One of the most brilliant shooter/platformers I've ever played! With an amazing story to suit this is, by far, my favourite game! With its HD upgrade for free released on Steam you can have even more fun with, not just a higher resolution game, but a completely redesigned game that is brilliant from start to finish! Only problem is that there's no sequel!

Yes, this is still part of the horror puzzle series known as Penumbra but you wouldn't be criticized for thinking otherwise. They've fully exchanged the horror element for extremely difficult puzzles which, in my opinion, isn't what Penumbra should be focusing on. Though a game it feels like a DLC for it's previous and that is why it gets a lower score by me!

This game is, without a doubt, containing one of the funnest fighting systems I have ever played in an RPG with its flawless physics, traps and balanced bows, swords, staves, and knives. The story is, believable in a fantasy setting but isn't great but holds the game well enough to sending you into battle against evil foes! The graphics are quite good for a game that was made when it was but the real strong point for me was the magic! Every spell is completely unique in its own way, fireballs being like homing missiles while frost spells could freeze enemies or terrain. They all add a very fun twist to the game that no other game has ever succeeded at before now! Definitely recommended if you're looking for an RPG with combat a cut above the rest!

Thief is an interesting game that offers brave new concepts of stealth. It offers it in a sleek and original way that no other game I've played can compare to. The graphics do their job well, they're average but understandable for the age of the game but the real great thing is how many items there are to steal per level and also how many routes you can take through every level which is amazing! The diverse tools of your trade include many different arrows for your bow as well as a blackjack, for knocking people out, and a knife for those life-or-death encounters. The bow works amazingly with it's different arrows whether they water arrows for torches or sound arrows for guards to be fooled by. Overall, a brilliant game that can, however, drag on after a while but still worth the experience of a true stealth game at its best!

This, as a sequel, did an amazing job to improve on the down sides of the previous game and brilliantly follow the story on! I definitely recommend this game to anyone wanting a dark, atmospheric game to pay that isn't typical like Doom 3 or Dead Space is! An only major downside is that puzzles can be extremely difficult to complete and there are a lot of them but otherwise, a great game! What makes it better is the DLC it comes with, Penumbra: Requiem which I have barely started and hope to enjoy as much as the full game counterpart.

I originally only bought this game as a DLC of sorts after playing Amnesia: The Dark Descent and, while this is a great game, barely holds a candle to Amnesia: The Dark Descent's spooky, dark gameplay. One thing this game does excel in is puzzles! A lot of puzzles! I bought this game for atmospheric mood and drama (Which I easily got) but puzzles sometimes ruined immersion as there were almost too many so, in conclusion, if you want a dark, atmospheric mood alongside many puzzles get this game though you may not enjoy it if you've played Amnesia: The dark Descent before this!

I got this game for free after winning a Steam competition (Bonus!) and have already played through and finished Portal 2 so playing this game was really quite hard for me at first because of the high expectations I gave it but it quickly grew on me... Almost as fast as I finished it. After two hours I finished it and that does sound very short but I felt like it stayed just enough as not to outstay it's welcome, like when you let a hobo in your house on a rainy day and he leaves after a coffee and when the rain stops, unlike some games where the hobo would stay after the rain has stopped and refuses to leave until you're forced to enjoy his company before he actually decides to high-tail it! Overall, very fun game with lots of challenges along the way that I thoroughly enjoyed so I give it an amazing ten out of ten!

I halved with my friend for this game the other day on Steam and I must say that... This game is absolutely amazing!!! I thought Portal was okay but it got old quickly but Portal 2 has kept me enthused the whole way with it's puzzles, cynical enemy GLaDOS, and the comic relief of Steve Merchant who plays your only friend in the game. I have not tried Co-Op yet and definitely will try it as me and my friend went halves on the double pack to save a couple dollars because I've simply been enjoying the story of the single player so much! Thanks for another great game!!!

So, Crysis: Warhead. Same gameplay as Crysis but a different character and story. Is it worth it? Well, gameplay wise, nothing has been changed which was a good thing for me. After finishing Crysis on Delta and Crysis 2 on Supersoldier I felt I needed something else with similar gameplay that wasn't the same game then this came around! I thoroughly enjoyed it and the advanced physics were awesome, the only thing letting the game down for me was a few glitches the larger Ceph had such as them getting stuck because they went into a tight space and couldn't get out again. Either way you look at it, buy it!

Overlord: Raising Hell is the first and only expansion to Overlord but is it worth the $10 (Steam Price) you're paying for it? Multiplayer has been added which didn't get me psyched at all as that didn't fit my gameplay style (Select all and send them to attack the closest moving thing) but the story mode add-ins was the main bit. After you defeat a boss a new Abyss becomes available. I've only done the first 2 but so far they are turning out to be very fun and enjoyable to play! The humor, like in the default Overlord, is still present and makes the game as good as it'll get without making the game to humorous! I definitely recommend this game if you have $10 you're confused about spending!

