This was just perfect, masterfully done. Three movies in, and somehow it managed to feel just as fresh and gripping as the first one.

Dune: Part One10

Incredible - was screaming at the screen when it ended! Within the last few minutes I was literally saying to myself, I could watch five more hours of this (and please, God, don't let it end here). It's like I watched this amazing pilot to a tv show (that covered so much ground and got me so hooked) and then it ended. So yeah, I'm gonna need that sequel ASAP. In fact, I hope they make an entire franchise of this. I feel like I just got a taste of what this story/world can offer.

I genuinely wasn't gonna see this in theaters despite the stellar reviews (due to COVID concerns), but unexpectedly got a day off and decided, wth why not? And I was so pleasantly surprised and taken aback by how moved I **** just how much I loved it overall. The trailers had not gotten me at all. But the characters were perfect, the emotion hit me hard...I found myself tearing up inexplicably early on. It was just so beautifully made, felt so genuine and human. Honestly, and I mean this as a praise, it didn't feel like a Marvel movie (for the most part); it just felt like a good story. Definitely one of the better movies, I think, in the entire MCU. So well done to everyone involved

I almost didn't see this movie, but **** really profoundly touched my heart and moved me to tears. I was not expecting to love it this much. This is definitely one of the most thoughtful animated movies in recent memory!

A unique telling of a "superhero" story, full of tense moments, kept me intrigued and **** Joe Manganiello played the character perfectly!

I surprisingly enjoyed it (and really wanted to see the continuation of this story in future films or maybe a tv series). The actors were pretty good, the story simple but engaging...though I really think it would've benefited from having more time (maybe an eight-episode miniseries?). It kind of reminds me of the premise of The Promised Neverland, which I loved. But because the film ended the way it did, it kind of leaves you unsatisfied and just feeling like you finished the first chapter of a book that has no subsequent chapters.

**** insanity, especially the whole ending scene... just pure hellish horror; it felt like staring into an endless abyss of darkness and despair.

The Karate Kid Part III8

Overall, loved this trilogy. The first was perfection, I loved the second and liked this one. The only reason I saw these movies is because I saw the pilot of Cobra Kai (which I loved!) and afterwards found out it was based off of these films. There are so many great lessons and inspirational, moving moments in these films. I just can't believe I waited this long to get into this world. And RIP Pat Morita - you were an absolute legend.

Overall, I enjoyed it. The chariot race scene was really intense, Charlton Heston was definitely a presence, and the story wasn't too bad. A solid 8/10 from me.

Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker8
Dec 19, 2019
Was it the perfect conclusion I had dreamt it would be? Not quite. But that doesn't mean I didn't enjoy the ride and have fun with it. Overall, I liked the previous two films better, but this one had a lot of great, emotional moments. Kylo & Rey (Adam Driver & Daisy Ridley) were the standouts (their stories/arcs were the most interesting). But ultimately, it felt like we had too much to set up and wrap up in a little over two hours, which made the end result not as satisfying as it could've been.

Dunkirk10
Jul 21, 2017
Dunkirk was not a film in the conventional sense. For me it was a tense, realistic, riveting experience. Imagine yourself being transported into that climactic point of the Dunkirk evacuation. Sure, through traditional storytelling techniques in film, learn the backstories of characters, etc., but what you do learn and experience is the terror, the fear, the hope, the emotions these human beings felt -their struggle for survival. It's literally like Nolan shot footage of people back then doing what they would've been doing in those incredibly harrowing moments. This film celebrates those who risked everything while fighting for us, it shows us but a glimpse of what they went through and what they felt. It is without question the most realistic war film ever made (and, of course, is a must-see in IMAX). And finally, Tom Hardy's character and his whole story (every scene he was in till the end of the movie) was the biggest standout for me. Fionn Whitehead was brilliant too.

Wonder Woman10

Just got back from an IMAX 3D showing of Wonder Woman, which was truly wonderful. I give it a 10/10 (despite a few flaws imo) because it just really took me by surprise. I was wowed from start to finish. Right from the very beginning when you're introduced to her world, the paradise island of Themyscira, you can't stop soaking in the imagery, the beauty, the wonder, the power, the majesty, the lore. Seeing Diana as a sweet, eager child watching these warrior women train and fight, wanting to be like them from that young **** curiosity and desire to fight.. and when her mother tells her the story of the gods and their own history, you're completely captivated along with her. Throughout the film you grow with this character, you see her develop, learn, face the realities of the world, struggle with herself and the way she thought things were... Steve Trevor played brilliantly by Chris Pine is such a perfect costar for Gal Gadot - he works perfectly with her, and honestly it's their chemistry, relationship, charisma and overall story that makes this whole movie work so well. I just wanna see it **** now I'm incredibly excited to see more of Wonder Woman and this DC film universe. Oh, and make sure to give Patty Jenkins the reigns of the DCEU - she is a godsend!
