Marvel Rivals8
Dec 20, 2024
Marvel Rivals is a great case study on how to take a genre full of same feeling games and inject them with some much uniqueness. On first look if you played Overwatch on release and loved it you will be at home here. Once you dig deeper it’s apparent a lot of time and energy was put into making the characters of the marvel universe feel like themselves regardless of what “timeline” they hale from. With unique additions to the genre like “team up” abilities and destructive assets all over the map from decorative fodder to whole walls/building crumbling you will feel like you are apart of a 6v6 chaotic battle. Only time will tell if Rivals is here to stay!

No Man's Sky10
Dec 14, 2024
When this title first released it was one of the biggest bait and switches of all the gaming industry at that point. No Mans Sky left us feeling like we were robbed of our money and time. Fast forward to 2024 and not only has Hello Games brought to life every promise that was listed originally and then some, but they’ve also just revamped the whole dang universe within the game. It’s hard not to love this huge open world universe sandbox that you can either play alone or with friends. If I even attempted to list out all the content in this game, it would be paragraphs upon paragraphs of content. It’s rare that I say this, but whatever you enjoy about open world games you will find a little slice of something you love within this. Buy it at full price or buy it on a discount you will not be disappointed. No Mans Sky is a vivid reminder that polish and quality takes time, and if a company wants to fix a game it can.

(Early access Review) Software Inc is like if game dev tycoon had a baby with the sims and injected it with performance enhancing drugs. This game packs so much content into such a little lightweight indie game. What can you do in this game you ask? Run a software company, make games, make operating systems, Officer software and much more. Specialize in one thing or everything! Run a server house, or marketing company snipe research from other companies or Ddos your competitors. Have a team of 10 or 1000, the skies the limit and the only thing that will hold you back in this game is your own creativity.

Welcome to Stellaris a game where you can spend hours perfecting your favorite imaginary alien race only for them to be replaced end game with robotic space slugs that never die! The game is packed with years of content to play through, and the best part is every play through is something unique and fun to experience. You can either use the premade alien roster, or make a group of your own, play with friends, strangers, or solo for even more fun. The best part of 4x strategy games are no turn timer so you wont be waiting for that one friend who can’t figure out how to move his pawns, or what to upgrade in his city.

Grounded9
Dec 14, 2024
Grounded is the most interesting open world survival game to enter the genre in the last couple of years. Taking inspiration from the “Honey I shrunk the kids” series this game will make you think twice before stepping out into your own backyard! The only gripes I have with the game so far comes down to quality-of-life improvements I feel like should have been added in before release. And even then there’s nothing missing that would make someone hate the game.

This game has its flaws... random frame drops, weird animations, and buggy combat from time to time. with all that said this game is beautiful, and makes one think what EA could actually do given a team that isn't money hungry I guess we will see if they can keep this up. In closing i'd say buy this game at full price if you are a starwars enthusiast and love gaming. If you are a casual gamer this might be a little harder for you to play maybe but it on a steam sale.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey8
Dec 14, 2024
The predecessor to Origins, AC Odyssey sees us going back to the times of the Athenians and Spartans. at this time there is no brotherhood, no hidden ones, yet Odyssey still somehow feels like an AC game, and your character still feels like he could a proto-assassin badass. This journey isn’t without its minor issues, however. The game map is Huge, if not one of the biggest AC maps to date and it shows as its easy-to-get lost searching around its amazing landscapes. With the map being so big it can feel a big dead at times. My other minor gripe for the game is that you can choose between male or female player characters however the female character is the Sole canonical story character in the series. I would have just rather Ubi had her be the sole character to play as if that was going to be the case. My last gripe for this outing is that the battle mechanics spread throughout the map see you aligning with either side of the war… however we all know there’s one winner in the end even if you sided with one faction the whole time. Kind of makes the whole situation feel pointless to the player.

Dec 14, 2024
Assassin’s Creed Origins is the breath of fresh air the franchise needed after 2 years of waiting on a new release. Set in the Ptolemaic Dynasty we get to see the Romans, and the Greeks battle it out set in a lush huge world topping anything that’s come before it, save for black flag. AC Origins strikes a great balance between hidden take downs and fluid combat throughout its huge campaign adventure. The icing on the top of the cake is its liberal use of mythical lore to inject a bit of mystery in its historical setting.

I will start by saying this: each one of our PCs will be different with different specs... Just because someone is crashing out and 'hates the game' doesn't mean its a bad port. In my 3.5 hours of playing so far i've only encountered one crash (gtx 1080/16gigs ddr3/i7-4790)Hardly a issue seeing as i've beta tested garbage cans such as fallout 76 and Anthem (you would think with the amount of people complaining that this game was just as bad as that!)Loving the mix between wild nature, and machine. There's so much to do, and so much rich story, and i'm only 3 hours in! Oh and if that's not enough for you... NO... MICRO... TRANSACTIONS...Worth a full price and then some! So hush up you little and enjoy the content your getting.

