Best interpretation of d&d in a video game. You really can discover entirely new things based on your race, class, decisions. But rules are inconsistent, mechanics especially in battle are a bit buggy, game can't even do math right some of the time (8+4+3=18 for example ).I played on balanced difficulty and its anything but. Puzzles aren't designed around dice roll mechanics (stealth puzzles for example but you're constantly falling over on grease which you can't avoid). However long your game time will be half that will be reloading and repeating fights.

Long time FF fan since 7 original. I've never felt a mainline final fantasy has ever let me down. Always found the story to be so good it sours me to continue playing. This is no exception. It's beautiful, cinematic, engrossing. The combat is where it lets me down though. I'm ok with the shift to action but this is too simplistic. You pretty much charge in tap one button repeatedly, tap another once in a while, dodge. And that's it. Im still to finish but it's lacking in the tactical nuances like elemental weaknesses, world exploration, spells and classes. A good game but even without the accessibility accessories, it's too simple and easy in terms of gameplay.

Fantastic animations, movesets, story. Only problem is not enough time went into the mechanics at launch or after all these years unlike previous titles. Why play a game just to juggle opponents in the air to death with no means of escape. Why play dragonball if you don't want to pair off a final flash with with a instant transmission kamehameha?

Started out pretty good. You get some starter decks from playing the solo mode but as soon as you're in PvP duels. It's the usual pay to win bs I've come to expect from Yu-Gi-Oh. If you're not playing one of the meta decks, with one turn victories you've already lost. You've got people playing multiple limited or forbidden cards like they forgot to put the restriction in the game or players just modding. When you can summon multiple tribute monsters in your opening turn who needs the heart of the cards you've already won.

TLDR: Load times are not that bad (i am on PS4 pro if that matters). Think most complainers have been playing on early access before the day 1 patch. Compelling story opener which will unfold in the coming months Great VA and feel for the world. Been playing for a few hours now and don't see what everyone is complaining about. Yes the load times are a bit longer than im used to but i don't know if just that the day 1 patch has improved them a lot but they're not that bad. might be waiting 90secs secs to load back into Freeplay. The only 2 complaints i have is not being able to play freeroam solo for gathering crafting materials and admittedly the being pulled forward because of aimpatient random team member is annoying. Otherwise a compelling story opener, great voice acting, so much fun to fly around and try and pull off combo's with friends. I have a healthy distaste for EA practices but to be fair people have to remember this is not a single player campaign RPG where you get a beginning, middle and end. It's an ongoing story which will unfold over months.

Completely changed the genre from Darksiders 1&2. Where they were hack n slash puzzley dungeon RPG's this game has completely ripped off the dark souls mechanics. And unfortunately due to input lag, poor hit boxes and a very slow healing animation what should be a tough fight becomes near impossible. I'm playing on Balanced (normal) and it is anything but. Maybe they will patch the poor control lag but who asked for a genre change? When over the many years since DS2 were fans saying make Darksiders more souls like? For me i just dont like the repetition of having to wade through hordes of mobs every time you restart from a checkpoint. It's boring, time consuming and slows down the story progression. I'll bump it down to easy mode and try and burn through it but then it's getting traded. Update: Having finished the game i very much enjoyed Fury's journey and story. I even prefer it over Death's but it doesn't bare replaying given the frustration of everything in between the juicy story points.

Unfortunately despite all the positive aspects of this game, the art, the battle mechanics, possibly the story it's all let down by the impossibly poor level progression. You grind to complete one dungeon only to move into the next area and every mob on the world map is 3 levels higher. So you have to go back to the last dungeon and grind it out again and again until you match their level. Example i complete a lvl 13 dungeon and the next story quest sends me to an area where they're lvl 16 and can 1 hit kill my lower HP characters. No level 14-15 mobs to grind on for moderate exp. Only choice is back to the last area for minimal exp gains until you have 3 characters min high enough but you'll want your others at that level too so that doubles the grinding. It is pretty much the only negative aspect but it **** any momentum and enjoyment out of the game.

If you liked mass effect 2 & 3 then youre sure to like Andromeda. Ok its character models are a bit last gen and the facial animations are as bad as youve heard for some of the characters but its still a Mass Effect story and a good one with updated battle mechanics and a fun multiplayer. Youre given moral choices to make and are involved in the lives of your companions and the worlds youre trying to create.
