Super Smash Bros. Ultimate10
Dec 14, 2018
Announcing DLC character before the game release? It's the only bad thing about this game (online will improve with updates, so don't worry) but we get the best super smash bros so far. Starting with the story, the adventure game, having to unlock one by one all the players, the new feature of having spirits, it’s the best. Amazing character roster and more to come, great stages, fun gameplay for newcomers and old fans of the saga alike. It's great. Only thing that wasn't so great was world of light. A must have for Nintendo Switch owners. This has to be by far the greatest Nintendo game that I have ever played in my entire life.

Luigi's Mansion7
Oct 12, 2018
The same game you already know but on 3ds. If you really really loved the original, or feel you missed out on a bit of history not playing it at the time, then this game will have something for you. It's a basic port with a few issues, but Luigi's Mansion still remains a charming and enjoyable game.

Rise & Shine8
Sep 27, 2018
This is a game that does what it promises excellent. From start to finish, Rise & Shine references other popular video game series, especially The Legend of Zelda, Super Mario Bros., and Gears of War. The problem is about the duration of this game, really short. It is a shame that the gameplay and story can't match up to the wonderful soundtrack and art style. The smooth and colorful animations are adorable and desktop-background worthy, while the soundtrack is better than it has any right to be, with memorable orchestrated tracks including vocals and piano reminiscent of Halo and Gears of War fodder. Seriously, I love this soundtrack.

Octopath Traveler8
Jul 14, 2018
Ocotpath Traveler is a strong entry to the old-school J-RPG genre. Though its battle system and storytelling are unorthodoxThough its battle system and storytelling are unorthodox, Octopath Traveler is a beautiful game with one of the best soundtracks I’ve heard. The combat system rocks and will hopefully be used in more Square Enix games to come. There are plenty of good ideas in here. But the game is too grindy, too repetitive, too full of structural problems to be viewed as much more than another botched JRPG experiment Too bad Octopath Traveler's narrative simply serves us eight not-so-connected stories, otherwise it could have been an instant classic.

Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy9
Jun 29, 2018
Poor resolution ahead but the switch version is awesome! The portability inherent in the nature of the console - to put the marsupial in his pocket and play in his company on every occasion, all in all, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is a ruthlessly faithful recreation of some of the earliest successes in 3D platforming. Levels are slick, gorgeous to look at, and recreate the feel of the originals superbly. However, newcomers to the series may be put off by the steep difficulty spikes and little to no explanation of some of the finer mechanics. This is definitely worth a look if you're a fan of 3D platformers, but just as was the case back in the '90s, Crash isn't in quite the same league as Mario when it comes to playability, inventiveness and entertainment.

Fortnite8
Jun 12, 2018
Fortnite's polished gameplay and visual charm stands out from the hordes of other zombie games that have arrived in the past few years. To make matters worse, it feels too focused now it's held back by an invasive microtransaction model and design imperfections that keep it from being another trophy for Epic Games. Fortnite: Battle Royale is a great play for anyone.

Little Nightmares: Complete Edition9
May 18, 2018
Little Nightmares is a well created, superbly executed affair. I’d prefer it to be longer and I have to admit to not only being disappointed, but also shocked, at its short length. It is a game that will easily catch you if you pay too much attention to your surroundings, but will ironically let you escape its clutches time and time again should you not find yourself entirely caught up in the warped reality it presents. For the most part the puzzle and platform gameplay never gets too difficult and so the entire experience is perfectly accessible, enjoyable, and entirely worthwhile in my opinion. The presentation itself will pique your curiosity and then the events themselves, as they unfold, should firmly grasp it and drag you into the experience.

Outlast 210
Mar 28, 2018
Outlast 2 is a sequel that delivers. It's prettier, scarier, longer and more interesting. It does basically everything better than its predecessor: the levels are bigger, the enemies are smarter, and the story is more articulate. And yes, it's more terrifying, if that's even possible. The Switch version of Outlast 2 is not too different from the PC and console versions released last year.