Among Us10
Dec 14, 2024
When I hear “Among Us” I think wow… what a diamond in the ruff here. Not only does it ruin all types of relationships, but it even manages to bring out the fighting spirit in the most introverted people. This game is super fun with friends if you have a full group, and don’t have to type to randoms. My only minor complaints would be the servers being over capacity during the majority of ‘peak’ times. Also randoms leave quiet frequently in the games causing some games to be very short so that’s a bummer if you don’t have a full group. At the end of the day this is a Gem to be treasured with your closest friends, and even a game where you can make new better friends who won’t sus you first round and throw you out into space you know who you are (cat you sus ass )

I bought this game on release when it first came out on the windows store, and decided to pick up the Juggernaut Edition on stream a couple of weeks ago. I must say this is a very fun game with a lot of newly added content like the bounties, new maps, game modes, and other quality of life improvements. This game has definitely been made better by the years of ever expanding content. There are still a few bugs here and there but nothing that will ruin the game play for you just some minor inconveniences. Here’s hoping the 3rd game will be just as good if not better as this installment.

I remember talking to a friend and telling him it would be amazing if Divinity 2 had more DnD aspects to it then Larian Studios was like “hold my beer I gotchu fam” and here we are! Graphics are stunning, Cut scenes are awesome (a big buggy right now but most glitches are funny)Yes it has bugs, some are more annoying than others, and some are just down right hilarious fun, but again its early access. However I will remark that this is a more polished early access experience than Divinity 2 that is for SURE.Play with your friends, die with your friends, Make sure you don’t look that easy looking chest only to blow up a second later because it was booby-trapped! Save often and have lots of fun.

I can say that I am very happy with how vigilant the developer has been with communicating that they want to perfect the product as much as they can.I was not a hype beast for cyberpunk, and I can say without a shadow of a doubt its lived up to all the hype I’ve seen about it, and I can’t wait to see what the developers do with the game going forward. Off the bat the game looks great for its age, The coop parts are definitely dated, however have a nice familiarity to games of the past. I was able to play as Chris, and Sheva and my boyfriend, and I’s play through. I can say without a doubt this game shines when you are with a friend in the coop mode. The games fast pace, and fun boss fights make it a sure fire hit for old Resident Evil fans, and new fans alike! The only complaint I can lodge at the game is the terrible aiming and camera systems though you have to remember this game is old, and games have gotten a lot better. All in all I wish more Resident Evil games were coop because it’s not something I would normally play alone, but with friends is super fun and engaging!

Biomutant9
Dec 14, 2024
Imagine a world where a game company gives us a polished game that can be played on day one, has NO cash shop, and has a story that may not be ‘genre changing or high stakes’ but does what it says it’s going to do and does it incredibly well. You all are really out here being negative on something as simple as the NARRATOR, guys seriously you can turn him off in the menu…The game reminds me of ratchet and clank and I love it, I love creating items to beat people down with and I love the world they have created here. The game has some flaws like for example:- It would be nice to have more enemies in the world that spawn in- Some menus are a little clunky- And maybe it could be 49 or even 39 bucks.Literally the only complaints I can find about the game I just spent 4 hours into and will continue to put more time in over the coming week. Look if you like a hard game go hard mode, if you want an easier time then do easy or medium, but don’t sit here and tell me this game isn’t great for what It had to endure. If you want a great shooter go play a shooter, this isn’t your type of game. If you want to deal big damage numbers to 5 or 6 enemies at once this isn’t your type of game go play diablo or something.I can say this game caught me off guard in all the best ways and I hope it has DLC or we get a Biomutant 2 in the future. What you get in this game is:- a great looking full feeling world- a great crafting system- a fun story that doesn’t try to do too much- fun and intuitive character creation- no items locked behind a stupid currency or in game cash shopI end with this:If you are really going to listen to a review submitted by someone who played under 2 hours and refunded the game go ahead, but I can tell you I went into this game with an open mind for something new and was really surprised with what I got. Use the games options and tweak it to how YOU want it and enjoy the game.

Patron9
Dec 14, 2024
Patron is a fun medieval city builder that takes the ashes of what banished was, and fully realizes its game play and mechanics in a great new engine. However, calling this game just another “banished clone” fully undersells what the game is trying to accomplish. The game has a system of story events that change the events in your city ever so slightly, as well as adding technology researching, trading, and more! The drawback to this kind of game is simply that it’s hard for those who have not played its spiritual ancestor (Banished). Your villages will die, die a lot, and I mean a lot. However, you take what you learn, and you apply that until you have a hussin bussin bussin village! All in all, you are getting a great game for the money with which I am sure what will be more content on the horizon as the company continues to support it.

New World6
Dec 14, 2024
So, I played about 40-50 hours of the New world beta, and I got to say it was a super fun experience. The map feels immersive and invites you to explore its secrets. The loose story really gives you the freedom to build the world the way you, and your faction want to. A game such as new world doesn’t come without its setbacks. From beta to now the content hasn’t changed if much at all. The game also suffers from non-synced board quests for groups, and you do not get to choose where you start so if you want to start with a friend, it’s impossible if you don’t start together. In some areas the game feels like “play together alone” where I believe it should invite you with its in game systems to play together with your group. These little nitpicks don’t take away from this robust economy, and housing systems that will more than likely keep you playing long after you get burnt out on pvp wars!

