The Jackbox Party Pack 5

The Jackbox Party Pack 5 is probably the most popular party pack in general, but what are my opinions? YDKJ FS: They took a more "Jackbox Games" style to this version of YDKJ, and things like the scoring system are pretty good bonuses. But I'm not exactly sure why they changed the Jack Attack. Also, I liked how the screws worked a lot better in 2011/2015. I do like the lore of Cookie being kidnapped, and the Binjpipe rep is hilarious. 7/10. Split The Room: Split the Room is a game where you get a pre-made prompt and have to fill in the blank with something. At the end of your dilemma, there will be a yes or no question. Your goal is to use your answer to divide the room between the two answers, getting more points the more divided the response wins. Great host, fun game, and funnier gameplay. 9/10. Mad Verse City: You rap battle your friends as robots, people vote on who wins that match, winner gets a lot of cash. Do that for three rounds until there's a winner. Every time I play this game, I end up liking it less. You don't write all your verses for one, you pick a word for the first and third line at random without knowing what the prompt is, I'd much rather write my own bars all the time. Also, this game is a BIG popularity contest, so good luck if you're going against a big streamer. 5.5/10. Zeeple Dome: They tried doing something new, and they bombed. There isn't even a goal for the game, you just destroy monsters... it's stupid, lazy, and I wonder why anybody would unironically enjoy this game. 2/10. Patently Stupid: One of the best drawing games. You get a problem, and draw an invention to solve that problem with a title and tagline. Then people can fund projects, and if you get enough funding you pass, and get some extra money, while all the other people who invested in that get money too. If you don't reach that goal, you get the money of everybody who funded your project, and that's all. Very fun game, very funny as well. 9.5/10. My overall rating for this pack is an 8/10.

The Jackbox Party Pack 4 is also a pretty solid pack, with some great games. But do any of them fall short? Let's see... Fibbage 3: IMO, this is the second best Jackbox game as a whole. It's classic fibbage but with an abstract floral theme. Who doesn't love fibbage? Also, an amazing soundtrack. Actually, as a whole I think people sleep on Jackbox's OST. It also has a sidemode, Fibbage: Enough About You which focuses on the players rather than random trivia, which is really cool. 10/10 game. Monster Seeking Monster: MSM is a game about dating your friends. Each round you get four messages to send to somebody, hoping to woo them over and get a nice date going. Now, the catch is that everybody is actually a monster with special powers, so it could be damaging to date somebody. If you do get a successful date, you get a heart. On the blood moon you get two hearts. If you get rejected, you can't go on another date. MSM is really fun but quite long, but some roles are trash but others are pretty great. 9/10. Survive The Internet: A game where you make headlines to make people look bad. It's funny, but I'm not a big fan of the scoring system plus it can be easy for trolls to get in and say some not so good things. 7.5/10. Bracketeering: You get a prompt, your prompt goes in the bracket, hope you win. I do like the prediction feature, but the first 2 rounds are kinda "meh" to me. The final round is actually pretty fun, and should have been the whole game. Good filler, 6.5/10. Civic Doodle: The worst drawing game in the francise, it's so flawed. You make a mural, vote on who's is best. Then you have to add stuff onto the voted person's mural. Vote again. Repetitive, boring, not funny. All the things a Jackbox game should not be. 1/10. Despite Civic Doodle being in this pack, it's still a really good one, and so my overall rating is an 8.25/10.

