Bethesda disguised their next Elder Scrolls game as a Fallout. This game is just Hack'n'Shoot and has little role-playing in it. It's more of an action-adventure game... you explore, you kill and loot. You sometimes have puzzles and a bit of interaction with some npcs, but your choices in the conversations have little or no impact on the game. The choices are like Knight of the Old Republic's near the end where you choose your ending, no plot tree, just a boring Elder Scrolls linear story with three to four almost identical endings (like massacre these guys, or kill those guys, etc. No diplomacy, no bargaining, no let's be a happy family with everyone happy, etc.). Bethesda are hypocrites. This game ain't part of the Fallout series. If they would have called it like Bloodshed in the Commonwealth, an action-adventure game in the Fallout univverse, I would have given this game a 10 / 10, it would have been a kickass FPS with adventure elements on top of the building of bases. Speaking of building bases/hamlets, this aspect of the game is completly useless. Nothing happens with these communities aside from random "go kill X to protect Y" missions. No missions to improve the community, no internal strife, no seek out new colonists for this hamlet, nothing! Bethesda has missed the mark for sure. They call this game Fallout 4, but it has nothing of the series aside from the game world. At least the old company had the intelligence of naming their game another way when they tried something else when Fallout Tactics came out. They did not called it Fallout 3. They spent too much time and money on graphics and not enough on the game itself. And don't tell me and others that this was what the fans wanted, that is total BS! We want a game like Fallout 1, 2 or New Vegas, at the limit like Fallout 3, but that game was too linear and I won't play anymore. Unlike Fallout 1, 2 and New Vegas which I play each year once, sometimes all the way through to the end. PLEASE BETHESDA, GIVE BACK THE RIGHTS OF FALLOUT TO OBSIDIAN and the others who worked on the 2 first Fallouts! Please!

This game is great for many reasons. First, you get to build a hamlet and try to survive. Now depending on the difficulty level you have chosen at the start of the game, it can be easy to nearly impossible to do. So you can adapt the game to your expertise level with this game. Second, you play a bunch of survivors that serve a certain god that you represent in the end. You choose the deity at game start. Third, you get to craft a bunch of items the way you like. Nothing s premade. You want a sword that gives dexterity, you can. You want a weapon to give you magic, you can make one. Fourth, there are plenty of stories in the game as you progress. The adventuring is just nice. Fifth, combat and challenges are simple to understand but not always easy to win. Again, it dependso n the difficulty level you have chosen. Sixth, the replayability is very high as each game will be mostly different. Finaly, with the recent update they did, it brought the game to an all new level. Adding dangerous giants to the game is like ouch! It also adds an additionnal ending or two, making it even more replayable. Also, they improved the variety of the graphics, before this update, the graphics were quite repetitive, now they have an image for pretty much any kind of item you can craft, which is nice. I hope that these guys continue to build this game upward, they are doing an awesome job.

A good 2D space game. I think it is quite the underdog. I bet that in a couple of years people will look back at this game and say "Hey! How come it never really had any big success?" If the designer keep working on the game it will become a really great game. Trading should be more significant than just profit margins. Stations and sectors should improve when you bring needed commodities. A station that has all its needs fulfilled will be much more efficient, having a much better production rate, more ships under its control and the system would get additionnal structures built like refineries, shipyards, mines on huge asteroids, restoration of an old derelict space station, etc. Anyways, this game has lots of potential that is not being exploited yet but it is still nice. So imagine if they push this game to the limit! :)

A good game that upgrades the Alpha Centauri and bring it into the 21st century. But like all civilization games, it does have a limited replayability albeit a bigger one than the usual crap that has been released since the year 2000. Unlike other civilization games, computer controled factions do not declare war on you for no reason although there is one exception that I have noticed. Sometimes, at average difficulty level, a faction declares war on you for no reason and that faction is like a quarter of your size!!! makes no sense, maybe if he had allies, but he is alone. I had three times the number of cities he had and same for units. Why would the faction declare war on me? No point, he will be obliterated within 25 turns! So the AI needs some tweaking still. The game is also heavy for no reason. They have spent too much time on graphics and not enough on the game itself, resulting in questionable AI and AI decisions. Albeit this, it is still a good game, but try it first, do not buy blind, way too expensive for that. I suggest no paying more than 25$ for everything.

This game is NOT Warhammer Quest. It does not even respect the Warhammer universe! It feels like a dumdum diable but turn-based. It way too easy to be Warhammer Quest. What the hell is that crap about villages and towns selling magical items? Are we in Forgotten Realms or the Old World of Warhammer where magic is rare and dangerous? Rodeo Games didn't do any kind of research for this game and it shows. They ****! On top of all of that, the video game, even with all its puny dlcs that have barely something in them, does not even come close to 20% of the base game of Warhammer Quest where you have zillions of different monsters, and especially a good challenge as well as infinite replayability... This Rodeo Crap has not much replayability. Once you finish the game, there is really no point in playing. Oh and get this! Your backpack is rarity based. Really! You cannot carry more than 4 common, common and rare items! LOL What are these idiots at Rodeo Game smoking? Are we playing World of Warcraft or Warhammer Quest? Why did they screw up this really nice game of the 1990s?

