Even when it's obvious they were heavily limited by Game Freak, ILCA handled these remakes very well. Let's not forget that the instruction was a 1:1 remake from the originals, so they didn't have a lot of space to innovate, but graphically it is WAY better than Sword and Shield. It also puts the level of complexity and exploration that we had 10+ years ago side to side with the barren and boring gameplay of Sword and Shield. That said, it is a buggy mess. I happen to find this very entertaining, but it certainly won't sit well with a lot of people, especially since more than a week has gone by and no patch for the most game-breaking glitches is in sight. The only thing I have an issue with is the price. It is definitely not worth $60, if it was $40, it'd be perfect. Fire Game Freak already!

Incredible in my opinion, though not recommended if you're looking for an action-oriented-with-little-story game. Most of its appeal comes from the story and the characters, and if you get invested it takes you through a heavy emotional journey. Pros: Great story, amazing soundtrack, fast paced battles, lots of hidden little secrets, above-average replayability, interesting characters, mostly open exploration. Cons: Only 4 weapon styles, no autosave (not usually problematic, but is a hassle if the game crashes, which it sometimes does), some grindy element to 100% it. But all in all it is amazing. If you're looking to get completely absorbed by a great story that leaves you asking yourself complex questions, this is the game for you.

I don't know if it is me getting older or the developers becoming lazier, but I didn't enjoy it as much. It did have some positive points, though. What I liked: -Removing the cap on EV medicine. -Variety of Pokemon in relatively early game. -Better movesets for some past gen Pokemon -Egg moves can now be added to already hatched Pokemon What I didn't like: -The dex cut, especially because the reason provided for it was to do better animations and I just didn't see that. -Excessive hand-holding throughout the game story. -Post-game is ridiculously short. -No way to change to a Hidden Ability -Removal of several moves and the Dynamax mechanic simplified the PvP aspect to a point where it's just boring. All in all, it feels like an unfinished game. I would rate it higher if the DLC content was available from the start or added as free updates, since it fixes some of the issues the game had.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist: Link Evolution5

Pros: An overwhelming amount of available cards. Prompts to activate cards can be adjusted to not show every 2 seconds. Grinding is not that heavy, every battle gives enough for anywhere between 2 and 5 packs of 8 cards each. Campaign battles can be done with a customized deck, even on the first run. Quick recap of the story for the fans. Cons: Overpriced, especially if you had the previous release. No way of tracking which card came from which pack. The tutorial for newcomers still leaves a lot out. Barebones animations, and for a ridiculously tiny amount of monsters at that.

Digimon World: Next Order8
Aug 9, 2020
If you played and loved the original Digimon World in the PS1, it's going to be a wonderful trip to memory lane, together with enough new mechanics and tweaks that make it unique. If you didn't, however, it might not appeal to you a lot due to the battle system. Give it a go anyway. Pros: -Beautiful sceneries -Lots of areas to explore -The ExE mechanic -Great soundtrack with some remixes from the first game -Good and reasonably long post-ending gameplay. -At least 100 hours of gameplay if you plan to go for the 100% Cons: -Gets a little repetitive after a long time playing it. -Lots of "repeated" obtainable Digimon (3 variants of Wargrowlmon, Veedramon, Gabumon, etc.) resulting in a poor variety of available Digimon whose spaces could have been used by other notable Digimon that were left out (Hawkmon, Falcomon, etc.). -No multiplayer interaction, except for the automated Battle System that doesn't require any interaction whatsoever.

I keep coming back to it. Kind of clunky mechanics when compared to the third installment, but retains a huge replayability value.

Amazing. The perfect combination between a Metroidvania and a Souls-like game. Difficult, but fair. Beautiful scenarios and a 10/10 soundtrack.

Code Vein9

While it has a lot of Souls-like mechanics, it gives off a completely different vibe. Pros: Good combat system with a lot of options and an incredibly large amount of build combinations possible. The character creator also has an astounding amount of customizations available. Entertaining story and complex characters. Cons: The english voice acting is bland and emotionless most of the time. Lag in Multiplayer. Not really a con, but it is gets tiresome to see so little clothing on the femaie characters if that's not what you're attracted to, why not objectify both genders?

Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth: Hacker's Memory8
Jul 5, 2020
The fact that very few additions were made was a little dissapointing. Still, the formula remains entertaining and easy to learn, and the characters and story are very interesting. The fact that you can import some data from the previous game saves you a lot of grinding.

Very colorful and easy to learn. Great characters and awesome and deep story. Gets a little bit grindy at times if you want to 100% it, but it is optional and you don't want to miss it.
