Star Wars Jedi: Survivor8

Huge improvement over the first game. Wish there were more planets to explore, but the combat is fun and story is alright. You can always count on Star Wars fans to be the absolute worst on the internet, hence all the review bombs.

Can't compete with the brilliance of the Arkham games in terms of story or voice acting, but this is an ok game worth picking up when it's on a deep discount. This could have been a great game but there's so many weird camera angles and swinging around the city is clunky and makes you miss the Arkham games or Spiderman which are beautiful. Running around the city fighting criminals is actually kind of fun, but sadly gets repetitive. I'd think if they did a sequel and fixed some of the issues this could be a great game.

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings5
Apr 25, 2012
Witcher 2 is one powerfully overrated game. Skyrim, Mass Effect 3, even Kingdoms of Amular are far more worthy of your money. I always thought I was an RPG junky, but this game I just can't get behind. I am console only gamer, so maybe if I sat around and played computer games, and then bought this for my console I'd be blown away. As someone completely new to the game, I can't get behind this game. The biggest flaw is the clunky-ness of the menus. Dreadful. Moving around is a bit of a chore too. Storywise I wanted to like Witcher 2, but whenever things start to get interesting you're once again stuck slogging through a very uninteresting world, that's not very pretty and difficult to navigate. Skip this game.

Mass Effect 38

This is a great game. Visually it is a masterpiece. Content wise I too was disappointed with how short the game is and that includes release date DLC--which is a complete and utter rip off move. ME2 was by far the most fun of the series, but ME3 still delivers. And despite what the whiners say, the ending was a satisfactory conclusion to a great trilogy. My only real complaint is that the game is too short. ME2 felt much more open for exploration, whereas ME3 is much more limited and closed off. I also wish there was more continuity between ME2 and ME3. All those characters I devoted so much time into building relationships with were mostly chucked within the first 10 hours of ME3. Ultimately though, I wish more games were like Mass Effect 3. Except for the release day DLC. That's a total dbag move.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning6
Feb 13, 2012
If you combined the most recent Fable with the first of the Knights of the Old Republic, and took out all the engaging story elements of the latter, you'd fave Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. As an RPG junky, I'll probably play the heck out of this game until Mass Effect 3 comes out, but if you're not as into this genre as I am, this game is not for you. Most disappointing are the character interaction scenes. They are reminiscent of something on the original Xbox. Just not impressive. There is a kernel **** game here, but it feels rushed. Only recommended for serious RPG junkies who've already finished Skyrim. Otherwise, just skip.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim10

Simply an amazing game. Skyrim is clearly not for everybody. If you don't have a lot of time for games, this is not a great choice. This game takes time and patience to get good. If you're a gamer who is expecting fast and easy mindless fun, go play Call of Duty, because this game will not please you either. But if you're looking for a truly immersive game, full of choices and a huge open world for exploration you'll love this game.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 37
Nov 13, 2011
Still the best first person shooter multiplayer on the market. Still one of the worst campaign modes of any game. If you liked the other games in the Call of Duty series, you'll like MW3. In my opinion the maps are getting a bit repetitive. It feels like they're taking bits and pieces from older maps and combining them. It's fun, but it's not as innovative as the previous chapters.

Batman: Arkham City - Nightwing Bundle Pack5
Nov 3, 2011
While it's neat to have the extra content, I feel like they majorly cheaped out on Nightwing. He looks cool, and also getting the animated show's version of Nightwing is pretty sweet, but how come Nightwing has no voice? All the great voice acting in this game and Nightwing just stands there grinning like a dope. Even a serious Batman fan like myself was disappointed. This download is probably only worth it for serious dorks like me who want as much Batman content as they can possibly get--and even I still think it was overpriced.

Batman: Arkham City10

What's not to love about this game? It's Batman meets Assassin's Creed. A huge improvement over the last game, and the last game was pretty good. My only complaint is that I wish they let you explore the sandbox environment a little more before pushing certain elements of the main storyline. If you like Batman, video games and fun, buy this game.

Best game of the year so far. I never played the original and was worried that I may not get this game because of that, but it really makes no difference if you've played the original or not, this game is just plain fun. It has a Mass Effect vibe which is pretty cool. Definitely worth getting. My only complaint is that hacking is just not fun. Why do video game developers think people want to hack things in video games? Give me a break guys. I play games for the story and to crack skulls. Pick this game up and you'll have a good time.

Dragon Age II7
Mar 21, 2011
This game is deeply flawed, yet I've played it for so many hours and really do enjoy it. First, the problems. There are some major glitches, especially on the Wayward Son mission. You are best to save often if you don't want to lose hours of play like I did. Second, the DA2 guys packed a lot of story in here, but didn't pack in a lot of maps so, sorry to say it does get a bit repetitive. I'm glad they didn't skimp on story. I guess I'd rather have to keep going back to the same caves and beaches than have less story, but it can get stale. The voice acting was much improved over the first DA2 and the main character is a far better voice actor than the scrubs they got to do Mass Effect. Game play and graphics are also much improved over DA1, though they did dumb it down so people who don't like collecting herbs or enchanting weapons can still have fun with it. At the end of the day this is a solid game that's provided me with hours of enjoyment. It's not another Oblivion, sadly I don't think we'll ever see that again, and it's not even another Mass Effect or KOTOR. It is however a pretty fun game for fans of the genre who don't mind frequent saves and a glitch here or there.

Call of Duty: Black Ops8
Nov 10, 2010
Hey let's face it, a lot of people have an axe to grind against either Treyarch or the Call of Duty franchise for reasons nobody can explain. I found this to be a fun first person shooter. Was it as ground breaking as the first Modern Warfare? Not in the least. Is it buggy and the worst game ever? Not even close. They've revamped the multiplayer mode, increased the zombies and actually created a campaign mode that doesn't stink. That alone is an accomplishment. It doesn't deserve a 9 or 10, but it's a solid 8. If you're a COD fan you won't be disappointed. If you're looking for a videogame that's going to transcend the genre and become art, look elsewhere, like at a book maybe.

I rarely if ever buy a sports game, but as a Bulls fan how could I resist the first game to give us a real Michael Jordan. And I was not disapointed. The Jordan Mode alone is worth the price of admission. Getting to match the 96 Bulls against the LeBron lead Heat will forever answer your questions as to the best team ever. This is a must buy for Bulls fans, a must buy for basketball fans, and one of the funnest games I've played all year.

Halo: Reach8
Nov 2, 2010
After Call of Duty took over the third person shooter platform it seemed there was no further need for the Halo franchise, but Halo Reach actually delivers a pleasant alternative from the excessive realism of the Call of Duty series. While the main mission doesn't hold a candle to the first three Halos in terms of storyline, it's still an enjoyable, if not somewhat nostalgic return to the Halo universe. This game is all about the multiplayer. I gotta give Bungee credit for improving the multiplayer and truly making it a treat. If you're ready from a break from Call of Duty, this is the shooter for you.

If you liked Fall Out 3, you will love this game. While I do think the story suffers in comparison to Fall Out 3, Bethesda has outdown itself with a huge map to explore. Seemingly every character has a side quest for your pleasure. Hands down a must buy for RPG fans. Many people complain about bugs, but there have been some patches since the release date, and I have seen few problems. This game is great.