Kirby Star Allies6
Mar 18, 2018
Lack of difficulty and bad level desing ahead but Kirby star allies is extremely well put together, with excellent visuals and dozens of enemies with unique and relatively complex powers. Speaking of the puzzles, like the rest of the game, they are incredibly simple and don’t take a whole lot of brain power to figure out. There was maybe once or twice where I was actually stumped as to what I was supposed to do, but I figured it out right afterward. Clearly the game is aimed at kids, but it’s not as if almost all Nintendo’s other games aren’t equally family-friendly… and considerably more entertaining. Kirby Star Allies is a brilliant Nintendo Switch debut for the pink puffball, bringing his accessible and lovable brand of side-scrolling platformer to a new console. I wouldn’t consider this game a must play game, but is certainly an enjoyable title if you just want to have a casual gaming experience or play a game with your children. Please remember: It's my personal opinion, GROW UP!

Batman: The Telltale Series7
Nov 16, 2017
Really enjoyed it. Batman: The Telltale Series is a fantastic game that rethinks the well-trodden universe of Bruce Wayne. Perhaps Batman: The Telltale Series’ greatest flaw is inconsistency; playing each episode separately can make some of the weaknesses of the lesser episodes, like technical issues and poor pacing, more apparent in a way that most other Telltale series do not suffer from. The Nintendo Switch version does lack a lot of the polish seen on other platforms.

Super Mario Odyssey8
Oct 28, 2017
Super Mario Odyssey is an absolute delight that will remind you why you started playing games in the first place. The adventure begins in the midst of a battle between Mario and Bowser that ends with – gasp! – the latter defeating the former and making off with Princess Peach, whom he intends to marry just as soon as he can gather everything he needs to put on a top notch wedding. In many ways, Super Mario Odyssey is the weirdest that Mario has been in years. The game takes place across more than a dozen Kingdoms, many of which feature some of the sorts of themes you might expect from a Mario title – ice and lava, forests and spooky levels full of darkness. The problem about this game, ITS TOO EASY for veteran players, the lack of challenge are everywhere and the Bowser's formula is kinda annoying yet. There's a constant back and forth between education and challenge as the game teaches its mechanics. At first, discovery is the game's reward to you – then challenge becomes its own reward as Odyssey tests that discovery. This is what Mario has done for 30 years more effectively than almost any other franchise or idea, and it's just as successful in Odyssey. It's present in the platforming sections, which avoid the mistakes of other games deftly (most of the time), but the purest articulations of that philosophy are in Odyssey's boss fights. But if that’s the worst complaint to be levelled at Super Mario Odyssey, it’s in pretty good shape. Indeed, one might go so far as to call it one of 2017’s essential gaming experiences. It will remind you of everything you’ve ever loved about Nintendo platforming games while simultaneously creating new Mario memories you’ll cherish for years to come. If you needed a reason beyond Zelda to invest in a Switch, this ought to suffice. Buy the game as quickly as you can!

Splatoon 29
Jul 28, 2017
A true sequel. Splatoon 2 is an incredible shooter that improves on the original in almost every single way. The main mantra of Splatoon 2 seems to be ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’, and this is fine. This new Switch offering is robust, full of content and fun. With an great competitive multiplayer suite, a fun take on the wave-based survival formula, and an imaginative single-player mode, Splatoon 2 is an excellent evolution.

Disney/Pixar Cars 3: Driven to Win5
Jul 6, 2017
Driven to Win is a racing game inspired around the story of the Cars 3 movie where lightning McQueen is start to feel a bit old… But the game just feels so slow, overall, that these flashy ways of driving just end up feeling obtrusive to an already frustrating game.

Darksiders: Warmastered Edition9
May 23, 2017
Darksiders: Warmastered Edition is a great remastered for one of the greatest games of the past generation. A masterful re-up with a great story, a beautifully grim world and exciting, fast-paced gameplay. And that price point makes it essential. I have never played any of the Darksiders games. Not for lack of wanting, to be honest I’m not really sure why I never played them. I had always heard good things about them, especially amongst the PSVG staff. I specifically made sure not to look at any past reviews or gameplay so I would have a fresh take.

