Star Wars: The Old Republic1
Dec 21, 2011
If you hate yourself you owe it to yourself to play this mess of an MMO. Makes FF14 seem like the best game in years. From instanced EVERYTHING to combat that feels like it's been ripped right out of WoW. The game is creatively bankrupt much like everything else Bioware has placed their hands on in the last few years. A developer that is utterly stagnant of imagination or innovation.

Sonic Generations9

Biggest surprise of the year for PC players I believe. Such an exceptional port by an unknown developer that it was outsourced to. Now let's see if Volition can match it with the PC port of Saints Row 3.

Samurai Warriors Chronicles10
Apr 2, 2011
Surpasses both SSF4 and Ridge Racer in the graphics department, Samurai Warriors is an excellent addition to the Musou series, with features that make it stand out from the rest. Unfortunately reviewers don't like using character combos and blame the games for the fact they keep mashing one button. Not the best use of 3D on the system, but some of the cutscenes will leave your mouth open.

Rayman 2: The Great Escape10
Mar 25, 2011
Not much to say beyond this is the same Rayman 2 we all know and love. Personally i believe it has aged far better than the likes of Mario 64 and Banjo Kazooie, but I suppose that is merely my own opinion. Whether it is the definitive version of Rayman 2 is debatable. With graphics on par with Rayman Revolution on the PS2 minus the new features Revolution added. It is up to you whether you prefer more features or the ability to play Rayman 2 in what is an adequate use of 3D. All in all this is easily still my favorite platformer from 3 generations ago and it has aged a lot better than some critics may think.

Dragon Age II0
Mar 9, 2011
Biggest disappointment of the year. From the Mass Effect copy pasted dialogue wheel, to the terrible graphics regardless if the settings are set on the highest possible settings. Combat that has devolved into nothing but a button mash festival irregardless of the difficulty settings. Dragon Age 2 was an experiment, a failed one at that. Bioware was clearly testing to see if Mass Effect's 2 lazy, casual formulaic gameplay style would translate well into the Dragon Age universe. ME2 has its fans amongst sad lonely people with no lives and Gears of War fanboys. Sadly Dragon Age fans aren't that stupid. Though we were stupid enough to purchase Dragon Age 2.
