Blood Bowl III1
Feb 18, 2024
The game has some promising things that could’ve made this crowded and loved. Unfortunately the developing company has completely dropped the ball.
Having a catastrophic release was not the best start for this game. However, it would’ve picked itself up if the bug fixes was the only issue. Unfortunately, those were actually the smaller problem. The biggest mistake was thinking they could go about this like any other game, targeting gamers. The Result is something very far from the BB2020 tabletop game being played today. The reality is that the target audience is 99% exciting tabletop players. So when drip feeding one team every 3 months and making it impossible to run leagues in a meaningful way, 99% of the players are excluded and won’t bother. Sprinkle some greedy EA-esque business behaviors, like charging insane amounts for customizing teams and season passes, you’ve got a complete train wreck. You can’t make up for all the nonsense by using marketing, engaging AndyDavo and all the other crap that’s been used to lure players in. Sure, I bought the game. But I won’t be returning to it. Therefore you have like 500 players on the servers.
And the AI, for playing games by yourself? Embarrassing.
The only way this game could be popular is if the top management realize they messed it up and dropped the ball (pun intended) and release all teams, make league admin available and let people play the actual game they love to play. Unfortunately, this will not happen. Someone hiding behind a lot of spreadsheets will just keep this afloat with minimal resources and keep ignoring the fan base of Blood Bowl.
Never again will I buy a Blood Bowl on release date. Fool me once…
For the last 1% of the potential customer base that don’t already play Blood Bowl IRL and are considering buying this, go play table top instead. And if you don’t know how, find a friend or local friendly gaming store. Trust me. Blood Bowl is an awesome game. This, however, is not worth your time and money.

Cyberpunk 207710

This game blows my mind. Sure, it had a rocky start. But with all the updates, patches and the DLC, this is by far, without competition, my best gaming experience ever. RPG. Story. Characters. Intermingling threads and a massive world build. Physics and fighting is immensely fun, especially when you’ve built your character the way you want to play. I just hope this game is the foundation for Cyberpunk 2, so I can get back into the frey. I will miss V, though. And her friends.

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty9

Wow! Just wow! This game blew me away. Again. Cyberpunk base game and the dlc are the absolutely best story games. Ever.
It’s everything I could ever dream of as a kid, reading Gibson and playing role playing games about dystopian mega cities.
Why not a ten? Because when the main story is finished the world is mostly dead and I miss it so much.
The systems, gameplay etc is massively overhauled in super good ways.
Bugs? Sure. Some wonky in-game economy? Absolutely. Is it still possible to build a one woman slaughterhouse army of a character? Oh, yeah!
But this time it’s time for… BLADES!

Absolute dogs**t! Dropfeeding rest of the teams for 4 years? Reconnect after being thrown out on the future road map? Which happens a lot. Lots of bugs. This could’ve been so much better, now it’s unplayable.

Mass Effect: Andromeda9
Jan 7, 2021
TL;DR: The game **** me in and kept me there for 8 straight hours. This is a must game. I’m not a fan of the Mass Effect series. The running back and forth for scanning. Endless looting, customization of weapons and gear. Crammed space stations with numerous dialogues and sterile environments. Clunky battle controls. Non engaging story. When I saw the new Andromeda being added to Gamepass, I pondered if it was worth check it out. Not because I like Mass Effect, but because space’s always fascinated me. The intro with a colonization ship traveling through space seemed promising. Maybe not the best graphics. Actually far from it. And the same clunkyness in controls. Animations are far from the best there is, especially since the game now has three years on it’s back. And yet, I plowed 12 hours in one day. Why? Usually, when a game is boring, I can manage a couple of hours. Leave it. Maybe come back and play some more. And finally get bored, leave and never come back. Very few games have that “it” factor. For me, it’s Oblivion, RDR 1-2, some GTAs, The Witcher III & the first Fall Outs that qualify. They just **** you into the world, making you crave to explore it. That is what Mass Effect did to me. Just a couple of hours in I had one Game of Throne like experience. By then the game had me, hook and sink. The social interaction with your team and others, the politics going on behind the curtains and solving the mystery of what brought down this once blooming part of the andromeda galaxy. What are the alien invaders after? Who can I really trust in our colony? All top ingrediences. Sure, the graphics are a bit outdated and the face animations are a tiny bit clunky sometimes. But mostly, they work good. And the voice acting is top notch. Listening to my team mates squabble amongst themselves are pure gold. But this makes the game a 9 and not a 10. The fighting is really funny, engaging, quick and variable in terms of how you defeat your enemies. Also, the AI works good in not just making your enemies stay in one place or go log stupid. Those of you who recently played Cyberpunk know what I mean. Maybe this game suit people who’s not played the previous MEs (or played but disliked). I don’t know. All I know is that I’m counting the hours until I can dive into space again, going about exploring it with my awesome space ship.
