Such a fun game! A platformer, story, mystery and a rhythm game. So nice! I love the fact that the various “modes” breaks up the game. The story really has you feeling for the main character. (And the other characters too!)

I wanted this game to be better. The tone of dialogue is weird, the game crashes at inexplicable points, and the subtitles are impossible to read without being a foot away from the screen. The worst part is, the game is so confusing (mission wise) that I find myself forgetting what I need to do next and why. It’s also fairly arbitrary when combatants die, so you have to just keep whacking at them until they just fall over. What a strange game. Glad I got it free on Game Pass. The developer doesn’t seem willing to fix any of these issues.

Although Fallout 76 should have taught me the lesson (for life) never to pre-order a game unless I knew the franchise and format well, I went ahead and pre-ordered this garbage game. Like Fallout 76, I hope the bugs are worked out in the coming year, and it's finally playable, but it won't fix the discordant mess, the genital selection system I can't un-see, or the 30+ minute game-within-a-game tutorial that could have just as easily been built into the game itself by skilled game designers. If your game requires players to play a virtual multi-level tutorial just to figure out how to play the game, you're doing something wrong. Most successful games will simply put you in a tutorial-like level when you first start the game, putting obstacles in your way, and stepping you through them: press X to jump, Y to crouch, Z to shoot. Oh, no, there's a door with a lock on it, let's figure out how to hack this lock. Stuff like that. Fallout 4 has the right idea, as does Deus Ex, The Outer Worlds, Mass Effect, Elder **** know, AAA games that aren't trying too hard to be European versions of GTA. Maybe wait until the game's matured a little bit, and buy it then. Also, for the love of Cthulhu please read the ESRB web-site for this game. It has an M for Mature rating but I seriously think we need to start looking at the Ao rating again. This game is nothing like the M for Mature games my family has played for over a decade. Had I read the full ESRB rating on their web-site, I probably wouldn't have purchased this game - just like I haven't purchased any of the current GTA games, because I'm not a fan of interacting with hookers in a game - it's just too close to life. (But seriously, this game is NOT for kids.) In summary, if Best Buy offered refunds on opened games, I would ask for a refund in a heartbeat. As it is, this game will sit on my shelf as a sad reminder not to buy games from random companies the industry doesn't yet trust. This is barely a AAA game. Edit 12/18/2020: Was able to return the OPENED copy of this game to a Best Buy location which stated that they don't normally take back opened games, but because of all the problems, they have a permanent exception for this game in their system. They said they had the same issue with Witcher when it came out. If you pre-ordered, based on filtered information and lies, and don't like the game, return it to get your money back!
