Just at the end of the first season and I'm uncertain wether I will watch further. The problem I have is that Highmores character just comes across as a smarmy irritating know all and smugly smirks in self satisfaction after every blurted out diagnosis. The theory of the diagnosis search always follows a plodding predictable path and ends with the "I know better than you" input from Shaun then the surgery part is lacking in detail and way too clean and ungory. Just how they milked this idea to 7 seasons is a complete mystery to me.
