Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown5
Jan 21, 2019
Ace combat should be about the fun factor and flying. AC7 is not. Its grinding, wasting hrs and hrs on try and error. And that kills the fun altogether. The game is absolutely gorgeous, and the music is awesome. But the missions and game itself lacks a lot. A mission planner, arcade mode, possibility to edit the planes ordinance. Its kind of silly that all the Russian planes have different weapons, just like the Nato similarities. When most planes in the real world are able to carry most of its weapons. The idea with a timer is totally horrible. And whats up with all these braindead wingmen that never ever give you a real hand. Just talk trash! Sure why not give the real "aces" a challenge and possibility to change most of the settings if they want to. I just want to fly around, blow some stuff up and have fun. This is not it!

I bought this game on a sale and got it for a few bux. Im not sure i would have bought it for the full price. But all in all its a great game. Sure its challenging. But its fun. And you can save your progress so you can return when you feel the need or have the time. The graphics are more the decent. But i don't know what happened to the sound. It sounds like mono or lesser quality in some cases. The action is 100%, nothing for a casual gamer as it will serve your head on a platter if you loose your focus. It is repetitive and you will return to old levels to search for more or better loot. This game does not deserve the bad rep that it has gotten. I can think of other games that definitely does not deserve their really high scores because of the hype instead of content that matters. This is a must buy especially if you find it cheap!

Dark Souls III10

The soul series are my real favorites when it comes to bash & grind games. It has all the ingredients to be the best of the bunch. The graphics are superb and the action makes you sweat and gasp for air. The last time i felt so much excitement for a game was when i played through the Resident evil series. Or when the Zombie showed up in RE1 for the first time. That was a long time ago. I have a lot of games and a spend a lot of money on games as well. Im no smoker or drinker. I don't fancy cars or other luxury items as well. My drug is games and movies pure and simple. So i would see myself as a casual / hardcore gamer and movie-fan. I know what i want in a game when im looking to purchase. And there are many that i would not have bought if there was a demo at hand. But if you have played Demon Souls, Dark Souls, I or II, or even Bloodborne. You will NOT be disappointed with DS III. Its right on par with those before. And only games from Bandai / Namco can challenge them!. If you want hours of excitement, feeling strained and fatigued. This game is for you. 10/10

I love space sims or shooters. And Everspace made me curious how good of a shooter it could be both in the sim, action and not to mention loot department. And I did not get disappointed. However. This is a so called Rouge-elite-esque game. So that excitement did not last very long. Its a beautiful shooter with great graphics and fluidity. However i am a completion-ist as i love to explore and upgrade and buy stuff. And in Everspace you can do it all. But when you die its back to square one. It's a real shame. I can't imagine how developers want to tank their own games so hard. Cause if i were in their shoes i would think of the other guys as well. Sure go "Rouge" if you want but let the other guys have their fun as well. Give us a exploration or action mode. Where you can buy and upgrade and all that stuff remain if you die. Disable achievements if you want. I do not care. That would keep the lifespan of the game so much longer. Just be able to kick of an hour or two. Blasting every ship in the sector and having fun. "Rouge" esque games are for the kind of person that have all the patience or time in the world. Not my cup of tea at all! And no No mans sky is nothing like this. This game has awesome action where it counts.

Those people who claim this game to be in the same category as the Souls series are clearly mistaken. That's why is bought **** are nothing like ****? well you get to keep your loot in DS for one. Sure you die a lot. But all the buffs and upgrades you get to keep on the easier difficulties. Just like the gear you find along the way. This gives you the incentive to replay over and over again. DC does not. Personally i don't mind the grinding part. What i don't like is that i don't get to keep anything that i find if i die. And does a small game like this even need loading time? Com on!. The souls games are one of its kind. Nothing will ever be like them. And when it comes to DC its ok at best. Personally i regret buying it. They should have made it possible to play a demo before you purchase. To me this game just feel like you are rewarded for speedruns not for time spent on exploration. The developers should have taken the guys that love spending time exploring every nook and cranny into account as well. Made it possible to choose like a exploration-mode. Cause i don't care about achievements or timed records. No i've spent 20$ on this game so naturally i want the fun part as **** Im certain this was all in vein cause i'm not going to finish it as it's not really that much fun. I've finished all the souls games and Bloodborne as well. Those games are worth every penny. One more thing that i feel is important with my time is that i can save my progress. Not everyone has the luxury to spend or waste 10ths of hours just to get to the next level. Its a shame that a gorgeous game like this ache so much. Be aware. This is not like the Souls Series!
