Loved the premise, and some parts of the game excecuted on the premise beautifully, but most did not. Hard to navigate world, frustrating backtracking, painfully little creativity in fight areas, and a depressingly disappointing ending. Like the whole game, there was a lot of potential for the ending, finally, a new power, an upgraded parasitic control power almost. But then you never get to use it. You open one door, and the credits roll. Lovely art, lovely controls, hard to aim your tentacles.

Loved it. Beautiful, calming, charming. The puzzle solving can be frustrating at times, but the feeling of overcoming wacky controls and annoying villagers is more than enough to make up for it. I just wish I got to see more of the world and meet more people to honk at. 10/10

Loved this game, an amazing introduction to the souls-like genre. Beautiful art and world, engaging combat and story, fun bosses, and areas with just enough challenge to keep you on your toes, but not enough to make you feel like you're stubbing your toe through a cinderblock. Amazing game, would strongly recommend for anyone interested in Metroidvanias. 10/10

First played it as a young young child who could barely **** by the first boss. Loved it then, the beautiful world inspired my love for video games and animation. Later in life picked it back up and ran through it. As an adult, it was short, easy, and just a bit too bland. But I can't give it too low a score because of my memories of it as a child. Would not recommend it as the premiere platforming experience, or even the premiere smartphone platforming experience, but it's an excellent game for those looking for a short and approachable platformer they can play on the go. 8/10

Great game, amazing atmosphere, amazing challenge, amazing fun. The world was a bit sparse for content late game, but even then, even with the story finished, the quests completed, and the world ravished, the simple beauty of combat and environments always draws me back. 10/10 must play

I despise Mario games. I only played this because, and I am being absolutely serious here, the city area is the closest thing to GTA available on the switch. However, despite my hate for all things Mario, this game did surprise me, with beautiful areas, and a bit of engaging gameplay. Personally it was a slog most of the time, so many collectables, and so much challenging platforming. But I can't give it too low a score, because I knew what I was getting into when I bought it. Strongly strongly recommend for any Mario fans out there.

Very pretty, lovely narrative, lovely puzzles, certainly a wonderful, though short, platforming puzzle experience. Only wish it went on longer.

Very good game, my first souls game. So happy it's available on switch. It runs well, looks beautiful, and is so amazing to play. The game has crashed twice, but it was in some odd edge cases in unimportant areas. But that's all a review for Dark Souls. As a remaster, it's absolutely atrocious. Numerous unaddressed bugs and graphical issues. Disappointing little basic improvement from the first game. Honestly disappointing, and only an excuse to make as much money from a new generation console release. For new buyers, it's great. For old ones, not so much.
