On paper, this game seems like an amazing alternative when it comes to pokemon. The art style is amazing and so is the animation, the world and story are built in a good way. BUT...... The game is super shallow when it comes to the diversity in the monster's skills, which is actually the reason why people play these kinds of games, for the great turn-based combat with the RPG elements. Yes, there are a lot of monsters to choose from on paper, and each one looks super unique on paper. But the skills are so lacking. Whoever created the game didn't take the time to create unique skills for monsters or even monsters that can use skills from different elements. The combat and skills are so shallow it's crazy and even when you level up you might get a weak skill that another monster starts with, every monster on level 64 gets the same op skill. I really advise you not to play it, I put a lot of hours into it and it really disappointed with this combat variety. I give it 6 only for the art style and the fact that it runs well.

Ok after around 12 hours with the game, this is my take: 1. The game is great and I recommend it to anyone who enjoys roguelite games with responsive combat and the ability to maximize the resources and tools you get and trying to make the most of any given run when it comes to scaling and aiming for a certain build. 2. THE GAME IS NOTHING LIKE HADES SO PLEASE STOP COMPARING LIKE DUMMIES. 2 GREAT GAMES WITH BARELY ANY SIMILIARITIES WHEN YOU ACTUALLY START PLAYING THEM. 3. On a personal note, I find this game easier than other roguelites. Maybe because it's built in a different way where there are different levels to runs and it starts pretty easy like a pyramid of difficulties. At first glance I was sure this game was a hard roguelite but so far It's actually a smooth sail for me. Maybe because I got some experience with these type of games but anyway it's not a bad thing that it's not as difficult as others 4. The Curse system is actually friendlier than I thought it would be, there are barely any curses that will screw your run over, most curses have great positive effects also. The important thing is to avoid getting the fifth curse because then you're most likely dead if you can't reach the boss before dying and still somehow beat him. 5. The game is super polished, I didn't tackle any bugs at all. Ya all should give it a try!

I love this game, I've enjoyed it a lot and I recommend it to every roguelike lover. But, it lacks. Other than the great skull variety that makes this game has replayability. When you beat it a couple of times, you start seeing how repetitive the game is. There is not much to keep you coming because you see the same items, rooms, bosses and so every run other than some mini-bosses that have a good variety. Only the core gameplay and experimenting with the skulls' abilities will bring you back but the lack of the item pool will make you be able to reach any build you want almost every run because the way the game works is that you can almost see every item every game. I think they should develop it more, make it deeper, they also need to polish some sections. Another small gripe I had is that it's one of the only combat-based roguelikes where I encounter unavoidable damage in some incidents, where it doesn't matter how good you are but there are some attacks and some skulls with one dash that can't dodge some attacks. I think this game is hard but it's not unfair and a good player would be able to eventually beat every run. Give it a try because it's really fun but don't expect too much to keep you playing like other games in the genre.

I give it 10 to balance the hate this really great game get from dark souls players and EA haters. I hate EA too but respawn nailed it, no it's not a souls like game at al, only got some aspects but it is not a difficult game even on the hardest difficulty. I loved it and enjoyed from the combat to the story and visuals, great experience and I highly recommend

On paper, the game seems amazing and checks all the boxes of what I like in games, roguelite, procedural generation and a bunch of random abilities. Started the game and got pretty far but it never ended, another boss another damage upgrade to my power another health upgrade, again killing the same mobs without many strategies, just circling around, it was just so monotone and boring and that was only on my first run, I beat a couple of stages but why is the game repeats itself every stage, it seems diverse but it really isn't. the game would have been better if it was shorter like a 30 mins average run....there is not enough diversity for making every floor so big. made me feel like I was wasting my time.

The game is nothing special but for some reason, people praise it because "nostalgia vibes" while every couple of years you get a dragon ball game that goes through the story, I already did this in Budokai 3 where I had a bunch of characters to choose from... cheap ass adventure fighting game that my 6-year-old son might enjoy, It's like those legos made for 3-7 years old. not worth 60$ and don't believe the reviews, it's just full of fans praise, this game is not even close to this score.

The shallowest fighting game ever, they got all the basics wrong, from a broken throw mechanic to jump kicks that beat anti-airs, poke happy game with 0 understanding of what true neutral means. guessing frenzy on a high level. A game for the casual crowd that feels like wasting their life grinding hard the game for a cosmetic. pure trash that only blind fans admire. if you take all that and add the microtransactions schemes you get a 0 score from me.

As a 3 times minesweeper world champion myself, I found the game to be just ok. Graphically the game is not so great to look at and I get it, it's "pixel art" but it's not the "wow it's so fun to look at" kind of pixel art, it's just murky pixels, sure looks better in smaller resolution. now when it comes to gameplay, I thought the game will deliver a cool twist on minesweeper. but it's not the case. there is a lot of RNG involved really, mostly because of the nature of minesweeper, you might make too many unfortunate open field guesses or 50/50 guesses and if you don't get items that revolve around restoring health/armor you're dead and you gotta start many stages of a level all over again. I guess that's the "roguelike" element. again it's just ok, like whatever, most items you get don't do anything too interesting, mostly revolve around coins health and armor. only a few ones help with solving the minefield. oh and the music made me sleepy, Idk maybe I'm just tired. The good thing is that the game acknowledges you very well on any element of the game that pops up the first time, every item has a description of what it does and you can even check all the items you already found. oh and there is a leveling system with achievements and some perma items, so I mean this game did get some love from the devs, It's not like a cheap 2 days developed fps by a kid, there is some substance. I just didn't enjoy the overall concept and gameplay. The bottom line is that I found the game forgettable but I give the devs props for trying something new. so I give it 6.2 gummy bears out of 10.
