The Amazing Spider-Man7
Dec 3, 2013
Missing content (Iguna level, Blimp missions), no inclusion of DLC content. That alone is iffy. A lot of framerate drops in the open world, and in later levels as well. Insane drops during the car chase missions. Generally ugly, aside from Spider-Man who looks really good. Overall, I enjoyed the game though and got the platinum a 2nd time (got it on PS3 too). It's impressive to have another open world game on PS Vita. And the controls are perfect. I highly suggest waiting for $20 or less before buying it though. It is not worth getting a paired back (visually, performance, and content) port for $40 a year later. Especially since there's no sign of the sequel coming to PS Vita.

A great game made even better! The graphics look so crisp in clean in 1080p with 60FPS. There appears to be a better draw distance, more grass, better AA and the controls are better than they were on PS3. And best of all, you don't even need to buy it again if you already did on PS3!

KNACK's Quest7

This is a solid match-3 game. The largest draw, apart from a free match-3 game without ads, is that it gives you items for the PS4 game Knack. The only real problem with this game, is endless mode. You have to play story to unlock it, which is a bit tedious by comparison. There are far too many transitions in endless mode. If they'd remove some of those, then it'd be perfect. Still fun though. The game adds two 'special' moves to the match-3 formula, themed after moves from the PS4 game. You match sun gems and then fill up meters you can tap a full meter to then connect matching items that are touch (diagonal works as well) or you can swipe down when you've filled all 3 of them and you can pick one type to clear.

Not so much a "game" as a "watch a cat" AR app. There's not much to do with this application. Uber easy trophies that are handed to you within minutes of "playing".

It's okay, but the physics are really what I have an issue with. They didn't update the platforming at all, or so it seems (I didn't play the original). The game looks lovely and is still pretty fun to play, but the physics of the platforming feel so "old" and not in a good way. Had they altered the physics a bit, it would easily be a great game.

BreakQuest: Extra Evolution7

Pretty fun game, my only issue is the visuals don't look as crisp as I would expect from a native PS Vita port. Apart from that, this is a great free game. You're limited on balls, you can reconstruct some if you catch pieces during playtime. But you can't really get those if you run out of balls. You can buy balls in numbers, or essentially buy the game at $8 (unlimited balls). If you're good at these games, you can totally get all the trophies and beat the entire game without buying anything. 24 hour playtime trophy aside, the trophies are relatively doable without much effort if you're into trophies.

Fruit Ninja8

Price will go down, it'll go on sale, it'll be offered to PS+ members (potentially). You shouldn't rate a game based on price, something that can change. Never mind the value **** is different per person. (and the game has already dropped in price by $3... since it came out) I haven't played it, due to price, but suspect it's exactly the Fruit Ninja you expect... but on Vita.

DS Port. Results in a terrible PS Vita game. Cutscenes are so muddy and terrible you can barely tell what's going on. The game is ugly to say the least, the controls are weird because of the lack of a second screen and little to no thought put into how to translate that aspect (picking spells) onto Vita. If you're expecting a console experience from this, don't. It's the handheld experience. The lowest common denominator determined this game's fate. The developers should be ashamed to try and sell Vita owners a DS port.
