Grand Theft Auto Online5

No this isn't because the launch was kind of a failure, I don't care about that. What I do care about is the overall quality of the Online. The Online is fun, I won't pretend it isn't because that would be a lie. HOWEVER the online does still have one fundamental floor that cripples the experience. The currency. Every feature is designed to try and spend as much of your money as possible! If you want to do a job that requires some kind of aerial vehicle you need to BUY ONE! Since 9 times out of 10 no vehicles will be spawned. Or how about when you die near your personal vehicle (Which is a pointless feature) it gets impounded and will often be damaged so you have to break it out of the Police Station and then repair it. And you NEED a personal vehicle as if the cops see you in a vehicle that isn't yours their spider sense kicks in and they know it's been stolen. Or you'll get a bounty put on your head by the owner who magically knew it was you that stole it (the game is called Grand Theft Auto for God's sake). The game also actively tries to stop you causing chaos with friends as the military bases and airports are walled off and difficult to get in also you have so little health that you die in very few shots. So in conclusion GTA online is ok you can have fun but is limited by certain features.

Call of Duty: World at War9

Wow...this game is brutal. It literally opens with a guy getting a cigarette rammed in his eye then having his throat slit spraying blood everywhere. I think that this game gets dark and gritty much better than the more recent Cod games (Which is ironic considering who makes them). Whilst the two campaigns (Russian and American) aren't that long they are still enjoyable. Also most of the performances are really good most of the time. The multiplayer is enjoyable but hackers run rampant so that ****. Also this game introduces Zombies which I'm glad for because it is brilliant. So yes I definitely recommend this game.

Batman: Arkham City - Catwoman Bundle Pack8
Apr 28, 2013
It is very interesting to play as Catwoman because she plays very differently to Batman and Rocksteady gives her quite a bit of character which is sometimes missing in other interpretations. However the missions are quite short but for the it's cheap price I'd say it's worth it.

Assassin's Creed III - The Betrayal8
Apr 28, 2013
Why all the hate for this DLC? It's brilliant! After the averageness of AC3 this DLC really took AC3 back to it's core whilst fulfilling the true potential **** set in a period of history. The real star of this DLC is the environment. It's so interesting to see how the environment has changed. Also people seem to be complaining about it cheapening AC3's story but it makes it REALLY CLEAR that this DLC is NON-CANON AT THE START! Animal powers are an interesting concept that could be overpowered but aren't. My only problem is that you don't get to see that many AC3 characters in this new universe and that whilst Washington is an interesting villain he disappears after the start. So this DLC is a decent experiment that pays off big time and takes AC back to it's core gameplay.

Aliens vs. Predator7
Apr 28, 2013
AvP is a solid game, especially if you're an Alien or Predator fan. The human campaign is creepy, the Predator campaign is exciting and the Alien is exciting. Also the graphics are better than Colonial Marines. The multiplayer is fun (Unless you're a marine) but sadly no one really plays it anymore. There are problems though. For some reason Marines can block melee attacks. There are STILL a lot of falling through floor glitches. The Alien and Predator Melee attacks feel more like punches. The stealth gameplay is sometimes broken. And the stories are almost completely forgettable. Also near the end you fight humans for some reason? So yeah this only gets a recommendation if you like the Alien and Predator franchises.

Overlord: Dark Legend7
Apr 27, 2013
Hmmm. Overlord Dark Legend. I have a Love/Hate relationship with the whole Overlord series. I love some of the features were really good and the series was genuinely funny. However some of the gameplay was unfair and just frustrating. Also this series seemed to be stuck between being a dark comedy and being more kid friendly. The latter category is where this instalment in the series falls. It has greatly simplified the formula of the original two games. There's only one form of minion life juice (Which I actually kind of like). There's no mistresses (I assume to make it more kid-friendly). No real castle or Overlord customisation. Also sadly the only remaining minions are Gnarl and sort of the Jester (No Giblet?). Also sadly they removed the interesting Minion gameplay from Overlord 2. This game is a prequel interestingly and it sometimes taps into that potential but not enough. I did like how the humour was based around twisting fairytales. So basically this is a stripped down version of Overlord which tries to be more kid-friendly and sadly removes most of the minion personality. So it just gets a recommendation for the solid gameplay.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare10

