The game starts off slow and actually quite boring. The first plot twist was obvious a mile away, and the first open world part felt detached and very uninteresting. The game slowly picks up and becomes quite good, but then falls apart again towards the end. At one point during what is supposed to be an emotional scene, the classic Last of Us music kicks in, and I realized for the first time in hours, that I was playing The Last of Us 2, but it didn't feel like it. It felt like someone just stuck the music on top of a different game. Positives: Gorgeous graphics Beautiful world design At times compelling story Fun gameplay Negatives: Story is a complete mess Filler story parts Forced sexuality discussion All in all a very big let down from Naughty Dog, especially after the amazing Last of Us and Uncharted 4.