This game is a decent hack'n'slasher with a decent story. There character building is good enough to continue playing without getting bored. They call this a role-playing game, but it's actually a hack'n'slasher power-gaming one with a linear story. I don't think you should pay any more than 10$ for the complete game.

Drakensang is a good comeback of the Realms of Arkania's game system. Although it might use the same system, the game mechanics are different. It is no longer a turn-based game. There are fewer skills and most are combat oriented. Magic is weaker but practically the same otherwise. I like character creation and I wished that all different cultures could have their own beginning. But you always start in the same spot and have the same storyline. Speaking of storyline, there is only one. It is a perfectly linear story that you cannot alter and there seems to be only one ending. Which makes this game an adventure-power gaming one instead of a role-playing one. I recommend buying it only if you can find it under 10$.

This is a nice casual game where you can colonize, do sea simple sea batttles, and trade... but most importantly have fun with friends. You can compete against other players, or just play with them. I like this game, it is calm, and there is no stress like some other multiplayer games or wooden ship battles ones. It is cheap too and has a good quality-price tag. I recommend this only if you want to play with your friends, the magic is in multiplayer... although I play often in single player mode.

This game is of moderate size, but is replayable. This is the kind of game that you are going to reinstall on your computer once per year and go through it all again. It is that pleasant. The unique graphics are quite good and the grim look of the game reflects how difficult and horrible wars are, especially today. If you are looking for a game you will play each year, this is your game. It is simple and not too difficult like some other survival game. Remember that this game is to show how horrible wars are in the modern world (in general too). You can also donate to a charity that takes care of children caught in wars on steam, which is a nice gesture and good idea on the part of the designers.

Good game, but I really hate those stupid pseudo real-time turn-based combat crap. Makes the game look really dumb. Aside from combat, which you cannot avoid at all in the game, you have a good story. It does not seem that your choices matters in the game. I've done like 25% of the game, and my choices have made no difference and had no impact on the story. There are some nice and unusual options in the options menu of this game. You can actually hide metagaming information, which increases replayability... well, it would increase it alot if the choices you take would change the story like in Age of Decadence, which is a much better game overall, especially in the storyline department (you live according to your choices. Went through half the game without fighting a thing, just talking, plotting and manipulating people into doing things for me.) Pillars of Eternity is not really worth the price tag it currently has, but it's worth paying 20-25$ though. More if combat was better.

A good sim. I think there is room for improvement. I would see truck parts from each company and some that are available to all, instead of having all parts available for all trucks. Makes it useless to have different companies. It's too evident which company to choose from since they have the best truck right off the bat. Why should we go for another company when there is this one? Also, each truck dealer shows the same truck many times, they're not different, they just got different upgrades. Each major truck dealer should have at least three REALLY different trucks, with one additional fully upgraded version of each. I don't see the point of buying a half upgraded truck. I either buy a cheap one with no upgrades or a fully upgraded one. Boy, was I disappointed when I saw that all the trucks each dealer was selling was just replicas of the first but with more upgrades and a different paini job. this **** Anothing thing that **** is that there are too many dumdum dlcs. I mean, who would waste money for paintjobs dlcs? Come on, are these guys beggars or something? Just put every darn paint job into one dlc, sell it 5$ and be done with it. The designers wastes too much time with stupid eyecandy stuff and not enough on expanding for real this game. There are only a very few true expansions, 2 or 3 I think, and the game was released in 2013! The AI is dumb, and for a sim, that's a really bad thing. For example, I check left and right before going onto a road at a crossroad, no one. I drive forward and turn, then boom! an idiot rams me at 100 km/h++. Man! Wasn't he watching the road? Later in another job, I do something else but I still watch for incoming vehicles, none to be seen, then BOOM! another idiot rams me. Ok, maybe this happens once or twice a year irl in a country, some idiot was sleeping on his steering wheel and bang, or some moron was tweeting or texting and then bang! But not every day! The recent updates have increased the realism of the game, trucks don't stop so easily now... but why didn't the designer do this since day one? It show how little they know of trucks to start with, but also shows that they care about their sim by releasing patches. The sim is still enjoyable, but since this game looks so serious, maybe the physics engine and depth of the game should be propotionate to its looks. Because all these designers do is improve the look of the game and not the game itself. :/ Anyway, I bought it for like 5$ and I think it's worth at least that... if they would stop releasing crappy paint job dlcs and include all of them in the base game, maybe I would a pay 6 or 7$. Once you are in the game (this year's version) you see that there is very little depth, very few truck parts that you have no idea what effect they have on your truck aside from the lights and engine which are obvious... even though I have upgrade my truck to the best engine from the lowest and saw little change, if non at all...