Great visuals and fun gameplay, this Real Time Strategy/Action Hack and Slash type game is really fun and, if you're buying off of Steam is definitely worth the $5. In my opinion it's worth alot more! You play the Overlord who has been awakened and needs to gain full power over the world again. Pretty basic story but heroes and mistresses and other things make the story fun and original and there is enough humour for everyone! You have control over 4 minions: Browns, Reds, Greens, and Blues. Browns being the idiotic beat-'em-up guys, Reds being the archers, Greens being the assassin's, and Blues being the healers of your small army. These 4 groups make the game very fun as they have their skills and weaknesses! Only downer for me would be the animation quality for the Overlord's attacks, they look repetitive and eventually get boring to watch but that isn't important at all! Can't wait to buy the DLC: Raising Hell!

It may be called FarCry 2 but it really has no connection to the story as far as I could tell. Just a name that would get it more sales but that doesn't make it bad. Quite the opposite! It's a huge non-linear game based in Africa where you, one of eight other characters is sent undercover to kill Jackel, someone arming both sides of a civil war there! It's very enjoyable and has the usual shooter elements that were done amazingly as the FarCry series has always done. The animations, physics, graphics and everything else is brilliant and looks almost real... That is if you get past the vehicles. They're fun to drive but two things make them to unbelievable. One, being that the break down waaay to easily and the second reason being that their physics is way off. Hitting a bush with a car in real life doesn't make the car completely stop and raise the back wheels into the air, a wall would do that! Other than the vehicle physics and strength this game is amazing and anyone who loves open world or shooters should defiantly take a look at this!

This book, err, I mean game is based on a Polish book called Blood of Elves. The story is very immerse, which was expected since it was made from a book to a game, with many characters who you begin to feel emotion for right after meeting them. The combat system of this game is very different from traditional RPG's. You have to click on at the right time to continue your over animated combos and you have three different attack styles, Strong, Fast, and Group which you must use depending on the enemy you're versing. You also have Steel Swords and Silver Swords. Steel Swords are most effective against humans, dogs, and wolves while the Silver Sword is most effective against monsters. The combat system is simple but very fun and engaging! The graphics are very good for the time the game was made but I was expecting to see cinematics with the graphics of the introduction but I believe those graphics are reserved for the first and final cinematic of the game. I wouldn't know, I'm still plying through it now, after months of addiction an family reunions avoided! The game really could have done without the sex scenes and cards. They add a cheesy touch that I hated! I haven't done any of them and don't intend to. Still a great game, missing 10 because of the unneeded sex.

A phenomenal next game in the Elder Scrolls series that took everything that wasn't already great in Morrowind and made it great! You would always hit an enemy if your weapon made contact, the graphics were upped 10 fold, every NPC in the game has dialogue and most importantly... There's a new story to immerse yourself with and a new land. Tamriel! This game is very imaginative and runs amazingly. The inventory has had a complete overhaul (among other things) and is what I would call the peak of RPG gaming available at the moment. The soundtrack to this game is unforgettable. For a taste of it try typing in Reign of the Septims in the YouTube search. That is the most memorable song I have heard in my life! This game is great and anyone who has a spare life should buy this game! After you've started, you won't be using your real life as much anymore!

Say The Elder Scrolls to any serious RPG fan and he'll know what you mean! Morrowind! It's a vast game filled with 100's of dungeons to explore and having over 100 hours+ gameplay! The game is ridiculously long and the two DLC's, Tribunal and Bloodmoon add 80 hours+ each! It is a fantasy game that revolutionized RPG games and will never be forgotten! It immerses you like no other game ever could surprisingly fits into a 1 gigabyte download on Steam which adds to the awesome! The soundtrack fits the mood and what more can I say! It' almost perfect! Yes... Almost! When you first start the game combat is almost impossible to use as your character started off a noob (as he should) but your attack chance was so lo that even if your weapon hit your enemy it would probably still count as a miss and leveling up is a pain too as it takes so long!

The final installment (story-wise) to the Sands of Time quadrilogy and this series ends with a bang! Set straight after Warrior Within's events the Prince returns with Kaileena to Babylon where he finds it under war by none other than the Vizier himself, come back to life because of the events at the Island of Time. The combat is typical of the previous game but made slightly better, adding combos and giving the ability to steal weapons and kill and enemy at the same time without looking up a secret guide on the Internet like on Prince of Persia: Warrior Within. Thing is though, they start moving away from combat in this game bringing in stealth kills called in this game Speed Kills. If the Prince is undetected and behind in enemy or in acrobatic placement he can do an animated Speed Kill which is quick, deadly and stylish through a series of left clicks when his weapons glow. Yes they're quick times but they're fun ones that are easy to do! The graphics are like Prince of Persia: Warrior Within's yet vastly better! The Prince also now has random encounters where he'll be transformed into his dark side, his evil side, his Dark Prince! He has a whole new combo system and looks completely different! The best part is when the Prince transforms back the Sand infection spreads up his arm more and more, each time he transforms! Like the other two games before this one has Life Upgrades but unlike Prince of Persia: Warrior Within are less hidden but still a challenge. Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones is a great game and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to feel the Prince's true acrobatic and fighting prowess and someone who wants to see the outcome of the Prince's story! Trust me, if you've played all the others before, the ending will make you cry! I did!

Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands is a well made game deserving of the place it's been given as a game in the Sands of Time quadrilogy! It's combat consists of an attack button, quick attacks being a click and holding it does a power attack which is stronger, a dodge button, and a jump button. They obviously must have forgotten to add a block button. There are also four powers to get through the level up menu I'll talk about next but after mastering one of the powers you're pretty much unstoppable in your quest to destroy Ratash, leader of the Sand Army your brother Malik mindlessly releases upon his own kingdom to stop the invading army. The level up system consists of you getting exp points through defeating foes and every 50, 100, 150, 200 etc. you unlock one skill point which can be used to purchase one upgrade. There are 31 upgrades in all. The two major cons that made me very sad is that that you can't replay the game without deleting your complete game save and starting over from the beginning! The second is for Steam only and that is that the game requires Wi-Fi to play! Overall, a very fun game to play... As long as you have Wi-Fi!

Prince of Persia... umm, 2008? I dunno! I'm just gonna call it Prince of Persia: The Fallen King because that sounds better to me! Enough about the title and to the game. The gameplay is simple and requires little dexterity to use but quite a while to truly master. It is alot easier than the Sands of Time trilogy (or quadrilogy including Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands) due to the fact that you can't die. Your hot companion will always save you which actually took alot of frustration off of this game for me! The graphics are absolutely stunning with an anime approach to visuals and character design. There are 20 areas and 4 bosses and each area must be purged of its corruption and bosses need to be killed. Simple! Some areas are obviously focused on more than others gameplay wise but they offer some originality to the others. Each area is individually designed (talking about graphics here) to have a different experience to them. The combat in this game can be quite easy as it is a 1 Vs. Prince combo based game with stunning over-the-top animations that really suit the games style! Overall, if you're a Prince of Persia fan, get this game, and if you aren't well... Get it anyway! My only main con I can find is the ending got me so angry because after all that effort of me purging the lands the Prince just goes and-oh right! No spoilers!

FarCry is an amazing game with spectacular graphics for its time! It is obviously a first person shooter that doesn't add much at all really in that aspect but the physics work great. The story is quite interesting involving mutant science on a mysterious island you find yourself on but it remains a true classic that I could even play now and compare it to some of the games like Call of Duty: Black Ops and Halo: Reach. I never tried multiplayer though because well, I really didn't want to. It seemed like just another shooter and I play games for story and their single player campaign which held the game up well! The only concern I would have is difficulty but I guess that's my fault for **** at it! It would be nice if the A.I eased up a little bit though! It is also one of the biggest first person shooters I've played with 20 huge levels based all around the island. So on an ending note... Buy it!

An awesome button masher or just another God of War remake? This game gives many people mixed opinions but I don't understand why! The graphics are amazing, the sound too, the story is alright and animations are spectacular! Let's start with story. One of the Four Horseman from the bible, War is called to Earth to help the end of the world go on but it turns out he was framed and doesn't know who sent the call of the Horsemen and War embarks on an epic journey to defeat the demon boss who was released to attack Earth in the first place. The story I didn't much care about, I'd give it a C+ at best but the gameplay I enjoyed thoroughly with its puzzles and epic animations and, to my excitement, no quick time events! The creatures and bosses are very imaginative as the weapons are too which I own all of them yet I never used any but the default one, Chaoseater, because use of weapons levels them up and by level three I was super man with this sword! Overall I give it an eight because of the stories lack of true depth to me though it still holds up well enough with its collectibles and achievements (if you're on Steam).

I'm used to playing shooters on the Xbox like Call of Duty or Halo but this one really stood out for me! One reason, well, look at the graphics! In my opinion, better than real life but graphics aren't everything in a game as we all know. But fortunately graphics aren't everything this game's got. It has great, well balanced gameplay and all the guns work as they should and don't make stupid mistakes e.g. Overpowered pistols, underpowered snipers etc. but that's not the reason I bought this game. I bought it for the Nanosuit! It gives the main character, Nomad, the ability to augment his skills in-game to suit the situation. He can turn invisible, make himself as strong as the Hulk, have bullets deflect as if they were paper or run like a speeding bullet (literally!). Overall awesome single player game that would've had a 10 from me had multiplayer been excluded! I was completely put off multiplayer as soon as the game started with it's over complex tasks and underpowered Nanosuits which is why I can't give it a perfect 10 unfortunately!

Amnesia has great gameplay, is very realistic, and frankly, scared the crap outta me, but in this case, that's a good thing! You play Daniel, a guy who for some reason gave himself amnesia and wakes up lying on the floor in an abandoned castle. A very creepy abandoned castle... The game itself has the ability to hide in closets when monsters show up or cry in the dark corner waiting for it to go away which I thought was very, very fun! There weren't many encounters with creatures, monsters (whatever they are) throughout the game but just enough to keep me cautious at every corner. Overall, an awesome game, my only flaw would be the fact it has almost no replay ability unless you've had amnesia yourself and forgot the plot and where all the monsters show up.
