Short and sweet, took me two hours to beat. I honestly liked it way more than I ever liked Gone Home. Game hovered around a 7 or 8, landed on 8 in the end (almost took off because it is a short game). I particularly loved replaying conversations in the rooms and following characters around to hear every word. I loved the ending.

Great game with touching vignettes that will make you gasp. Wonderful graphical detail to the world, such as the home. Disliked the ending.

Very cool and depressing millennial simulator. Three of the four main characters in this game are some of the best written characters in video games.

I loved it. Art is top-notch, story is interesting, and actual game-play is kind of fun. The lore is there. Music and sound effects are great as well. This is the first game I played by this studio and it makes me excited to check out their back catalog.

The Witness10
Jul 14, 2017
An intricate puzzle game filled to the brim with challenges both obvious and, at first, nearly inscrutable. The Witness certainly feels like the result of over seven years of hard work; never have I played a game with a world crafted with such painstaking attention to every detail of its world. The puzzles are hard, and become even harder, but with increased difficulty comes increased satisfaction after the player solves a particularly challenging series. This game has such a classical approach to design that feels older than it is, and if there were a "video game museum" I imagine that The Witness would sit comfortably at the end of the hall, establishing itself as a hallmark in game design. It is a game not solely, but primarily centered on revelation and discovery. The Witness was my favorite game of 2016.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild10

Breath of the Wild is far and away one of the best games I have ever played. The enormous world packed with hidden secrets and coves, the interlocking systems that play off each other in interesting ways in and out of combat, and the the astoundingly high level of polish makes BoTW an instant classic, a titan **** that all future open-world games will be measured up to.
