Ten-Year-Old Tom: Season 19

Every bit as strong as creators previous hit HBO show The Life & Times of Tim. It’s an awesome collection of 15 minute absurd neurotic adult humor.

So I have to be the guy to leave a review of the final (and best) season of the most underappreciated comedy of the decade (along with Jim Jefferies' Legit). You do not have to enjoy baseball to find this show hilarious. How many comedies have taken place in a surrounding you aren't fond of, unfamiliar with, will never be or would rather not remember. It helps if you're smart; better yet as long as you think you are smart. Amanda Peet is very funny and possibly the sexiest 48 year old woman on the planet. I have no clue why she hasn't had any major roles for seemingly two decades take advantage of her comedic/dramatic/foxhood triple play.

An absolutely brilliant four hours. The creators did an excellent job at letting the students/inmates tell their own story through their actions and statements. They were almost as lucky to find such a diverse, brave and genuine collection of students as the inmates were to have this opportunity. This documentary is not “A Triumph!” or any other cliche in gold font from -USA Today or -KNMX CBS Santa Fe. The professors and administrators involved are clearly sincere when they describe the industry of education as a racket. The I incarcerated students give the professors the opportunity to witness a level of growth and transformation absent from most classrooms. The film does not come off as a work of advocacy and certainly does not shy away from detailing impact the crimes have had on victims, families and themselves. Screw it; the entire fourth fourth hour is **** ‘Triumphant!’ I feel dirty. Glad I trusted PBS based on their track record of documentary screenings and Frontline.

Watchmen (2019): Season 110

So far, so brilliant. As a fan of the work of Trent Reznor I really only tuned in to check out the score; I am pleasantly surprised with how great the show is as a whole. I tend to dislike most of anything involving superheroes, fantasy or sci-fi. There are some exceptions. The film 28 Days Later is great despite the **** Game of Thrones, it’s not you, it’s me. The cast is awesome and I don’t mind having my imagination hang ups rested. The Bullock film Birdbox was bundles of **** and also featured a score by Reznor/Ross of Nine Inch Nails. I have no clue why I currently see a score of 5.6. It must be a purist issue; though this isn’t set in the same period as the graphic novel. If this is a 5-6 I can’t imagine what the same reviewers think of everything else streamed or broadcast at the moment.
