In short: this game, is an interactive movie, not an actual game. The climbing in this game suffers from the same problems that Shadow of the Tomb Raider and the modern day Assassin's Creed games suffer from: it is too simple. There is no challenge to the climbing. There is 1 very clear path - outlined in white ledges - that you need to take. The biggest consequence to the 3 times you die as a result of missing a ledge in the whole game is the couple of extra seconds you miss before being sent back to 5 seconds before you died. There is no need for any sort of thinking to know what your next move or where your next path is going to be. And if you take 1 minute extra to think, the game makes sure that you're not burning through too many grey matter in your brain and just points you to what you need to do. The puzzles are also insultingly simple; it's just a hassle to do what is very clearly required of you. Again, if you take 1 extra minute to think, the game tells you what you need to do so you won't have a difficult time playing. The best parts of the game are the shooting parts. The level design is decent, the enemy AI is very challenging and they flank you every chance they get. Top notch shooting really. It's just a shame there's not that many of them. While story can be more subjective, to me, the story was incredibly bland. I did not care one bit about the drama between Elena and Nathan as every line seemed weightless and ultimately inconsequential. Sam and Nate had better dynamics, but not by much. But the worst parts in the whole game were the young Nathan missions, which combines the worst part of Uncharted 4 - the actual climbing - with "exploration" elements, which is essentially walking around painfully slowly, picking up artifacts and making goofy comments about them, and some explanation of why the events in the present day are unfolding the way they are. But they ultimately feel inconsequential as well and definitely not worth the amount of time and patience you need to spend to finish them. I think the few beautiful set-pieces and the amazing graphics blinded people to how shallow this game actually was in terms of story and gameplay (minus the shooting sections). Uncharted 4 is a great game for the casual gamer but a travesty for gamers who look for a GAME to PLAY, and not an interactive movie.

the game has it's moments and Edward is a cool character but my main gripe with this game is that at no point in this game did I feel like an assassin!!! It was JUST a pirate game with some forced long ass cutscenes in the middle to somehow link the game to the franchise. It's an alright game overall but very little to link it to the franchise.

I played it on my iPad and yeah sure there were a lot of cool surprises and cool twists but at no point was I BLOWN AWAY! It's a nice TIME WASTER and nothing more. There's no deep mechanics or anything. It's one of those games that you can just watch people play and it would give the same experience because there's barely any challenge!

all your criticisms towards the characters and the easy boss fights are valid, yes. I didn't particularly like this Dante or Vergil either (especially not how Dante suddenly finds a soft spot for Kat!) but the absolute intense, hard-hitting and balls to the walls action makes the game absolutely worth playing. And the absolute best thing about it is the desire to just fly higher in the middle of a combo. to this day no other game has been able to pull of such feet, not even the EXCELLENT DMC 5!

Had an awesome time playing this game both in single and multiplayer. The story is awesome and the multiplayer maps were awesome too! it's more call of duty on the ground without people jumping around with ridiculous looking skins! you can't go wrong!

After having played a good portion of the campaign I came here expecting glowing reviews! WTF?! The campaign doesn't quite live up to World at War but it still definitely holds its own in the set pieces. The stealth isn't overdone like in Battlefield and even though the premise of it even existing in a World War game it's a welcome change of pace and doesn't overstay its welcome (like in Battlefield where every other mission is a stealth one!!!) Yeah I guess you could say the guns don't sound that great and there's not a whole lot of variety but they still feel good (if a bit weak though... except the Kark98 that **** is fu**ing amazing!). The characters are a hit and miss for me... Pierson is kinda bland and the writing's a bit too cliched but Zussman is still pretty entertaining but I'd say characters are a weak point of the game (so far at least!). I also didn't care for the new medkit system at all! I think it's too distracting and breaks the immersion (one reason would be there's no option to for example hold down the medkit button and use 2 at the same time so it's a long wait to get back to the action) But overall the best things about the campaign are the set pieces and the over the top in-between segments that are genuinely exciting. In the end I'd say it's no World at War... but it comes damn close to it... if only it made us care more about the characters and had better writing.

People who review the game badly are either fanatics of the first 2 games (which I feel for you!) Or have enormous performance issues (who I feel for again!) Honestly I didn't spend too much time on Dead rising 2 so not a fanatic of the first 2 but I definitely did experience cpu overheating a whole lot with this game. With that aside the game as a standalone title is great. One o those that make you forget what you're actually supposed to be doing! I killed 35k zombies in this game and had a ton o fun doing it. And the story is surprisingly engaging. Though... Frank cracked more jokes at the start of the game, he was still adequately funny throughout.

I sorta have mixed feelings about this. While I definitely enjoyed the dlc and really didn't miss the lack of weaponry (cuz the progression system kept me on my toes) I get why people are pissed off about having to buy this to see what happened to Frank (personally I didn't pay for it). But overall I'd say I had a pretty fun time going over the 2 hour gameplay twice. It adds difficulty and time limit... Just the thing everyone was complaining that was missing from the original game so I don't get all the flac it's been getting.

Still haven't finished the game. Lvl 18 so far but the game is absolutely unbelievable! The 2 new characters feel right at home and any defensive stance you might take on either of them will soon go away just because how well written everything they say or do are! And even though I haven't finished the game yet the story has been fantastic so far! It's so cool that they actually gave us a taste of what the story in this one was gonna be in the reboot's DLC! What a move! And the gameplay... oh man... its mechanics is the deepest I've seen in any hack 'n slash game I've ever seen! it's satisfying, it's hard hitting, it's intense, it's deep and it looks and sounds incredible! I would say if you are new to the series, it's still gonna be an absolutely amazing experience but you would miss out on some of the "holy **** that's **** cool" and especially the "just like old times" moments that only the fans will enjoy. And it's not like the previous games aren't enjoyable now! But I can't be unbiased towards them so I might be wrong! I've recently played the previous games again and had a ton of fun. If there are any negative points even worth mentioning is the fact the I guess I would've like to see V having a bit deeper fighting mechanics and I would also liked to see Kyrie playing a part too... I really miss her! She was so cute and she was everything Nero was not! Also she was the most Japanese element of the game and sorta gave DmC 4 an even more unique feel to it. (I also liked Nero's hair in the previous one... again, it was more Japanese. But I understand they wanted to make the game just a LITTLE Cyberpunky so... I guess I understand why they made the hair shorter!) Anyways, enough of me talking. Just go ahead and buy the game for crying out loud! And if you're new to the series, don't be afraid of playing the previous games. Although if you're just after the story I'd say skip DmC 2013... even though the gameplay is **** fantastic! (not saying the story was bad though... it just doesn't tie in to the series a WHOLE lot, it still does tho) Thanks for taking the time to read!

Mindless and boring copy of Assassins' Creed and Arkham City. The game was just too uninteresting to finish! And the EXTREMELY familiar controls to Arkham City made me feel like Rocksteady could actually SUE them!

If I had a nickel for how many times the awfully voiced and dull protagonist said "peace and justice" I'd be a millionaire! HE'S SO INCREDIBLY DULL AND CLICHED IT'S UNBELIEVABLE! The jungles are way too open for absolutely no reason. The world is mostly empty with some animal hunting in between that seems completely pointless. It's buggy as hell and the combat is dumbed down from the previous games leading the series into an Arkham knockoff! Overall one of the worst games I ever played!
