Was really surprised that this game surpassed my expectations in so many regards. Soundtracks and similar, but enhance the experience further then the original. Characters which we know from FF7 are faithful to the original and have even more interactions between each other. Even side quest characters feel like actual people. Every area looks lively and NPC react to it the way anyone else would (feels genuine). Gameplay is not turn based, but from my aspect that is completely fine since this type always keeps you on your toes when in combat. While this is only part 1 and I expect at least 2 more to come, this one definitely makes you more exciting for the future parts.

Story feels genuine once you get a hang of what world you are in. Game makes you think of almost every action before you do it, whether it's asking what's someones hobby or convincing someone to not end up killing. You start caring for every playable character. Not to mention every choice you make can affect the outcome when it comes to lives of many. Even the main menu is giving you choices! That said, I did feel like visuals could've been better during some moments. Everything else was phenomenal and is even worth to replay for different outcomes.

This review will refrain from anything except for what happened in game. Combat and move aspect is similar to the first game with few changes like jump mechanic and different arsenal, which is to say that it's not anything too special. Graphics are one of bigger improvements when it comes to the previous game, however I and some others have noticed visual bugs like weapons overlaying with one another or some objects like crates or cargo visuals not loading in cause you are too far **** you are using a sniper any you can't even see those visuals with that if they are far away, resulting in you thinking you missed a shot but you actually hit an "invisible cargo" or something similar to it. Sountracks and sound effects are very well made and fit the atmosphere. That is one improvement compared to the first game that I can give with an ease. Enemies are also well designed. Humans call each other by name and are somewhat smart when it comes to scouting and trying to eliminate you. I also like the fact that there are many ways of taking an enemy out and visuals of that are very well made. Story wise is definitely not this games best side from my perspective. Characters in game felt like they were making irrational decisions or were doing an opposite of what they did before for no well given reason. Their designs are well made and you do end up caring for them (as long as they didn't do something to make you not care for them, which does happen for some). Which is a shame since for most of them when they are done with their part in the story, it doesn't leave you with any satisfaction. Like they were just there for the sake of being there, not contributing to the main story whatsoever. So short to say: Gameplay was ok, sound was awesome, graphics were improved, foes were alright, story was poor and so were the characters.

Fans of the anime or manga, rejoice! This game tells its very own story which as you can tell includes all of main cast. Singleplayer is most enjoyable to experience, if you are on track with story all the was to part 8, otherwise expect spoilers. Gameplay is enjoyable and has variety of unique dialogue exchanges between allies/enemies. Every battle stage has it's own quirk to keep things interesting. One of bigger downsides to this game is that it does not provide versus or coop option, especially since most fights are consistent of 2v2. Feels like a missed opportunity.

While I still wonder if Soul Calibur 3 is better or not then Soul Calibur 6, I do have to applaud this title. Whether this is last game in the series or not, I do think it's very well made. It contains most of fan favorite characters in it (those which are not, I expect to come in dlc) and story segments are interesting for majority of them. The possibilities when creation your own costume characters are nearly endless. Don't believe me? Just type any of your fave character from any game and add "soul calibur" on google search and you will see what I mean. Battle stages are very detailed and interesting, only shame is that number of available stages is not as high as some previous titles had. Character movesets are all flashy or at the very least efficient plus they change them every half a year or 1 year so it keeps gameplay interesting.

Soundtracks, dialogue, gameplay and character interaction is spot on, especially for those that cleared Re:Mind content. My score does reflect Kingdom Hearts 3 without Re:Mind content. Counting Re:Mind, I would've most likely given 10. Now that that is out of the way, new gameplay mechanics made the game very enjoyable. World exploration surpasses every previous title in this series. Mostly because world size is easily double, if not triple larger. You would think high def graphics would ruin such game but it turns out it still fit the genre. Story as usually great with some amount of confusion every now and then. Can't go without that. Reason it's not 10 out of 10 lies in some story elements, but nothing major.