Dungeon Siege III

User ScoreGreywolf2001ca

At the beginning, Dungeon Siege was to be an anti-Diablo game. Everything that people did not like in Diablo, Dungeon Siege corrected. Meaning no loading screens, no progress only on level up, skill trees and all that crap. In Dungeon Siege 2, they implemented a basic skill tree that gave the characters extra stuff to do, but overall, it was just minor and did not drive the game like Diablo or World of Warcraft. DS 2 was not only that, but also VERY VERY LONG to finish, something that hack'n'slashers of today lack. It was also deep, you had lots of side quests which some weren't easy to do, so you could play another game from scratch just to try and do everything. In Dungeon Siege 3, well, it's basically a clone of Diablo and was made in a haste. Almost everything that was Dungeon Siege is gone, the only thing that remains is the no loading screen. Hell! I prefer playing Titan Quest which is better in my taste. If they wanted to make a Diablo clone, why didn't they choose a different name? Because it is surely not part of the Dungeon Siege series, it has nothing in common with the first two games pretty much like that new Gauntlet game that has absollutely nothing to do with the old games of that series. Why do you change a winning recipe anyways? Do you have the IQ of a doorknob or something? Only an idiot would change a winning recipe... especially if that new recipe is a copy of another. You lack talent and creativity and it is obvious!

It is one of the best games that came out since the year 2000 (Everything in the game is at the very least good). Anyone who is interested in role-playing games (not action adventure ones), should buy this one, or at the very least try it somehow. DO NOT BUY! Unless you want to pay 30$+ for 30 minutes of game play. The acting and writing is good though... although It is unfortunate that the actors get their names tarnished by this pathetic project. Graphics... well... some are good, like the landscape and some part of each characters, but their skin is ugly and inhuman (unless they are all walkers already? lol) and there is no liquid (like wine when poured, water, etc.). So poorly done most of it... probably was made in a haste to make a quick buck. Sounds and music, well, half of it comes from the series, so you are hugely lazy Telltales, I understand for the theme of Game of Thrones, but the rest could have been your own design. Depth and replayability is equal to ZERO! No matter what choices you take, it changes nothing. For example, whether you choose A or B to be your sentinel changes absolutely NOTHING. Whether you take the wiseman or the reckless warrior, the outcome is the same over and over again, whether you tell Ramsey to get screwed or lick is behind, the end result is the same.... so why bother making all those choices and have that "x will remember that"? especially when the character you control dies... who cares if he remembers if I'm dead! LOL Also, how does my character know he or she will remember this or that? Are my characters telepaths? Telltale is so stupid! Half a brain at most or no heart for work, a lazy bunch. Finally, what kind of idiot would pay 30$++ for a 30 min game? I wouldn't even pay 5$!!! I mean, you can play games that lasts for 20 hours for free on Kongregate and many other websites (some adventure games, action-adventure, and hack'n'slashers just to name a few). Telltale overestimates itself and is pretty presumptuous with their "games. Oh, and their "games" are not games, they are built as interactive fiction, and even there they fail miserably at doing such type of game. Since their Walking Dead thingy, I've always said they should stop making "games" and make animated movies, they would make more money. Face it, who would pay for a 30 min game when you can get 2 or 3 good movies for the same price or a great one (such a star wars (4-6), Avatar, Lord of the rings, Frozen, etc. just to name a few of different genres)? I'm boycotting Telltales because they're not worth a penny when it comes to game design, they're lazy, stupid and there to make a quick buck only! The 2 ou of 10 goes to the writing and the actors, the rest of the crew receives a big nothing, zero, nada, null!

A much better game than its predecessors. It is better made, the interface is similar but some tweaks have improved it greatly. The game itself is more pleasant to play and does not seem like a job like EU3 or the others, albeit being decent games too. EU4 is far from being as good as Crusader Kings 2 though. There are no family trees and you have no control over the succession of your monarchs. You say, this is going to remove a way to take over a realm... but no, it is much easier to conquer land in EU4 than in Crusader Kings 2, especially if you have a good military or great prestige and reputation. I bought it at a huge discount on steam, but I think it worth at least 20$, so if you see it at the price or lower, buy it if you like strategy games. :)

People are just superficial and think graphics are all what it takes to make a game. This one proves the contrary. It is tough, especially as a thief, but the game is good. An excellent story, but be careful to whom you talk to and what you say to people, it might get you into trouble!
