A great lightweight roguelike. I used to play more heavier, more established rogulikes, but with me growing older and with less time, I appreciate a game that I can complete in under an hour. Despite it being short, it's tightly packed with tactical challenges and that results in a high number of interesting player decisions per minute. There are a number of interesting game systems: The player transforming from a human to a vampire and back is the core idea and it plays wonderfully, even though I was sceptical about it at first. This interacts in a great way with the sunlight and moonlight mechanics, which also interact with the numerous cast of monsters. And on top of that, you have probably the best roguelike potion mechanic: allowing you to make informed decisions, while still keeping the surprising moments and emergent gameplay. The dev clearly thought about all the tropes and mechanics of the classic games of the genres and focused on the good while cleaning up the old mechanics that stuck just because of the tradition. The great variety of classes, optional branches all help the game stay replayable for a long time.

A really good roguelike, feels super smooth and fun to play. Excellent controls and great variety of weapons.

I like the idea of the game, but the execution felt somewhat lacking and it drags on for a few hours too long. Gives a good mood of a period, but somewhat fails as a game, and many scenes suffer from over-extensive unnecessary dialogues, and the minimal gameplay feels unsatisfying. Realistically, it's more of a visual novel, with a handful of simple puzzles and minigames thrown in. I enjoyed the overarching storyline, but it feels watered down by being spread over too long ****, could use some editing

An excellent political narrative game. The combination of an interesting storyline, tense writing and a lot knowledge/research on the politics make this one of the best political games so far.

A shallow clone of Suzerain. The game's narrative is quite weak, not committing to either being completely serious, nor being a satire. In the effect, getting through the ridiculous story feels like a slog. Your decisions mostly don't influence anything aside from your popularity meter, which for the practical purposes doesn't really matter. None of your decisions seem to make any influence, making the gameplay a slog. If you want a good narrative political game, pick Suzerain instead. If you want a good political simulation, play the latest installment of Democracy. And if you're in mood for a quality satire with fun gameplay, pick Tropico. This is not a good game.
