Dragon Age: The Veilguard2
Nov 2, 2024
This is a EA game, it isn't a bioware product and there hasn't been a good bioware product in 10 years when Dragon Age: Inquisition was made. I think it is the end of the studio. I won't be buying anything from them again. I played mage, its a point and click. Even the aim is auto-lock. 16gb ram and nvme ssd drive game lags transitions are slow. animations are better than inquisition. There's no loot except gold? The dialogue is the worst in the studios history. I will get a refund I wont finish it. Was really hoping for something comprehensive, well written and unique but I think I'll have to keep playing baldur's gate 3 which is ironic...

Diablo IV4

The story is good compared to the light soy sauce Diablo 3, I liked the writing and the characters. Diablo 3 had content though but I guess I was late to playing it so maybe it **** ass at launch. There are a lot of negatives though and that is that this game is not fun to play after the main quest is complete. There's no worthwhile content and in diablo 3 I could run rifts here there's... World events?
The world events aren't often and there is no one doing them. I can't even be bothered playing my character, game is empty after level 40 I'm not going to play it again with any of the other classes. I would rather play Diablo 3 now tbh, the itemisation in this game is senseless. I don't really like the skills either the passives I don't see as really important. I hate the character progression. I am still waiting for set items and all the rares seem... pointless... things like shaco gate didn't really matter because the player base is gone. I think they needed acts, open world is good but there's no core area or runs that are fun. The areas are diverse but all too similar, it points to bad level design, there isn't enough variety or action sequences outside of the campaign, even then I thought some of the bosses needed work. Like killing Lilith ****, I didn't find the butcher? I think a lot of the content is hidden. If the acts 1,2,3,4 and so on were different sections of the game with there own experiences it might've been a better experience because they would've been forced to make a different game. So yeah the world map is cool but boring, not really what i'd call good level design there is something missing. Nothing like BG3 anyway, no distinct regions or cultures or people and the cities seem to similar. Its almost like there is cut and past jobs with different textures like snow instead of sand. I only played season 2 which is the best so far and season 3 is dismal and worse? I might come and do the story again later but this is only really a campaign game without replayability.

This game is well built. - If I die I don't feel like I lost. it can occur because of attrition rather than lack of skill which is rare in gaming. - Progression is slow but it is still attainable. - There are interesting things in this game to keep you coming back and the runs or acts aren't so long you don't want to play. - You don't have to play every class some are more enjoyable than others.

I read a lot of good reviews so i thought i'd take a shot but i wouldn't recommend it for fun. It's to addictive and it pushes it on you aggressively. It's repetitive and you get to a point where the fun is replaced with being annoyed. It's a extreme grind fest and the buffs dont seem to do anything as a certain point. It will give you RSI this thing is a massive button mash i don't think i've ever felt like my hands were this sore in a long, long time. It's very hard to master the difficulty of this thing is very hard I didn't play demon souls because it was rumored to be terribly hard but this didn't have the same notoriety it should be warned that if you want variety you won't find it here. The story is not so rewarding I don't know what I'm suppose to do in this game. Escaping the underworld isn't as rewarding as you would think. It's like demon souls which I really didn't understand either and didn't attempt. Maybe if I was younger I'd love it more.

I got this after the PS4 version which was my worse gaming experience in years so bad I quit and got a return. This game isn't what I wanted coming from the PS4 experience I thought the PC would be skys ahead everyone was saying get it on PC it runs so well it's so polished. It's not. It has so much missing that was suppose to be there from promotions, I followed the updates and all the studio people saying what this was going to be an ambitious open world with revolutionary game play. Ready when it's ready and other lines. I expected it to be ready and the game to be something like KOTOR in world building and design. I have got a refund for PS4 and uninstalled the PC game, CDPR needed another 3 years.

I wanted to love this game. It is the first game I ever pre-ordered apart from skyrim but it doesn't run on ps4. It lags and shudders on most encounters I could only play the prolouge and afew side missio
ns before I gave up.

Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire5

I was hit by a game breaking bug in the core storyline when playing pillars of eternity two only a few quests in. I think there is a console work around that I found but that will take time for me to figure out. Abit of a shame tbh also a lot of loading screens will break the altogether emersion since every transition seems to load a different map.
