This is EXACTLY what I've been waiting from S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 all these years: massive open world, anomalies that look so epic now and some of them are not visible at all in the night, artifacts hunting requires true stalker skill, full voiced-over dialogues, tons of content to find and investigate, AI that makes feeling the game alive, beautiful and dangerous zone. And it finally feels like that this is The Chernobyl exclusion zone in Ukraine and not somewhere in USSR. Thanks, GSC, for this gem. That's a new legendary sequel to the legendary trilogy.

It's simply incredible! Thanks, GSC, for this gem. Let me be frank - when it was announced in 2018, I didn't expect much, but during the years I had more and more trust in this game and the people who stand behind it.I preordered the Ultimate Edition last year, and I will buy physical editions and PS5 version (if it's ever released). Thanks, GSC, for making this dream come true. Sure, the game needs more work and love now early after release, and there are tones of enemies spitting their poison for various reasons at it, but personally I'm satisfied with the game more than 100%. It's even more than I expected.I'm thankful to GSC who developed this game walking through real hell: even covid is nothing in comparison with war started by russian government (and supported by russian people), russians killed original stalker developer Volodymyr Yezhov and voice over actor Oleksiy Khilsky, they threatened developers of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 and stole early game build during hacking attack, and now they are trying to drop rank of the game on METACRITIC writing nonsense reviews. All of this should be never forgotten, as all of this is true. This game is more than a game now. That's a new legendary sequel to the legendary trilogy.

1st review - Apr 26, 2013 / Score - 1 I'll put it in a nutshell last year I rated the 10 out of 10 as the game was fresh, interesting etc. This year I can not rate this game higher than 1, as I see no difference, and what's more important see no soul in the game. It's a dump copypaste, sad. 2nd review - Feb 12. 2017 / Score - 10 I decided to give the game another chance (as a result of my replay of first DI and deep willingness to have more time in DI universe) in 3 years after my first try, and... Guys, the game is pretty epic, I was wrong and idk what I wanted to see in it at the time of my fist gameplay =) On my second play-through I noticed how many cool and new features they had added, and how greatly graphics had been improved (I replayed it just after Dead Island). The story is not bad, but gameplay itself was improved noticeably. I really loved it. Re-estimated from bottom to top =)

1st review - Oct 19, 2013 / Score - 7 Boring, unlogically created plot, boring main hero, boring missions. Boring, boring, boring, boring. And ending is also boring... I am really sad I've preordered this nonsense. The only thing I relly liked fighting/leveling system, but this game is really mediocre and I am pretty not sure I will replay it soon enough... 2nd review - Dec 25. 2015 / Score - 10 It took me 2 replays with half a year and 1.5 year periods to re-estimate the game completely =) Also I bought all DLCs =) Hangar DLC is good for those, who'd prefer to spend more time shooting without extra dialogues in The Bureau, and also it's quite a good prequel to the main story :) Game's replay-ability is fine (as you can see I had re-played it 3 times already, even that I didn't like it on my first round) :) Advice: replay games that left unsure impression after a long period of time, you may really change your mind =)

Update to my initial review: I bought the game from GoG and decided to replay it in 8 years (my 2012 review was based on my first play-through in 2008). And actually I changed my mind a little bit: 1. Yeap, the game still lacks nice storytelling (simple dialogues are not what makes you shiver in story-driven games like this). 2. Yeap, the game still can be a little boring for younger players asking for action (or old solid fans of Warrior Within-like PoP game) But what I've rediscovered for myself: 1. My initial gameplay was in russian and Elika sounds like a selfish **** in their voice-over (Prince voice-over is great), now I replayed the game in original and she seems to be quite a lovable girl with her reasons to be a little bit irritated. 2. The game suffered from its predecessors (SoT trilogy), I wanted it to be similar or even continue the trilogy story. That's why I was irritated by different references like: Farah-name, change-fate etc. But now I was able to separate the game and enjoy as a standalone title - and - I think Mechner would prefer the game over Warrior Within and Two Thrones, as it has much more of an orient-tale atmosphere and less violence. I add +2 to my previous score, I think 9 is the perfect score for the game, it would be 10 if it can be more actively story-driven. P.S. Graphics are so top notch that even in 8 years it looks pretty decent and better than some of modern titles.

Thx Techland, you did a great job. I expected the game to be one hell of a console trash ported to PC, but yet the game is graphically and its gameplay and story are very high. Sad for AMD ppl, but in the days the PC market is heavily ruled by Nvidia+Intel, so you had to be smarter while buying a new rig. PS. DLCs are really weak and useless.

The game is a great example of how the modern games should look like, it's not overpriced, the gameplay and story quite interesting and intriguing. You can play Public Test to decide if you want this game. The first thing that will take your breath away is graphics - its top notch. The optimization is also splendid. Music is charming and in its place. The game is 10 out of 10 without a discussion. PS. I've come across the game's ads occasionally in Steam while surfing through newly-released titles. A picture of robot gently holding a kitten in its hands attracted me at once, and here I'm here - with the downloaded and finished Public Test and 100% ready to buy the full game. I'm sure I won't ever regret! Awesome demo! Top notch and winner on all points.

