Ark is a difficult thing to give a rating to. In a technical sense, it's impressive. In regards to the concept of the game and it's ability to immerse, there's definitely something there. But the longer you play it, the more negative experiences start to appear and stick around in your fore thoughts every play session. The game just fundamentally doesn't respect your time. Whether it's farming for dozens of hours just to lose it to a bug, having your save file deleted, or entire gameplay systems not even working, this game has a variety of bugs that would be thought completely unacceptable by any other developer. This is also perhaps the only game in existence that's in early access, and if selling paid mods. Paid mods that are also in early access. You can't make this stuff up. Somehow they've gotten their most loyal fans to support them and argue against common sense. So don't get gaslit, this game is indeed shady and you should spend your money elsewhere.