Yeah I gave it a ten. DEAL WITH IT! I LOVE this game every couple of months I'll replay the story mode (Which thank God doesn't het as DARK AND GRITTY as the other games do later on) just because I love it that much. Whilst it does have respawning enemies, a few (But not too many) scripted moments and quite a weak main antagonist I can see past all of this because I love this game SO MUCH! The pacing is superb, the story is actually interesting and the dialogue between characters is amusing with quite a sad ending. And oh my God this was the first game to truly shock me (Pun intended) with that mission and it's aftermath anyone who's played this game will know which one. Sadly however the multiplayer is in a bit of a state with hackers and modders (Although not as many anymore) running rampant through games. So basically this game definitely gets a recommendation!

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 29
Apr 26, 2013
Ok yes I know there is one highly controversial mission but you can skip it if you want to so I'm not including it in my review Also yes I know you can call this game overrated but it it still a very solid game. So: call of duty MODERN WARFARE 2 or at least that's what my game-box says. Whilst the single player isn't quite as good as COD 4 it is still very well paced and intriguing with in my opinion the best Call of Duty villain in the whole series to be found in Vladimir Makarov. Also I like the way the ending of COD 4 causes severe problems for the protagonists in this game. Whilst the setpieces can get a little too IN YOUR FACE!!! it doesn't get as bad as later instalments. Also there are some great twists which I didn't see coming. This game also has a lot of commentary on wars and opposing philosophies as well as showing what effects the loss of soldiers can have of commanders. It's also a shame that the sequel really doesn't have much payoff for the ending of this game (But that's another review). However a couple of things don't really make sense in this game's campaign but I can suspend my disbelief. Finally multiplayer is really fun and balanced and Spec Ops adds an interesting couple of missions in. In conclusion whilst not reaching the perfection of COD 4 this game is still really good and definitely gets a recommendation.

Halo 310
Apr 26, 2013
Call me a Fanboy but I love Halo (Sure it kinda rips of Aliens in a few too many places) but I love the supporting cast, the multiplayer (No not Halo 4's!) and the whole idea of a race of Aliens united by their religious ideals which they accepted or were forced to. This is by far a truly epic conclusion (Yes conclusion) to Master Chief's story and the whole Human Covenant war. It's story and set-pieces are epic without being too in your face. The multiplayer is well-balanced in my opinion with my favourite set of maps in the whole Halo series. Forge makes an interesting addition which you can sink hours or seconds into. What am I missing... oh yeah theatre mode also makes an interesting addition (Although I didn't spend a lot of time using it) and it really does FINISH THE FIGHT! If you've just bought a 360 this is a must own!

Call of Duty: Black Ops II - Revolution7
Apr 26, 2013
NOTE! I am not reviewing this DLC with my opinions on DLC considered I am only reviewing it on it's actual quality. Revolution gives us two good multiplayer maps with the rest being fairly average and an excellent return to form for Zombies. Also for the first time we get a new weapon (Which I recall they said they would never do) the Peacekeeper. It could be considered OP with the range of an Assault Rifle but it has the range and recoil of a SMG so it kinda balances out. Also we get a shallow mode in which you can play as a Zombie (Another thing they said that they would never do) and have to hunt down a human and if you kill the human you become it, ultimately though it's nothing special. So yeah this DLC just gets a recommendation especially if you were a Zombies fan and were't satisfied by Tranzit (Transit).

Assassin's Creed III - The Redemption8
Apr 26, 2013
So this intriguing episodic alternate reality DLC's has been really good and the finale doesn't disappoint. A naval mission, a new animal power (although I still used Eagle the most), huge battle scenes and finally it takes Assassin's Creed back to it's roots of Assassinating and philosophical jousting (not house renovation!). However this DLC isn't perfect it still does feel a little padded in some places, blatant AC4 advertisement and still very buggy. Also I really love how the city has changed so much (sadly it is still smaller than in AC3). However I still can't help but feel that despite a satisfying ending I had no real reason or feeling that I needed to return to the interesting world it conjured. So in conclusion I feel that this DLC really does take AC back to it's roots and if you can get past the glitches and padding it is a really good return to form for the series which I felt was slowly degrading after ACB. Here's hoping AC4 doesn't turn into A Pirates Code.
