Worst RPG game I've played.

This is one of the best RPG games I've played. Without giving away too much, you go around destroying different parts of an evil god. He needs to absorb all of these pieces to become whole again. Where the game really shines is the battle system. Your characters and enemies are constantly moving around, though the game pauses to give you a chance to give commands to your characters. Depending on how far away a character is from an enemy depends on how long it will take to attack them. You can use "critical" attacks to cancel out an enemy's move if timed carefully. You should know this is a Dreamcast port, so the graphics are Dreamcast era. This is one of those games that would have been better by not using 3-D real-time graphics. However, the characters are animated well, doing everything from scooting out of bed to going into an angry pose while speaking. For people that like to read, the characters consistently have outrageous and funny puns to say. An alter ego of one of the characters flirts with the main character, who likes to think of himself as a tough guy, but he eventually softens up. The dialogue reminds me of that written for Disgaea. It would be unfair of me to rate the game lower because of the technical flaws, but it's way TOO noticeable. The graphics clip in and out constantly, there's MASSIVE slowdowns within towns and a few dungeons. Fog and reflection effects double the slowdown. There's even glitches that affect the menus and text sometimes, but they are not deal breakers. Gold coins that appear after defeating enemies turn black half of the time. To be fair, the game never froze once. I give this game a 10 despite its technical flaws, which I feel shouldn't detract from the game. It's definitely worth trying, but pickup the Dreamcast version if you can.
