The two things this has going for it is the fact it's free to play and that it's based on an established IP that's 16 years old, that's it. There's only three characters worth playing because they're not balanced. There's a feature called pulse which basically plays the game for you, and that can be used in both casual and RANKED PLAY removing any skill you were dumb enough to think this game had. Also, when you're playing solo, you can be matched against duos which is fine for unranked but this can also happen in ranked. If you want a skill based fighting game, go play Tekken, Street Fighter or DoA because you will not find it here. This is at best, something casual like Smash bros is supposed to be but without any semblance of skill it takes to do literally anything.

Half of combat in this game requires the use of the characters camera to attack much like Fatal Frame. However, on the PS5, the camera attack DOESN'T WORK PROPERLY! Now, I thought I could power through and make it to the end of the game, that was until Act 3, which is all very heavy camera combat with relentless enemies and so the entire thing falls apart. During act 3, you will be clicking the camera button constantly absolutely nothing happening nearly all of the time. It's completely broken. DO NOT BUY THE GAME ON THIS PLATFORM AFTER 3 YEARS IT'S STILL NOT FIXED!

A good game marred by terrible players. This is incredibly frustrating to play. In my experience, I'm constantly matched with terrible players. I'm not good at the game by any means, I play support because my aiming is terrible but I like to think I do a good job at keeping smarter players alive. Unfortunately, that's rarely the case. Tanks do not protect their team and DPS constantly run far away and die, then blame supports for not going down with them. Nobody ever switches their character until the final few seconds before losing either. I don't understand why, if you're bad at a character or it's just not working, why you'd continue to play that character in a ranked match. It truly makes me want to scratch my eyes out. Do not play this game. It is pretty good but you won't have a good experience here. Maybe play with your friends but some of my friends are worse than playing with randoms so be picky if want a good time

This game is awesome! I absolutely loved it start to finish, I've really never played anything like it before. It's got style, great gameplay, visuals, soundtrack. All top notch stuff. There were some things combat wise that were gonna nock a few points but even those problems ended up becoming a positive once they became a part of my natural flow in combat. It's very creative, and from the get go you can see a lot of love was put into this game :)

The overall experience is fine. A lot of people would say P3 is the best Persona or the greatest JRPG of all time, which is not true at all. It's the worst Persona and far from the greatest JRPG. The story isn't very interesting but it is consistent, you're not curve balled with the "main villain actually working for another villain" type nonsense, like off the top of my head FFIV. The social links serve very little purpose and wouldn't be missed if they weren't in the game at all. Conversations during those social links are also brief and basically are one note, there is one social link I've done that does reference another which was pretty cool. The main meat of the game, Tartarus is absolutely agonizing to get through, 264 floors of the same stuff over and over again. Some enemies and boss fights just aren't fun at all and are very poorly designed and the game is GRIND HEAVY. The game is funny in parts and like every other Persona game, the music absolutely slaps. If you've exhausted your options for JRPGs on Xbox, don't have other platforms and don't want to use an emulator to play older JRPGs, this is the best version of P3 and it is on Gamepass so you might as well check it out. It's not bad, but not very good.