The Jackbox Party Pack 3 is when they started to get really good. Every game in this game is at least decent. Quiplash 2: The best version of Quiplash. It's the same game we know and love, but more polished and clean. Also, a better Last Lash. It even featured multi-language support giving it the brand "Quiplash 2: Interlashional." And custom episodes. 10/10. Trivia Murder Party: A insane serial killer hosts a trivia game where you fight for your life. Get it right and you get $1000 and are safe for that round. Get it wrong and you're forced to play a minigame. Most of them are fair, but then we have minigames like Fingers and the Loser Wheel which is a lose situation. In almost any other game I would blame the game devs for making it stupidly unfair but he's so hellbent on killing you that it makes it understandable that [redacted} would make the game unfair for you. But the thing is, the second one is almost better in every way. It's still a fun game, though. 9/10. Guesspionage: The definition of "decent." It's a good filler game. One person guesses a percentage of something, the others either say higher or lower. The final round is trash though. It's not amazing, but it's not bad... it's Guesspionage. 6.5/10. Tee KO: Good drawing game where you draw a design on a T-Shirt and make a catchphrase, and then other people will get that drawing and catchphrase. You yourself will get people's random catchphrases and drawings and use those to create a T-Shirt. Then it will start a gauntlet pitting people against each other, and people vote on the best T-Shirt. It's unbalanced because some are of course way funnier than others but that's okay with me. 7.5/10. Fakin' It: The original Among Us clone, but I can't say much about it because you have to play in person. It's still fun, I guess. 5.5/10. My overall rating is a 8.5/10.

Party Pack 2 is okay, to sum it up. The games are fine except one, but they're all forgettable. Fibbage 2: More Fibbage! It's better and cleaner than the first one, but other than new prompts and settings, there's really nothing extra. Same old Fibbage. 7.5/10. Earwax: I don't like Earwax. People compare Quiplash to Cards Against Humanity, but I think Earwax is most like it. And that's not a good thing. You have to basically choose the best/funniest sound you have to win. Which ****, because there's no challenge or strategy. Just hope you get something that fits. 4/10. Quiplash XL: The original Quiplash, it's a classic. It's simple. Get a prompt, answer with the funniest thing you can think of. People vote on these prompts, person with most votes wins. It's a staple, but it suffers the same fate as Fibbage. The newer versions are better than it. It's a great game, just trumped. 7/10. Bidiots: Bidiots is deceptively complicated. I don't understand much of it myself, but to sum to up, you draw 2 drawings and then it plays out like a regular auticion where you buy it and then see how much it's worth. Due to the complexity of the game I've only played it about 5 times, so I have to give it a 5/10. Bomb Corp: Bomb Corp is fun, but it gets chaotic with around 3 players, which isn't very good for a TEAM based game where you have to be very cautious with your moves. This one also requires you to be with people to play correctly. It's a fun game, but I don't like how you'll get the best result playing with 1-2 people. 5.5/10. Overall, this pack is a 6.5/10. Quiplash and Fibbage carried this pack.

This pack is the definition of average. It's probably the worst pack in the series, but that's expected because it's the oldest. So, let's review the games in the pack. YDKJ 2015: It's the main reason people got this game in the first place, it being the most familiar one due to the TV shows and card games. The video game can be fun, and the host is funny, but there's really no reason to play this version over Full Stream. 6.5/10. Fibbage XL: A great game. Create lies, hope people pick those lies instead of the truth. Simple but entertaining. But it suffers the same fate of YDJK 2015: there's no reason to play it over Fibbage 2 or Fibbage 3. 7/10. Drawful: The best game in the pack. Somebody draws something random, and people enter in replies t what they think it's supposed to be. The person who drew it says what it is as well, and people have to choose what the drawing is. It's basically Fibbage, but with drawings. I prefer it over FIbbage only because I think it's sequels (Drawful 2 and Drawful Animate) are worse than the original. 8/10. Then, we have the downsides of this pack. Word Spud is one. Word Spud is hot potato but with words. The thing is, it can last forever. And that ****. You have to add words to the last letter of a word, and other players can choose if it's allowed or not. It's boring and uninspiring. 4.5/10. Lie Swatter. You get a question. You answer if it's true or a lie. That's all there is to it. Boring, unoriginal. It's literally just truth or false. The only special thing about this game is that you can play with up to 100 players. 2/10. Anyways, it's not that good, but Drawful is pretty fun. 6/10 is my overall rating.