Back 4 Blood6
Dec 14, 2024
The creators of Left 4 Dead bring you their ‘comeback’ to the genre in this action packed, adrenaline filled title. The game shares a lot of similarities with its predecessor; however, it does diverge from that formula to add some new game play mechanics such as the new card system. Build your deck Yugi Muto style and send those pesky ridden to the shadow realm while battling the randomized event cards the game throws at you. With everything this game does right it misses the mark on a couple key parts:- Firstly, day one content is extremely light for what this genre should be offering at a 60-dollar price point.- Secondly, balancing seems a bit off with ‘easy’ almost putting you to sleep, and ‘normal’ busting your balls harder than your wife after a long gaming binge.- Lastly, while Swarm is a nice idea on paper its execution and play mechanics in game is terrible and should be reworked. With some tweaks I think it could stand out to be a fun addition to the **** closing while the game is fun and something you will enjoy by yourself or with friends you can’t overlook the bloated price tag for the lack of content you are really getting with this game.

While gunfire reborn doesn’t do anything new for the genre, what it lacks in innovation it makes up for in fun weapon assortments, and interesting graphical choices. The saving grace for this game is that the devs seem persistent on adding tons of polish and continued new content to renew faith in the title. Overall i would heavily recommend this game if you can snag It on sale or if you don’t mind shelling the $20 for the game in its current bare bones **** if you are by yourself or with a group of friends pick this game up and have a fun time. Let loose and remember dying is a part of the experience!

The Ruined King: A league of Legends story is the RPG you never knew you needed. This game does everything right. Even the fishing mini-game is fun… and let me tell you I would rather play Anthem than fish in most games. With satisfying animations, great sound design, and stunning graphics you will be immediately immersed in the comings and goings of Bilgewater. Halo Infinite7
Dec 14, 2024
Halo infinite is a stunning master class on how to revive a franchise and listen to your community all at the same time. (Blizzard if you’re reading, please take notes) While things didn’t start off great (horrible exp system & infinite loading screens) 343 industries listened to their community and are taking the appropriate steps to make sure their players are happy. Gun play feels like halo, but don’t be fooled guns only play second fiddle to the art of grenade skipping. So, buckle up skip some grenades into the faces of your enemies and give them a nice solid **** only remaining gripe stems from the barren battle pass. While I understand this is a first for the franchise, I can’t help but notice the lack of actual content in the pass. Season 1 seems to be bloated with ‘time savers’ that should be built into the game for free NOT the pass. 343 please do better.

However just know that the frame stutters become quite annoying during boss fights where you need quick actions to dispatch your foes. My only other Gripe with the game is the abysmal coop experience. The game doesn’t only nail the art department but also nails the sound engineering too! I still have way more to play and cannot wait to see what the developers add to the future road map.

Green Hell8
Dec 14, 2024
Green hell is an exciting Realistic survival sim that drops you deep into a rain-forest with nothing but a girl friend who ditches you on day one and a walkie talkie that she uses to let you know she loves you but wants nothing to do with trying to find you. While the game is super fun and immersive with lots of things to find and craft, there are a few issues on multiplayer like sometimes you cannot see other creatures or mobs the host sees, and Infrequent game crashes. Aside from the few gripes found with the game its worth diving, and getting lost in its world (you will literally get lost)

Marvel's Midnight Suns6
Dec 14, 2024
Marvel’s Midnight Suns is a fun turn-based game that uses cards for its combat, while also using the environment around you to do damage to enemies and complete a handful of objectives. When you aren’t fighting against Lilith and her mind-controlled hydra henchmen you are learning more about the rest of the team and understanding more about the new main characters origins. The game struggles to find its pace at some points feeling very slow at times. While the game looks really nice it also struggles from graphic and performance issues from time to time.

Hogwarts Legacy9
Dec 14, 2024
Hogwarts Legacy is a game wrapped up in controversy that has 0% to do with the actual game. The first 5 minutes of starting the game you are immediately immersed, and constantly given things to do. At no point is there a lack of items to collect, lore to read, or people to attack. You can truly be whatever kind of wizard or witch you want with its in-depth character creation and that is a breath of fresh air. The game running on ultra is stunning and rarely hiccups. Drop the drama and enjoy a lush world full of wizarding and lore for harry potter fans and non-potter fans alike.

Marvel Snap8
Dec 14, 2024
Marvel snap is a unique mobile card game in that instead of the normal hearthstone, or legends of runeterra style play, you fight over 3 unique destinations in the marvel universe. The games are quick, and for a mobile title I don’t feel like I need to spend any money, not even on the battle pass. It’s an easy game to pick up for 5/10 minutes and feel instantly satisfied with the time you spent.
