Super Mario Maker 29
Jun 28, 2019
Super Mario Maker 2 is one of the best games on the switch. The amount of stuff it adds makes for unique ideas that the most creative people will sure enjoy. The story mode has superb level design. However, making levels with the joy-cons or the pro controller is hard, I reccomend a stylus for the switch. Even tho online co-op is really fun, the online needs improvements and searching levels by IDS is still really dumb. Awesome job Nintendo!

New Super Mario Bros. 24
Jan 4, 2019
New Super Mario Bros 2 is one of the most dissapointing games I've ever played. The amount of stuff that are wrong with this game is just incredible. Where do I even start? The presentation is just copypaste of New Super Mario Bros DS and Wii, much better games. The story is just copypaste from older NSMB games, the hub worlds, power-ups, bosses, enemies, heck, even the 1st phase of the final boss is just a copypaste of NSMB Wii! Even the music is the same as those games. The only "new" power-up is the tanooki leaf, and it's alright I guess. And all of this problems also affect the level design, god it's one of the most boring, uninteresting designs I've ever went through. Some people try to defend the level design of this game by saying "This game is for beginners" but, Mario World was also meant for beginners, and it was also meant for hardcore gamers. THAT is the biggest flaw of this game. It literally treats you like you were stupid by giving you sooooo many lifes. Not only is the game easy and short (due to how short the levels are) another thing is that they've removed a lot of stuff from older games. Where's NSMB Wii battle mode? NSMBDS minigames? Instead we get a new mode called coin rush which yes, it can be enjoyable sometimes due to some levels are really hard (these hard levels are exclusive to this mode btw) and you also try to collect the most amount of coins. Oh yeah, That's LITERALLY the main "gimmick" of this game, collecting coins. In concept, it could be awesome, but they way the did it is just terrible. 1.) Why do we still have lifes whenever 100 coins are collected you receive a 1-up. And if the game's main "gimmick is to collect coins, it's nearly impossible to get a game-over and it makes the game even easier. Just no. 2.) Due to how boring the level design is, it's just soo easy to collect them 3.) Why do we even have to collect coins? The goal apparently is to collect 1 million coins, but the prize for doing that is just an insult to the fans who've spent hours getting 1 million coins. Do not try to get those coins, like, never, you will get dissapointed. I can go all day long saying how mediocre this game is. Because it just doesn't bring up something new to the table. The fact they use coins, COINS, for main gimmick just proves what I've just said. This game was made to do money, it did money cuz casuals and Nintendo literally released another NSMB game that exact year. (well, atleast THAT game did something different) And this game is soooo forgetable, if it never existed, nothing would've happened. Do not play this game. If you want to play an excellent game without being frustrated on how difficult it is, just play Mario World. Just, don't play this cash-grab.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate9
Jan 3, 2019
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is arguably the best smash game of all time. Like, literally, it has everything good about previous smash bros games and mixes it to be the ultimate smash bros game. Every character which has ever joined Super Smash Bros is back! The amount of fighters is overwhelming at the least. Like, how can you complain about this roster. Is perfect. And with the inclusion of echo fighters, it open the door for characters that we thought they will never get in. Like Daisy, Dark Samus or even Ritcher. The stage amount is soooooo perfect. 103 stages without counting battlefield and omega forms? Please Sakurai, take a 3 year vacation after the completion of the DLC. The gameplay however... I mean, it's objectively the best, like, I love how it's very well balanced or how literally every character is viable on competitive scene. But I just don't like it as much as smash 4's... i don't like how the shield can feel pretty cheap at some points, like, when an opponent does a poorly calculated smash attack, there isn't enough time for you to punish that because 1.) They have already shielded or 2.) They have already shield-rolled. But besides that, I find the gameplay to be very solid and really fun to play casually or competively. Also it looks like it's going to be the most balanced smash game due to patch notes, so yea, World of Light is great, I love it, I love how it's very relaxing to play, the amount of references on the **** themselfs, great bosses... It's complex but at the same time it's very simple. There ae over 1300 spirits and with more incoming due to events. The online... works? I find it very dissapointing, especially quickplay, but battle arenas are rad though. Sometimes you won't get the matches you want in quickplay, and it can be very frustrating. The lag is also a thing and it's even laggier if you're playing with your friends of other continents. It's ok, but it can be improved heavily. Classic mode is really great, that's it. everything in games and more is really solid, but I miss some modes like home run contest or events... oh well, hopefully they'll add those modes in future updates. Amiibos also work in this game which is a relief. And challenges are back whoch is awesomeeee. And the soundtrack. oh my... There are roughly 900 tracks in this game. It's literally he best videogame soundtrack of all time, just because like Sakurai said, "It's like you have a videogame music collection". You can even create your own playlists to listen to your favorite music whenever you want to. So yea, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is a must-buy of every Switch owner. Like I said at the beginning of the review, it's the best Smash bros. game to date. It's worth the money.

