Really, I'd like to leave two reviews here. One for the gameplay and one for the story. The story is just solid as disgaea goes, which means you're probably going to enjoy the characters as they romp through the netherworld doing their thing, but it's nothing spectacular by the high standards of some of its older entries. As for the gameplay though, this is about as strong as I've seen disgaea, about on par with 5 in my opinion. If you just want to turn the part of your brain that handles literature off and just do the whole "big numbers go brrr" thing, this is probably one of the better entries in the series for you.
