Dino Frontier7

I had a lot of fun with this game. It's got some slight silly in it and the graphics, though cartoonish, are pretty good. The game play mechanics are pretty solid with only 1 or 2 bugs, which don't require leaving the game to fix. My biggest complaint is that it's short. I took my time and leveling all the building all the way up in the settlement and the mine. I didn't with the settlers. The highest was 9, most of the others were 8. All that took me around 13 ish hours. I also don't see much replay value in it. I wish there were more than just the 1 settlement to work on (the mine doesn't count in my opinion.) Adding more maps to the game would increase the longevity. Adding some challenges in settlement would help as well. The dinos wandering don't give much challenge as they don't normally go near the settlement. The bandit raids are really easy. Especially once you get a couple dinos on your side. It gives a nice taste of what something like Command and Conquer could be on VR though. If you can pick it up around half price I'd jump on it. It isn't worth completely ignoring, as I said it's fun. It's just short.

Driveclub VR7

I played this title, and liked it, without VR and with my steering wheel and pedal setup. So I knew a little of what to expect on VR with it. I like it in VR, the only downside is the graphics are bad in VR (PS Pro.) For me it's almost to the point that I can't tell what is in the side and rear view mirrors. It was more immersive in VR than compared to flat. Being actually in the car and able to look around is nice. The details in the car are pretty good. Everything outside is not. If you enjoyed DriveClub on flat, you'll still enjoy it on VR. Just be warned that the graphics are way lower.

I'll do this a title at a time: London Heist: Easily the best game on the disc. The story actually took me a few times to complete all the way. I kept getting killed in parts and it took me a few tries to get it down. You then have the shooting range after that you can practice on. You can even get ranked against others across the globe. The game was fun, though short. I didn't even mind being on rails for this one, and I usually hate that. Scavengers Odyssey: This one was pretty fun and it left me wanting more. The controls were pretty good and piloting the mech was nice. The environment was great. Be prepared though. This one was nausea inducing for me. I closed my eyes during the transition jumps from area to area. Ocean Descent: It was a good showcase of what VR could bring. Being able to go down and look into the ocean as you descend was pretty neat. Being able to go on different dives would have been nice. The story descent was fun and is a good experience to set someone on that doesn't know what is awaiting them at the bottom. VR Luge: It was aweful. Lots of clipping into the luge and the controls weren't all that great. I don't know if it was a tracking issue or something in the game itself but it seemed as though the luge either didn't want to turn or it would turn wildly. There seemed to be no in between. I completed 2 courses and that was it. I had no motivation to do any more. Danger Ball: This one was kind of entertaining. The game tracks your head movement to move your paddle and you play essentially VR pong. The enemies have different abilities that can cause the ball to do different things, which adds to the difficulty of the game. They're also never in the same order play through to play through. I only ended up getting to the 5th opponent. This would probably be even more fun online against someone else. Overall it's a decent showcase of the VR play and world. It is more of a demo disc than anything though. If you can pick it up for around 10 - 15$, do it.

I was not expecting a lot out of this game when I first tried it at a friends house. It seemed like it was a quick forgettable title. I was very wrong. You quickly get lost in the game going through the world and exploring a bit, though I wish the areas had a bit more to explore. Game play is pretty fun, and in some areas you can get overwhelmed by enemies if you aren't careful or aren't switching weapons. Some of the boss fights especially can get difficult. There are quite a few areas though that seem sparse. Once you learn where some of the enemies come from, as in what type of terrain features, you can quickly learn to expect them and shoot before they've had a chance to do anything. The length was pretty decent. I didn't have my VR legs yet on the first couple play through sessions, so it ended up taking me around a week of gradually longer play times to beat it. I kind of wish it was a bit longer, but compared to many of the other VR titles, it is long. The graphics were pretty good and the UI was pretty solid as well. I liked the story and finding bits of it to complete and move the story on the way was a nice touch. Movement was pretty well done with the aim controller. I never really had any moments where I was fumbling and everything was explained and laid out well enough of the aim to make sense and be easily usable in more active situations. I gave it 8 because I wish it was a bit longer, I ran into many spots of sparse enemies which combined with being hallway shooter (semi confined space and can't really explore a whole lot) made the game feel even shorter. However I do feel like the game is one you definitely should pick up.

I played it through on PC a few times and it was ok. VR brings it to a whole new level though. Even the lower graphics are not enough to dissuade me from wanting to play. Once you're in the game and immersed in the world, the lower graphics quickly melt away to an excellent immersive experience! I have at least 80 hours (probably much more) into the game and I'm still getting blown away by the beauty of the world. The controls are a bit weird to get accustomed to at first with the move controllers. However once you get them down, movement is very intuitive and becomes second nature. This took around 3 to 4 hours of play time for me. Using weapons is pretty fun. Bow and arrow, once you get it down, is really satisfying and you end up feeling as though you're actually shooting one. The best weapons so far though are the werewolf pimp slap claws. It's extremely fun running around and a werewolf and pimp slapping everyone to death. Casting is also pretty fun, but I still prefer weapon and the werewolf pimp slap. The only real drawback to the game for me are the menus. They were a bit clumsy, even when you get accustomed to the moves. That said, I'm not sure what the best way to implement them to be more fluid would have been. There are a lot of menu and sub menu items in the game. Other games in PSVR seem to not have nearly as many issues, though many don't have the sheer amount of menu items. It would have maybe helped in things like enchanting or alchemy to be able to select to make something more than once instead of having to select all the items again and again. Overall it is deeply immersive and by far one of the longest and largest titles on PSVR. If you have PSVR it is a must own to me.