The game is underestimated, BlackBox has never released a single bad NFS, actually they were the one and only to create smth really cool in NFS series. The review is written now, after 2 years as BB is gone, and NFS is developed by some useless Ghost guys (Rival is made in Criterion-like style - same stupid and boring driving, like in MW2012). NFSHP2010 was a sudden luck, and was successful only due to BBs help to Criterion, otherwise NFSHP2010 would be the same lame as NFSMW2012 etc etc. K, this was a lyrical intro, so - NFS Undercover, sure it has some stupid issues with unbalanced control (especially for XBOX gamepads, I luckily could fix it for myself with Pinnacle), some troubles with performance and graphics, still - for 2008 the game was a breakthrough, even now it looks better than some of the racing titles. The game has everything that we loved since Underground: cool OST, lots of cars and tuning. Tuning - only in Undercover it has the top notch level - you can spent hours creating different modifications for your car, and especially styling it. The movie-like style - awesome. Hot races - awesome. Feeling that you are a good undercover cop going deeper ans loosing your connections with the legal world - awesome! The game is underestimated mostly by simulator fans (the gamers cluster appeared after Pro Street, and for some reason decided that NFS should go only this way), no - NFS was always the hot non-legal racing game, go play Grid etc if you need simulator part. To sum up - lots of ppl are recalling original MW and awaiting for the game to come one day, but IMHO it already was. NFS Undercover - a little clumsy, but still a direct heritage of NFS MW: a) tuning - upgraded to top notch level; b) different modes of races; c) top notch movie-like story; d) ACTION!; e) lots of cars; f) sweet highway races; g) big open world; h) top notch OST etc etc etc. So sorry guys, but most of you missed the sequel of NFS MW, and I am happy that I understand this and love the game, coz in the end - the game is so so cool for 2008 and even now. I love it. THX Black Box!

This is the greatest lye of the last time: The game is a really expensive MMO, no offline will be ever given. Usually such games are given out for free, but not this one, correct PR and messing with "story" can distract you from understanding that you're actually buying MMO. Season Pass is nothing more than just a prepaid of cars that will be added in the future update, etc etc etc. The game's only unique feature - is "whole" USA :) LoL, not that whole as you could see. I bet that in a year the game will be given out for free, damn - it's already is, but now it's masked as "apologize offer" :) This games is nothing, I repeat NOTHING but a replica of NFS The World, but also a very bad replica I must admit. In NFSTW you can control your car, in The Crew - you are driving bricks sliding on oil. The graphics **** deeply, the game can and should be better, but nope - it looks like a game from 2007, the year when the dev company was created. Patches, patches, patches - funk yeah! Welcome to the Ubi world, the worst publisher ever, I think this year they've beaten the record, earlier only EA was such a looser. Servers are down - sure, all the time, why not? Can't log in? Sure. Eternal loading? Sure. Tell me why the hell there were so many betas and they ARE NOT prepared? :) LoL, nice eye-washing technique, Ubi, way-to-not-go! I am happy I was smart enough not to buy the game, as I knew it would ****, the betas never showed a thing that would attract me, and, unfortunately, thx to my friend who bought this **** and now tearing his hair off his head :) Due to his purchase I was able to have the review of the "final" release of The Crew :) It **** = 1. Farewell. PS. IT has never participated in the development of TDU2, that's why the game is much more better, a way much more better.

The last so much boring part was Brotherhood, and once again they decided to do this... Unfinished game without soul and creativity...

K, I'll put it in a nutshell: the game which is built on engine of 2007 and requires 6Gb RAM and 50Gb HDD (while console ports with same lame graphics require much less HDD and RAM) is nothing but trash and spit from developers in the CoD fans faces. After total fail of BO2 I thought they will try to do their best and create real game, but instead they started with lying (they promised new engine at the beginning, and than started to backstep) and finished with total trash instead of game. This is ridiculous! Several years ago I gave 10 for MW3, but now I can't give more than 0, as the game and fan's treatment is null!

I was going to buy this game for sure as I really liked BO1, but after the release before I got to a shop several my friends advised me not to buy this game as it's totally ****... I usually don't take anything on trust and usually recheck the info by my own, but after my bro said it ****, I decided not to buy and wait until the game fully patched. And several months after on Steam I had possibility to try the MP during weekends. I tried... Maaaaaa, what a facepalm: graphics **** totally, weapons ****, maps nothing special, and... already up with cheaters... Cool... I played 3hrs and deleted it without any doubt. After that I decided to look at SP, of course I had to pirate it, a there's no demo, and MP showed the game **** totally. SP I deleted even not finishing first level same graphics (OMG ITS 2012 already, even MW3 has better graphics than BO2 how can it be?!!), stupid uninteresting plot for 9-year old kids, control ****. So after all I'd like to thank my friends for warning, Steam for free ability to see there's nothing to lose even in MP. I really love CoD series since first MW (I had no possibility to play earlier CoD games), but BO2 is a big leap back to the 90s, the game **** totally. 0 score is max for the game.

I get across the game accidentally, while standing in queue in supermarket, they have a big screen near VIDEO department showing different trailers etc. There I saw the trailer of the game and I was curious the game looked very well, so I decided to try it. To put it in a nutshell the game is a masterpiece for me, I wasn't so happy and eager to play any game for last year after "Alan Wake". The plot is tasty and not trite heroes are all unique and humorous, graphic is top-notch (especially for game that needs less than 7Gb of HDdrive space some games take over 10 and are real trash devs of BD are magicians) the game looks adequate both on standard screen and HD, I really love the HUD style like in "the 3rd birthday" psp game. Not much games this days are this cool and worthwhile, and not much games this day get 10 out of 10, but this one should and would Thx devs for such a great game. PS. It's awful, but I could never find out about the game if no queue in supermarket and no trailer of the game on screen, this is all because of well-publicized titles of other games that now are usually is a waste, and such great games like BD stays in shadow for lots of ppl.

It's hard to say why, but for some reason with every new part of AC we are going farther from silent kills and that kind of actions, more stupid submissions (( It' sad. Truly speaking - no connection detected at all, yeapp, several known names and cases are mentioned, but it looks like a lame attempt to convince us in the connection with the well-known trilogy... Total facepalm. 2) acrobatics - simply pathetic, especially after you've played any of Assassin's Creed games.
