Victoria 3 is a hard game to rate. The term 'wide as an ocean' rarely applies better, this is truly a monstrously ambitious and grand game, but at the same time, many of that width feels barebone and leaves the player feeling more like they're playing a game of Chess than an excellent RPG experience. It's unfortunate, but this is just Paradox's standard. I do believe that in a few years this could be a real 9/10, but it isn't there yet. Still, this is just putting it up to the very high standard that Grand Strategy gamers have for replayability and complex simulation. It's not as if Victoria 3 is a poor game in any way, it just attempts and advertises far more than it current achieves.

Not a perfect game, but it's a wonderfully refreshing yet classic-feeling take on the Shoot-Em-Up genre that, for the price of just 5 USD, is a very obvious buy.

This is a very particular sort of game. It's not user friendly. It's not going to make learning easy. It's not going to fire off a hundred flashing lights a second to keep your attention. But for those who can find appeal in one of the most intricate strategy management rpg, it contains hundreds of hours of bliss.

I wish I could rate this higher. There's a lot to love. The new Race/Class combo is super fun, and can look pretty cool with the right cosmetic options. The new zones are gorgeous and a lot of great improvements has been made to the core content. Old functions are slowly getting overhauled and this really does feel like the first time WOW has played like a modern game. But the narrative is just too poor. No matter how good an RPG is, if the dialogue is so painfully cringe-worthy that you don't even want to read it, what's the point? Unfortunately, despite all its beauty and fun gameplay, Dragonflight is not an MMO to get lost in. The dialogue and narrative are overly childish and disney-esque in a way that I doubt will appeal to its overwhelmingly adult playerbase.
