Absolutely superb! It took the whole Spirit of the 1st and improved everything. Graphics and physics are almost beyond this gen. It is a breeze among so many repetitive games where only Fromsoftware is able to shine.

Perfection. Not simply another FromSoftware msterpiece, this goes farther and beyond

First I want to stress that I am not a Sony fanboy nor a hater, nor a troll. I am 40s and I have dozen of years playing vgames. From Lemmings, flashback, prince of persia and Monkey Islands saga, to CP2077, Doom, Souls saga and COD Vanguard (nowadays). I love dead cells games alike (Rogue Legacy, Noita, etc) This game is a pure Gem. Probably most underrated game of the year. It is extremely enjoyable and fun. The story is really good and the pace is just super. I expected something much more simple and I actually found out a master piece. The game is really hard in terms of what to do and how to advance. Enemies are not easy peasy however you will find some assistances in settings to be turned On in case you are struggling so much. About controls are delightful, pixel art is stunning and OST is just amazing (I am musician as hobby and I am thinking of turning 8bits style into real instruments making a cover with my guitars and drums :-D ) The game has been polished so nicely that after 30hours (so far) I couldn't find a single flaw. Nor glitches nor stutters, nothing. I would LOVE to see more material from this developer as well as a second part of this (personal opinion) candidate to GOTY.

Terrible how the background does stutter while you move forth. Makes me fill dizzy after 5mins. Wastw of money. It was so simple to do it the correct way

This game is a masterpiece for roguelikes lovers! The engine is really clean and fair with your movements and your enemies'. Good FX on elements and flawless fps. The mechanic could seem simple and repetitive, but once you move on and dig a bit into the procedural scenarios and and take a look to the system created for progressing, then you will do nothing but love it. It has a bit from dead cells, a bit from rogue legacy and a bit from souls series. What else can we ask for? Highly recommended!!

First of all I must convey that I am a Souls saga fan. I extremely enjoyed each game of FROM Software. This newest game is quite enjoyable but annoying. It has beautiful graphics: I specially loved old women path in the forest, all over the roofs. Spectacular!! But it is a complete non sense in story and the drop make the game stupid comparing the previous games. I know it is not a souls game but... really? all drop is abusing repetitive. It's a loop of drop every time you go farming. No secrets available!! no secret doors.. no mimics.. no secret paths or npcs!! all NPCs are necessary for nothing! you could kill everyone (I rectify, there are some of them that are un-killable) It is extremely short and the bosses are ultra easy, and no, I dont play 12h in a row to get easy mode. They kill you yes, some of them. Even 5 or 6 times maybe the worst but that's no the FROM Software game feeling that I was used to reach. I am very dissapointed. The game was adapted for the comercial public and for the IDONTKNOWHOWTOREACHTHATPOINTORDOTHATTHING players... its a pitty. However the game is great so there goes my 8. Notable, no further.
