Widows story line seemed somewhat disjointed in a few scenes leaving one wondering "what was that all about?" Further, many scenes added no or little value to the movie and could have been edited out, producing a much better overall movie. Many solid performances by very good actors/actresses. I thought Viola Davis and Elizabeth Debicki stood out and enjoyed the premise of the movie.

Enjoyed this movie more than Skyfall. Agree that the plot may have been a bit weak but feel that Spectre tidied up all the loose ends which began with Casino Royale. The filming and music was fantastic. The antagonist wasn't as evil as seemingly thought (script wise) and thought the ending was a bit weak when compared to past Bond movies. I kind of felt that everyone knew this was Daniel's last Bond movie and that is how they ended it. In some ways the script was strong and other ways it was weak. The actions scenes were fun to watch; but it was mostly the scenes between the characters that I found weak, lacking substance, and too mechanical.

This would have been a much better movie if the sound quality was better. It was hard to follow at times because of the sound quality and I had hearing aides on. Older movies sound quality much better than today's. Do not understand why. I can still re-watch older movies and hear the words. Now days movies, good luck! A very violent, dark movie - del Toro what a horrible character but he had me believing. My opinion, he stole the show (Oscar quality). Although Blunt was good in the movie, just thought her character was not very believable. If FBI, agent would know the harshness of the cartel, etc. So, think the writers did her character injustice, to a certain extent. Made her look innocent and frail, which I cannot believe especially after she uncovers 20+ bodies hidden behind a wall in Arizona. Brolin added to the creepy feel of the movie but have seen him play better roles in movies.

I purchased tickets only to get a refund after reading an article on how President Johnson was horribly portrayed in this movie. What a shame that a director cannot get the facts right in portraying all important parties, especially one that changed the social dynamics and direction of the US. It was not the Kennedys that pushed through civil rights, it was LBJ. Anyone living through the 60's should recall the events and the times. Kennedy was too busy with Castro and the Cuban Missile Crisis. He put LBJ in charge who followed through when elected president. This was a time of social upheaval and many whites were against the movement, remember Governor Wallace? Well, LBJ was one of the biggest supporters of the movement but was dealing with political differences in the congress and played his game to push the bill through. You can call LBJ many things; I was not a fan of his. But as President of the US, he did support the civil rights movement. And for anyone to call this a great movie, forget it! Directors need to keep their personal interpretations/spins/opinions out of the picture when creating historically-based movies, especially one that had such an important impact on this country. With the racial/cultural issues that all Americans are witnessing today, this movie may be inadvertently enhancing today's racial/cultural issues by painting a picture based on un-factual events.

What a horribly made movie, as well boring. After reading the critics' reviews, I was hoping for a really good movie, but it was so disappointing. The sound was horrible and wish that today's movie would improve upon delivering clear dialogue. There is no excuse, especially when one can pull up a 40's movie where the audio and sound is so much more crisp. Today, the audio/sound is all left up to artistic interpretation of the movie, by whom, I do not know. But, there was so much dialogue in this movie that was lost in the translation due to the poor audio. Given that, the storyline was so shallow, boring, leaving one thinking that sooner or later something good/important was about to happen. Oh well, so many other better movies made this year. Last, the movie could very well done away with the monotonous female voice speaking throughout the movie, describing the emotions, whatever, of the movie. Pathetic. People around us, including my friend all were going to sleep in the movie theater, if that tells anyone anything.