Sonic Adventure 28
Dec 31, 2018
Sonic Adventure 2 is a very fun experience that everyone should try out. The story, while being a little bit messy, gets the characters' personalities just perfect. Sonic acts like your typical 15 year old, cocky and more. Shadow acts and is a good villain. He has a very deep story arc that really makes me cae about him. Some people say he is edgy, and I disagree. In this game Shadow, at first, you might thing he is that, but when you discover why is he doing that stuff, you really get sad about him and most importantly, you care about him. It's not like Shadow The Hedgehog, where they made him an edgelord, and you basically don't care about him, but in this game, trust me, you will. The voice actors are really good. Ryan Drummond is literally the perfect Sonic, David Humphrey is my favorite Shadow, Jeniffer Douillard is a great Amy and more. Even though the sound mixing is really bad at times. This game is divided into 3 gameplay styles: Action stages, shooting stages and the hunting stages. Of course the action stages are evryone's favorite, icluding myself. They are so fun amd almost all of them never get old. The controls feel soooooo responsive, and almost all of them are pretty well designed. My favorite is City Escape. The shooting stages are a lot of fun too. Even though they may be not as well designed as the action stages, they still have a lot of charm. The controls are pretty rough, but I just love beating the hell outta things. The hunting stages are... ok. They really have a lot of flaws like only detecting one emerald at a time, the radar is too small or the stages are too big. But there's something that saves these stages from being really miserable. The controls. Both Knuckles and Rouge feel incredibly slick and good to control. Thanks to this, I have a lot of fun searching for the Master Emerald pieces. Don't get me wrong, at their worst, these stages are really meh but are their best, they are actually fun. The soundtrack is probably the best in any Sonic game, almost all tracks are simply perfect. The chao garden is just... Great. The story, ok, it may be very chessy at points but I love the story in this games. It just feels like an Adventure. In conclusion: This game is still fun to this day. Sure, some parts don't hold up after all these years, but to me, I really like this game. I consider it to be one of my favorite Sonic games.

Super Mario Odyssey10
Dec 31, 2018
Super Mario Odyssey is literally my favorite game of all time. It is really the successor to Super Mario 64 in almost every aspect. Like really, it does a lot of things so well. I've just finished the game (100%) for the second time and it's just that good. The story of this game is simple and straight to the point. It is very easy to follow and it's not just like your generic Mario game. Sure, Princess Peach got captured again, but this time it's different. I won't get to details because spoilers, and I want this review to be as helpful as possible. It may not be as good as Galaxy 1, but I do appreciate the amount of effort put into the story itself. Throughout the game you will go through a lot of kingdoms that have never been explored in any Mario game until now. Every kingdom gets the sense of freedom, platforming, fun... just right. Cappy is the new ally which will help you throughout the game. And he is just perfect. If F.L.U.D.D. from Mario Sunshine was good, Cappy is just perfect. The amount of stuff you get to do with him is incredible. Some people say he's broken, and I don't agree with them because 1 important reason. If the game wasn't designed around all these things he can do, sure, he would be broken, but... The game IS designed around Cappy himself. There a lot of places that Cappy can go over, and the game lterally congratulates you for doing those amazing jumps. And the capture mechanic is just... perfect. It is literally the evolution of power-ups in older Mario games, and I love it. The main collectables here are power moons. there are over 800 of these. Some are easy to get, and some are well hidden. Also there are these exclusive purple coins per kingdom that with them you can buy outfits, and also the fact coins DO matter in this game. I swear, this game i sooooo different from any Mario game, that is probably why I consider it my favorite game of all time. The graphics are pretty nice to look at and the music... phenomenal. Even though it's my fav game, it does have some flaws. The motion controls (that are incredibly well done btw) are very stiff to use in handheld mode, and also that you don't get a lot for 100% this game. So U reccomend you to 100% this game if you're a hardcore Mario fan or just simply a Completionist. There are a lot of stuff I haven't talked about but you get the point. Super Mario Odyssey is a must play. It is soooo different it's just soooo good. Hope you all try it because, believe me, it's worth 60 bucks.
