I loved this game! The story from beginning to end was so engrossing, with great dialogue and voice acting. The characters each had distinct and likable personalities that showed growth over the course of the game. The art style is one of my favorite aspects, showcased within a city that felt unique and vibrant. I was so enamored with each new locale that the story moves through. The music was very catchy, with a lot of variety that suited the mood well. There was alot of variety to the gameplay, shifting with each mystery. I couldn't put this game down, and am hopeful this series continues as there's a wonderful foundation to build on. The only negatives I had with the game are pretty minor. One, is that within the mystery labyrinths, there are times where you're just walking forward listening to dialogue. I didn't mind it personally, but it felt like a missed opportunity where there could have been some form of gameplay like sneaking or hiding from enemies. The second minor gripe is a technical one. I'm not huge into fps or resolution, but there were times that the character looked blurry/lower res. Neither problem though takes away that this has been one of my favorite games to date on Switch. Bring on a sequel!

This was exactly what I was looking for in an RPG! It reminded me of SNES era RPGs, in terms of graphics, music, and gameplay. The battles are snappy, with some really nice animation. The writing was very humorous at times, and the plot was very clear and easy to follow. The map and quest are large enough to feel epic, but not overwhelming. Every side quest feels meaningful and ties into the story or main characters in some way, which made me feel like I was never wasting my time completing them. The weak points for me would be that the character portraits don't seem as well done as the pixel art, and some of the more serious plot points don't seem as well written as the humorous portions. If you're looking for a fun, SNES style rpg with a nice story, definitely give this one a try!

This was such a fun game, and hit that sweet SNES rpg nostalgia spot. There was a lot I liked about the game, and just a few rough spots that brought the score down a bit.
The story was really interesting, and had some very witty dialogue. The main character was a joy, and the supporting cast was quite fun. I think the light hearted nature and funny dialogue is when the writing was at its strongest. There are serious plot points where the writing felt a little forced or cliche, but it was still overall a nice story.
The combat (make sure to increase the battle speed in settings) was another highlight. You see the turn order, and traits like speed actually play a big role, which I liked. Each character brings unique skills which makes battles strategic and sometimes tense. HP and MP restore after every battle, which made using skills and magic a lot of fun, rather than something to always conserve. It's never overwhelming or too difficult, and you should be able to get through the game without grinding.
The graphics and music both were beautiful and felt SNES era, which I liked quite a bit. If you don't have a fondness for that era though, your enjoyment may vary. My one gripe would be the character portraits, and dialogue profiles, which I felt didn't match the quality found elsewhere.
My last complaint would be that the exits for each area can be really hard to discern. Sometimes a spot that looks like an exit is not, and sometimes it was.
Other than those quibbles, I loved this game. It felt like an SNES rpg through and through, and the simplicity of it was just what I was looking for.
On a side note, I've just started this developer's next game, Rise of the Third Power, and ****'s a huge step up in every way so far, and it might become one of my favorite RPGs in recent memory if it keeps it up! Thanks Stegosoft!!!!!

I really don't get all the hate this game is getting. It runs just fine, and I haven't seen any glaring issues. I am not going to compare it to other platforms, as that seems irrelevant to me. I am enjoying the game, it's fun to play, has great music and graphics. Also, playing a game of this massive scope in the palm of your hands really is spectacular, and makes me hope we get more games like this on the Switch. If you enjoy adventure games with lots to explore, intriguing story, and is a joy to **** it.