Use Your Words6
May 14, 2017
If you enjoy party games and insanity, play this game. The game has occasional hang ups and graphical missteps on occasion. As I said earlier, the average player should expect to spend at least 15 minutes getting the hang of the games concepts and core principles of the game and that's mostly because of the seven house card rules. I'd highly recommend this game; it's easy to start playing - just grab a smart device and go to the website, and the rounds last 15-20 minutes, which makes it good for gathering some friends for some quick laughs. A quiz variant that does some interesting things, but doesn't provide enough content to keep the party going.

Little Nightmares9
May 1, 2017
Little Nightmares is short, but it's just bright enough, just safe enough to make me let my bad taste with Outlast 2. The game isn’t always successful at balancing some game design fundamentals. But when the lights went out, it left me remembering that, really, I'm just a small thing in a dangerous world myself...Also, that monsters with big long grabby arms are really, really creepy. Turn the volume up, turn the lights off, and let Little Nightmares keep you awake. what a gem **** this is!

I love getting scared. I relish these experiences.Several times, I had to stop playing completely, at one point forcing myself to take a nap in order to calm down. But, I have to be honest... there was so much initial promise, with a great premise and some truly stunning visuals, but the onslaught of everything we’ve seen a hundred times before in horror games with much smaller budgets than this left me feeling bored, frustrated, and even vaguely insulted. Truly a sequel in name alone. Outlast 2 pushed much further than most other entries in the genre, though.

Yoshi's Woolly World7
Apr 14, 2017
Personally I hate the idea to kill a wiiu exclusive, perhaps it didn't sell well. I hate that because it's similar with Mario Maker, they offer the same game mechanics but with LESS features because these games were designed for a home console. Although If you skipped Woolly World on Wii U, Poochy & Yoshi’s Woolly World offers what is essentially a straight port... don't bother if you already own the Wii U version

Apr 14, 2017
Mr. Shifty reminded me Hotline Miami so much but this game just doesn’t present enough new ideas to sustain itself. I think it’s worth a playthrough, but I don’t believe we’ll be talking about Mr. Shifty for years to come. Just as quickly as Shifty himself enters and leaves a room, so too does this game enter and exit your mind.

Although Super Bomberman R could have used a little more features and have devoted more time to his story mode, it's the perfect excuse to play with friends at any time. The possibilities of the console provide immediate multiplayer which can be both cooperative and competitive. And do not forget the online mode! A classic that comes stomping and promises hours of fun.

Tank Troopers, a third-person shooter where you play as a tank. The primary focus of the game is on local multiplayer, and fortunately Nintendo delivered a fun little experience ready to be enjoyed on 3DS if you can get some friends together. The absence of online mode can be considered as a lack of ambition. The good news is that even though Tank Troopers doesn't feature online play, it does feature very fun local multiplayer and super fun single-player modes. With all of the missions to master, Tanks and Troopers to collect, and good selection of modes to play with your friends, Tank Troopers is a great little game packed with content that would be a great addition to your 3DS library.

I'm impressed that Pokemon Sun and Moon truly take the franchise to new heights. This game is a great surprise BUT The introduction is a bit slow, especially for the hardcore pokemon fans. I think this game in my opinion is great for newcomers. The graphics are a bit better than the previous 3DS Pokemon games. The gameplay is still the same, they didn't change much with the core element in the game. It's a good Pokemon and great way to Celebrate it's 20th Anniversary.

Feb 12, 2017
Very funny game! But Paper Mario Color Splash might not reach the delirious highs of their previous tittles because it's not as RPG oriented as the first two games. Feb 3, 2017
Fire Emblem Heroes is the best way to introduce you to the saga itself. This games take the better from Fire Emblem: Combats, strategys, statistics, no permanent Death (This is good because you can think a better strategy) and more. It has decent story, really generic in my opinion but at least is good. Maybe the chibi art is not compatible with the series, in my opinion, but at least in portraits and conversations they look with the classic art style, I really like it. Of you course if you don't like this type of games please GET OUT, we don't need 'posers' and haters. It's a good year to be a Fire Emblem Fan. ****'s a good year to be a Fire Emblem Fan. Peace.
