The Walking Dead: A Telltale Games Series9
Jan 25, 2013
I really have to say this game is almost perfection. I was worried about it going in that it would focus too much on random zombie action and take away from WHY we love the Walking Dead. We like it because it actually has story and character development. Not just random gore. The game is a point and click adventure. If that's not your type of game wait for the crappy FPS coming out soon. (That I'll still probably play.) The timed decisions mechanic is a great move from the developers. Only have seconds to make a split choice really ripens the tension and panic of your situations. On top of that the game has a lot of content. 5 full episodes that can be a couple hours each to finish, with different paths and outcomes depending on how your handle things. Every choice you make can affect you way later down the road to similar to the style Mass Effect recently took. If your a fan of the show, comics, zombies in general and like a good game that will challenge your wit and morals, get it.

Pokemon White Version 29
Jan 25, 2013
Advancing on the already set up story in White & Black, Pokemon B/W2 steps more int he right direction for the series. With harder challenges, and interesting tournament mode, and mix of Pokemon from all regions, going back to Unova already isn't as bad as it seems.

Dead or Alive Dimensions9
Jan 25, 2013
Unlike Street Fighter 4, which felt somewhat clunky and forced on the 3DS, the control scheme for Dead or Alive just seems to fit handheld gaming. Along with great visuals, active online, and a decent amount of unlockable content, Dead or Alive is the preferable Fighter to own on your 3DS.

Star Fox 64 3D8
Jan 25, 2013
Everything you loved about Star Fox 64 is abck and updated for the better. The 3d makes flight look great although I was not a fan of Gyro controls, despite it being a neat idea. All the content you had in 64 is here including the multiplayer. Although leaving Online out was a bad move the game is still worth a purchase in my book. Let's hope Fox finally gets a new game on WiiU now.

Super Mario 3D Land10
Jan 25, 2013
After feeling disappointed with Galaxy 2, 3D Land was exactly what I needed from Mario. The controls are tight, the visuals and music are beautiful, and on top of that it is probably one of the most extensive Mario games in years. With secret words the game features a whopping 16 worlds. Add on all the Star coins to collect, the time runs to beat, and classic Mario fun and you have **** Nintendo experience.

Mario Kart 710
Jan 25, 2013
Take the amazing online introduced in Mario Kart Wii, add some nice new stages, make it portable, and your ready to roll with this 3DS must purchase. Although the character roster seemed so lacking it was hardly enough to put me off from the rest of the game. It's what you expect from Mario Kart and a little more.

Kid Icarus: Uprising10
Jan 25, 2013
For a sequel to a game that hadn't seen light in almost 20 years Uprising really was a surprising gem. Fast, customizable combat, full on voice acting, a fun story, beautiful visuals, and amazing online make this one of the best titles on 3DS still even to this day. While many have complain about uncomfortable controls I have yet to ever have a problem with them.

Theatrhythm Final Fantasy7
Jan 25, 2013
A very fun distraction. People who have played many Final Fantasy games will enjoy it most obviously, but some will find good songs from the games they haven't played yet. Although player beware some of the songs are accompanied with background cut scenes from the games and may include spoilers.

Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance9
Jan 25, 2013
Just when I thought combat could never be done any better then KH2, Dream Drop comes around. Was I surprised to see that not only was the combat on par with 2 on a handheld, but actually added more with flow motion and things just ran so fluidly. While the story REALLY starts to hit the weird point here I still loved every second of the ride. Really pumped to hopefully see KH3 soon.

New Super Mario Bros. 29
Jan 25, 2013
Although the New Super Mario Bros series is getting a lot of hate for being too much of the same, the simple coin idea featured in 2 is just enough to make the game seem a little more satisfying. Since most new Mario games are so easy, I never cared much to collect coins. Watching that meter go up over time as you play and coin rush to beat your friends records is an interesting experience in itself.

Pokemon Dream Radar5
Jan 25, 2013
A bit bland and annoying due to time limits and the amount of time you have to wait to even be allowed to complete it. But the only way to get the three forms of Landorus, Thundorus, and Tornodus. Pokemon fanatics only purchase.

TONS of characters with full voice acting, all with different play styles, and a charming story. Everything I'd expect from an Atlus game. Kept me busy for hours.

Pokedex 3D Pro3
Jan 25, 2013
A Pokedex app with info you can find anywhere online. The 3D models are nice for making cool pictures for friends but otherwise meh. Not worth $16. I'll feel a little better if they update it with Gen 6 after release though.

Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why'd You Steal Our Garbage?!!8
Jan 25, 2013
For what it is Adventure Time is a great title. Sure it's short and leaves you longing for more but it's a great little retro feeling Adventure game and as I call it, "Zelda II done right." Fans of the show are sure to love it, but otherwise look into it a bit more before purchasing.

Scribblenauts Unlimited8
Jan 25, 2013
The game goes as far as your mind can. Being my first Scribblenauts game I was unsure what to expect. Suddenly I find myself riding around on Donkey Kong with a light saber and radiating a town with a nuke. If you have a taste to push your creativity then this is the game for it.

FIFA Soccer 134
Jan 25, 2013
I know the developers were rushed to get this game ready by launch and I know they had a rough time with that but FIFA 13 ends up being disappointing because of it. Don't expect a version on par with other consoles like I did. Due to the time limits you pretty much have an updated version of the Wii's watered down FIFA 12. Was the only WiiU game I've traded in so far.

Assassin's Creed III8
Jan 25, 2013
AC3 brings a lot to the table with new mechanics, an amazing over world, a fun hunting distraction, and the WiiU version is just as good as any other. Being able to play on the Gamepad is a blast and with so much to do, you'll appreciate being able to play it in bed.

ZombiU5
Jan 25, 2013
A great idea but very dissapointing. ZombiU amazing captures what we all love about survival horror. You always feel a bit on edge. In my eyes this is what newer Resident Evil's SHOULD have been like. But the game is falls short with repatitive combat and difficulty to the point of just being annoying to some. But it really does show what the gamepad can do and I'd love to see a sequel with little more polish.

Nintendo Land9
Jan 25, 2013
As a pack in with the WiiU Nintendo Land is a great game to see what the Gamepad can do with a lot of extra content. While it may get old fast on your own multiplayer is some of the funnest I've played in years. There is also a ton of unlockables for those of you who like to 100% things.
